(I really missed this)

Prime exclaimed happily in Sara's mind as she savored a burger. Responding to Prime's craving, Sara and he quickly headed to the nearest establishment, called "Randy's Burgers" After grabbing two burgers, they made their way to a nearby park, sitting on a bench to enjoy the meal.

"I really wish I could understand how you're savoring this, even though I'm the one eating"

Sara expressed curiosity and surprise in her voice as she said this. She didn't know much about Prime, so she couldn't imagine how he could eat. Furthermore, Prime's never mentioning hunger or anything similar always left her curious about how he nourished himself.

Upon hearing Sara's question, Prime pondered on how to respond. He didn't fully understand how it worked himself, but he had a sense of how it happened.

(I'm not exactly sure how it works from a theoretical standpoint, but as a sort of parasite living inside you, I can feed on what you ingest. Additionally, I can taste the things you eat through your mouth)

Prime explained. Listening to Prime's words, Sara looked at the burger in her hand, appearing thoughtful. Various thoughts ran through Sara's mind at that moment.

"That's... quite peculiar"

Sara responded to Prime's answer, and Prime let out a joyful laugh, causing Sara to smile as she reflected on her own words.

(I suppose so)

Prime replied. Taking a deep breath, Sara returned her attention to the burger, savoring every bite while observing people strolling through the park. Among the happy families, a twinge of envy still lingered in her heart. However, she noticed that this feeling had diminished since she met Prime. This reflection made a laugh escape from Sara's lips.

"Anyway, let's head back to our apartment. Now that we've gotten rid of Drake, it's unlikely that more people will come after us. Besides, we ensured the complete destruction of the base, erasing its existence altogether"

Sara said. Expressing these words, Sara stood up and disposed of the burger bags in the trash near the bench. Then, she cast a final glance at the couple who had just passed with their child, drawing a brief smile on her face before starting to walk toward the apartment.

Naturally, even without uttering a word, Prime was aware of the thoughts and emotions permeating Sara. Faced with this, he vowed to protect her from now on with all the strength he possessed, determined to do everything in his power to bring happiness to her. For, just as they shared the bond between host and symbiote, they were now also a family.

Upon returning to the apartment, Sara took the initiative to restore order to the place, which, as she had predicted, was completely disorganized. The cleaning task was surprisingly quick, benefiting from Prime's ability to project up to twenty tentacles at once to rearrange the environment.

"Finally, it seems like we have a decent environment for human life... no offense, of course"

Sara said. Hearing Sara's words, Prime let out an animated laugh. He found her words amusing, considering that not being human anymore hardly affected him. Moreover, he now saw many more advantages in his new body, considering everything he could do.

(No problem, I've already gotten used to my new body, so I don't feel discomfort or anything like that. Besides, if you feel comfortable, so do I)

Prime responded. Nodding and displaying a small smile, Sara headed to the kitchen and started preparing coffee for herself. Although she didn't know if Prime liked coffee, she considered that, in theory, he appreciated what she liked. Therefore, she chose to make coffee as she always had until now.

While Sara was fixing the coffee, Prime observed the surroundings. His eyes suddenly focused on a newspaper on the table. Curious, Prime extended one of his tentacles to the newspaper, wrapping it before bringing it over to Sara.

Without the need to exchange a single word, Sara took the newspaper and started reading it. The first thing that surprised Prime was the year the newspaper was dated.

(2009? Although I can't remember much from my old life, I'm sure it was at least 2024. Is this strange? Did I somehow travel back in time?)

Several questions weighed on Prime's mind. Although Sara also sensed Prime's doubts, she couldn't do much about it. She was getting used to anything peculiar that might happen. Knowing that Prime was possibly someone from the future would just be one more of them. Additionally, there was another thing in the newspaper that caught Prime's attention.

(Doctor Bruce Banner, a genius in cellular biology, claims that the next step to cure diseases once considered incurable is in gamma radiation. 'The next tests are promising,' declared the scientist)

This specific article captured Prime's attention. Now that Drake, who had discovered him, was dead, Prime felt the need to seek help elsewhere. Although not strictly necessary, he still wanted to have some understanding of his origin and identity.

Before delving into thoughts about the future, there was something Prime had promised Sara earlier. He thought now would be the ideal time to fulfill that promise.

In a dark alley on the streets of New York, a man confronted three kids with a sinister expression.

"You didn't meet the quota again... I'll let it slide this time, but you know what will happen next if you fail, right?"

Upon hearing the man's words, the three kids exchanged glances, their eyes filled with fear, before nodding and fleeing the alley. Now alone, the man lit a cigarette, but a strange feeling made him turn his head repeatedly around.

"Is someone there?"

No response came to his question. Just when he thought he was hearing things, a red mass appeared before him, grabbing him by the throat.

"If you steal again, or harm anyone else in this city, we'll find you and rip off both your arms. Then, we'll eat your head, understood?"

The horrified man stared at the monster in front of him. His legs trembled, and his mind couldn't find a way out of the situation.

"But what are you?"

As he asked this question, half of the monster's face opened, revealing the human face of a girl with white hair and blue eyes.

"We, are Prime"

Saying these words, Prime looked at the man, reconsidering.

"Actually... I think I changed my mind"

Upon hearing this, the man could only tremble as he uttered his last words.

"Please"

That was the last word the man spoke before a mouth with rows of teeth swiftly approached his head.
