Chapter 14: Chapter 14
Back In Marvel Universe
Nolin checked the time as he returned to the Marvel Universe.
7:00 AM—perfect timing!
"Looks like I really do have the potential to be a master of time management," Nolin said to himself, satisfied with how he planned his schedule. After letting Kara rest, he came back just in time to train.
He washed up, scrubbing away any traces of the earlier "battle."
Kryptonian power was no joke.
This was the first time Nolin had experienced such overwhelming strength, and at first, it felt unfamiliar. But thanks to Kara's guidance, he quickly adapted.
Fortunately, Kara's body was just as strong as his newly enhanced form. Otherwise, there was no way anyone could handle the raw power he was still learning to control.
Looking down at his hands, Nolin activated his biological stance to stabilize himself, getting accustomed to this new state.
Technically, the biological stance was more of a passive ability. It didn't require constant focus unless Nolin got overly excited and lost control of his strength.
Still, he hadn't yet reached the level of a full-fledged Kryptonian. Unlike Kara or Kal-El, who had grown up adapting to their powers, Nolin needed more time to adjust.
Even Kara, despite being a "young girl," possessed far greater strength than most beings on Earth. Her ability to control her powers far exceeded what people imagined.
Kara could absorb sunlight and quickly master abilities like super hearing and x-ray vision.
But for Nolin, his newfound super senses were more of a headache than a gift. At first, he struggled to shut out the chaotic noise bombarding his ears, nearly driving him insane.
It wasn't until Kara helped him on the way back that he finally learned how to manage it.
Now that he was familiar with the Kryptonian physiology and abilities, Nolin finally relaxed.
At his current strength, he wasn't invincible, but self-defense was no longer an issue.
Within Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, the only one he might fear was Jean Grey.
For the rest?
"Sorry, I can fight you one-handed."
This was the confidence Kara gave him—no, this was the result of his own hard work!
Nolin finished washing up, grabbed his backpack, and headed out of the dormitory.
Sleep?
Go back and rest?
Please—don't underestimate my stamina!
Supergirl? I can handle more rounds!
When he stepped outside, the warm sunlight bathed his body.
If he had a system prompt, it would definitely say:
"Strength +1, Endurance +1, Agility +1, Energy +1."
His cells were alive, buzzing with energy, thanks to the yellow sun's radiation.
"What a beautiful day!"
Nolin sighed contentedly and made his way to the classroom.
He chose a seat by the window, opened it wide, and let the sunlight hit him directly.
After a while, students began arriving.
Seeing Nolin already there puzzled many of them—he was usually the last to arrive, barely making it in time.
But the girls, on the other hand, lit up with smiles.
Blushing, they started placing their breakfast on his desk.
"Nolin, you must've skipped breakfast coming so early. Here, have my milk. It's sweet and delicious!"
"No, no! Forget that—try my sandwich. It's big enough for two, fresh, and absolutely satisfying!"
"My breakfast might not be big or sweet, but my eggs are soft and smooth—just like me!"
Soon, Nolin's desk was piled with food.
He responded with polite smiles and soft words, thanking each of them and asking them to return to their seats before the teacher arrived.
But now, faced with this mountain of food, he was genuinely conflicted.
Should he drink the sweet milk? Eat the fresh sandwich? Or dip the soft eggs into the milk?
Even though he wasn't particularly hungry—Kryptonians could absorb energy from sunlight—he decided to eat anyway.
Without yellow sunlight, Kryptonians needed large amounts of food to sustain themselves, but under the sun, they barely required any nourishment.
Still, eating was a habit for Nolin, one that wouldn't go away easily.
Going forward, food might shift from being a necessity to a source of enjoyment.
In the end, he chose to eat both the sandwich and the milk.
Why choose? Take everything!
Watching Nolin devour the food, the girls around him felt satisfied despite their hunger.
They believed Nolin liked their offerings—and maybe even liked them.
But when Kitty Pryde sat down beside him, the other girls glared at her and muttered in unison:
"Hussy!"
The warm, sunny morning quickly passed.
It was biology class—again.
Ororo Monroe, better known as Storm, was teaching.
Nolin sat by the window, soaking up the sunlight and feeling energized.
However, as noon approached, the weather suddenly changed.
Dark clouds rolled in, blocking the sunlight.
The sudden lack of sunlight made Nolin frown.
While thinking of a solution, he looked up and saw Ororo standing at the podium.
"Wait a second... I have an idea!"
