Marvel: Spiderman, family life

Chapter 6: 6

Spiderman stood on top of a building overlooking New York, realizing again that he is completely alone against a threat that he is sure he cannot solve.

Spider-Man's thoughts on how to defeat Solus ran through his head over and over again for the past six days, failing to come up with a plan that didn't include his immediate sacrifice.

He knows that he cannot really defeat Solus and even with his sacrifice it is possible that the latter will not be defeated and will only cause more destruction.

'There is only that option left, no matter how much I try to think of a plan that can put an end to Solus, it always ends with the worst outcome, plus I have to try to get May back from his arms and trick him into believing that he really accepts the deal'. Spiderman's thoughts wandered trying to come up with a plan where he wouldn't have to use that option, because that would mean the end of his journey.

Stopping thinking about plans, Spiderman jumped off the building to throw a net and start swinging towards the warehouse. He knew that this was possibly his end, but he didn't want to make Aunt May sad and he didn't want to get close to the heroes because why? He knows they will reject him and possibly try to catch him for questioning about the bank robbery.

Spiderman swinging began to remember his life as he looked around New York, and passed by the places where he once was.

The midtown science and technology school, the place where he studied, where he was mistreated and also the place where he met his first and second love.

Empire State University, where he began his university studies and which he would later abandon because he could not balance his life as Peter Parker.

Finally, the place where because of him, SSwen Stacy, at that time his girlfriend, died at the hands of the green goblin, only to later find out that she had cheated on him and even had children with the green goblin, which turned out to be a lie from the green goblin to break his psychological defense.

In the end the children were his children, but like everything that comes into his hands, he could not protect them.

The sadness in Spiderman is palpable as he swung around the city, he felt guilty, guilty of the death of Gwen Stacy, of his children, of his separation from Mary Yane, of Mayday, the guilt gnawed at him so much that he wanted to die in the same moment in which he freed Mayday from the clutches of Solus.

Spiderman finally arrived at the place where Solus was waiting for him.

The moment Spiderman entered the place, he found the imposing figure of Solus and at his side his beloved daughter Mayday sleeping peacefully on the floor.

''Mr. Spider, I didn't think you would come alone, but since you are here it means you accept the deal.'' In a terrifying calm Solus spoke the moment Spiderman arrived.

''Yes, Solus, I accept the deal, now hand me over to Mayday and Mephisto.'' Spiderman calming his mind as best he could accepted the deal.

''That's a good choice, Mr. Spider.'' Solus using some of his abilities sent Mayday and Mephisto after Spider-Man.

''Now that I've fulfilled my part of the agreement, it's time for you to fulfill yours.'' Solus very calmly began to approach Spider-Man who was instantly on guard.

''It seems that just as I assumed, you would not give up, Mr. Insect.'' While those words came out of Solus's mouth, his figure appeared in front of Spiderman and without giving him time to react, Solus's arm found itself inserted into Spiderman's heart.

The moment Solus reached into his heart to steal his totenic essence, Spider-Man knew his last option would work.

''You know insect, at first, when I came to this world with the aim of making a deal with you, I did not expect that the most important totem in the network of life and destiny would be dead and that in his place someone but it was occupying his body, it really was a horrible surprise, at that moment I thought about leaving this place.'' Solus, stealing Spiderman's life spoke as a smile slowly formed on his face.

''And why....didn't you leave...ock...''. Spiderman spoke as he was attacked by unbearable pain.

''That was going to explain Mr. Insect. You see, at the moment when I was thinking of leaving, I detected your essence in several places, apparently you had descendants.'' Solus, with a tone of annoyance and at the same time joy, explained to Spider-Man why he didn't leave.

The surprise on Spiderman's face would be enormous if it weren't for the pain that tormented him every second, preventing him from thinking clearly.

Solus did not care about Spider-Man's status, he continued to absorb the essence of Spider-Man while not leaving aside his story.

''You know insect, it was quite interesting to know that you had offspring, so I tried to see if I could absorb their essence, but apparently the web of life and destiny pays special attention to them.'' Solus knew that the time it would take to absorb the essence of this Spider-Man would be long, but he was still impressed, it had taken five minutes and he still had a lot of essence left.

''Al..eg..a..te..d..e...them''. Suddenly Spiderman tried to move, but was quickly suppressed by Solus.

''An even more interesting thing that I found out while I was investigating was that I managed to know their names, you want to know them, don't worry, I won't leave you with the benefit of the doubt, their names were, Valeria and Franklin from Baxter Tower, they were also Rachel, Phoebe, Sophie, Esme, Celeste and Irma from Krakoa Island and last but not least, tun, tun, you know who, you don't expect it, they are the children of the witch scarlet that manifested themselves at the wish of their mother, you know what I was thinking of doing if the web of life and destiny had not protected them, kill them very slowly and you know who would have been to blame for their deaths, you, you, you and only you, because you couldn't protect your children.'' Solus suddenly changed his tone to a thicker one halfway through the story, blaming the badly injured Spider-Man for what he would have done if the web of life and destiny had not interfered with his actions.

Spiderman just stared Solus in the eyes, he knew that his chance to put an end to Solus once and for all was about to come, with a great price for him.

Solus was increasingly annoyed by Spider-Man's challenging attitude so he accelerated the absorption of his totenic essence, smiling a little when Spider-Man let out a sharp cry of pain.

Spiderman quickly closed his mouth to avoid waking Mayday and not having to face a problem like Mephisto in these conditions.

''But well, at the moment when I was really thinking about leaving this place, I discovered something very interesting, you were alive, only a small part of your consciousness that was fighting to wake up, but still that gave me hope, so I decided to wait. a year and if you did not appear in a year I would do everything possible to kill your descendants as payment for my wait.'' That was the last word Solus spoke before detecting that something was wrong with the essence he was absorbing and trying to move his arm away from Spider-Man's chest.

''I GOT YOU''. Spiderman suddenly grabbed Solus's arm, preventing his movement.

Unbeknownst to either of them, the broken camera was recording everything live and broadcasting the events between Spiderman and Solus to who knows where.

AUTHOR'S NOTE- Some people will think that the events are linked and they are not, I need them to be in that order to make sense of my story.
