MHA: Living as a Mineta is hard

Chapter 330: Stand up!

When Mineta had just woken up, had a checkup, and also flirted with the daughter and the wife of Endeavour, Endeavour and Hawk were in their suits, ready to start the press, which everyone had been waiting for.

The panic hadn't disappeared until now. It was even worse, like someone who got a disease and infection yet left untreated. In the end, the disease and infection became worse as they were at the body of the person alive, slowly, painfully, excruciatingly, agonizingly, until nothing was left.

Still, not everyone was looking for the blame, and they still held some hope, a hope for someone to answer their doubt.

"Show some integrity."

"Promise you won't make any more mistakes!"

"We're worried."

"Assure us that we'll be safe."

"We're all barely hanging on the thread here!"

Those words echoed in many places.

The voice of those pitiful people was like the noise of a broken radio.

Yet, in this broken-like society, how could one remain sane?

With that said, Endeavour admitted the ugly truth of his family's past.

"It's the truth. There is nothing I can say that will mask the truth."

As he bowed his head, leaving everyone in a dumbfounded manner, he spoke about his family's past in complete detail.

"Whoa!"

"Their family is done for now, aren't they?"

"What a terrible story..."

"He was supposed to be on our side..."

"Please tell us you're lying... tell us you're lying!"

Almost everyone who could listen or watch the press couldn't believe what they heard. With the truth coming from Endeavour's mouth, there was no denying it, and this made them even more desperate since who could they believe?

More importantly, Mineta hadn't regained consciousness!

What if he was dying?

What if he passed away?

By then, who could stop Hokusai?

Whether it was the hydrogen bomb or the Gog and Magog, which rampaged on the entire country, everyone still had a lingering fear of that memory. That nightmare... was it really impossible to stop? Were their lives going to continue to be miserable till now? If a hero couldn't stop them, then who would save them?

By now, everyone has become even more desperate, and they just couldn't understand who they should believe and what they should do now.

With that said, Endeavour wasn't the only problem. In this press, there were three people, including Hawk and Best Jeanist, who also needed to talk about what was happening before.

Best Jeanist was hurt, and he was almost killed by Hawk.

Everyone knew that Hawk was a criminal, yet here he was, standing among them, talking calmly in the press.

"Jeanist faked his death so I could infiltrate the Paranormal Liberation Front, but the rest of the allegations cannot be debunked."

Hawk faced everyone as he exposed his family's history. "My father's criminal history and the death of the villain who tried to escape..." He bowed his head. "For hiding my connection with my father, I deeply apologize. As for the death of Bubaigawara... there was no other course of action I felt was appropriate at that moment... his duplication Quirk, if left unchecked, would have caused far more harm to society now than anything else. I wasn't able to avoid violence... once again, I deeply apologize."

"...."

The press sat dumbfounded there, unable to say a single word since they just didn't know what the right decision for one to make in this situation was.

Yet, suddenly, a single reported raised her hand. "Can I have another question?"

"Yes."

"During the Gog and Magog's rampage, my mother was severely injured. Just saying, "Everything was true. We're deeply sorry" isn't going to fix anything! Do you realize just how many people have lost their homes and lives just this week?! What right do you have to be careful stepping on it like this? The rampage was done by a villain! That's for sure! However, based on your face, it doesn't look like you recognize that it's due to your mistakes that things ended up like this!"

The reporter lashed out, feeling emotional about the damage caused to her family.

"Would it make up for what I would have done if I were crying in front of you instead?" Endeavour asked.

"Excuse me?!" The female reported exploded. "Of course it wouldn't, I am telling you, at least there is panic! Get rid of the villains!! That is... ah!"

The female reporter quickly realized.

"That's right. That is the only way someone like me can make up for it."

That was the only thing that Endeavour could do at the moment, especially since Mineta's condition was not known.

Yet, could it be done?

With Hokusai?

Could Endeavor stop this villain?

"What Endeavor said is correct."

Suddenly, a voice was heard from behind, and they saw the door of the press room was opened. They saw a familiar figure, and this was a figure that brought a shock. This was a figure they were hoping to see since he was the only one that could bring the peace that they longed for.

"Mineta Minoru-kun!"

"Eutass Kidd!"

"Are you okay?"

"Are you hurt?"

"Can you fight against Hokusai again?"

"Can everyone have peace like before?"

When Mineta appeared, it brought an impact that couldn't be contained. Everyone quickly asked their questions, ignoring Endeavour, Hawk, and Best Jeanist. At this moment, at this time, everyone, whether they were in this room, in front of the screen, or hearing from the radio, focused all of their attention, afraid to miss something. If possible, those who were from a distance, hoping that they could appear before him, begging him to help them since, besides him, they couldn't trust anyone.

Still, when they saw his figure, they stopped their voices since his body was so miserable. His body was covered in wounds, injuries, and even blood-stained on the floor, yet he walked forward straight toward the podium since he had something to say.

As he stood in front of everyone, whether Endeavour, Hawk, or Best Jeanist subconsciously gave him the stage.

"What are you doing here? Go back and rest," Endeavour scolded quietly. Even though this brat was hateful since Mineta often seduced his daughter, he didn't want him to face this pressure. Everyone was in a panic, and as of now, they sought answers, blame, and everything to give them comfort and peace.

When Endeavour was in the 2nd position, he didn't understand this, but when he stood at the top, he understood how heavy this responsibility was.

Yet Mineta ignored Endeavour.

When Mineta stood on stage, everyone, whether they were the press, villains, citizens, heroes, and many others' attention were on him.

"As everyone has seen and experienced, right now, I can say that our country is in a crisis. Many people lose their homes and lives, and we can't even live in peace. Many of you are scared and even in doubt about the future, but while I know it is unreasonable, I hope that all of you become strong.

"Please endure this for a moment, and don't let the fear of the present control you. Don't let the villains, Shigaraki, All-For-One, or even Hokusai, make you give up on the future.

"If our will falls apart now, we will be destroyed, and we will return to the chaotic age where the evils run amok. When that happens, our parents, children, and family will live in misery even in the future."

No one said anything, and they were staring at his figure like he was their Messiah.

"In order not to lose our peace, in order not to let the sadness of this nightmare repeated once again, in order we can face this world with a smile again...

"Don't let yourselves succumb to fear!"

Mineta raised his voice as he raised his fist.

"In order to protect our society, family, and also peace... Stand up, everyone!"

"AAAAAHHHHH!"

All of them roared as they felt their blood was hot like magma.

As he faced all of them, he thought that the last battle was about to start soon and it was time for him to become the real god.

'God...'

He didn't expect that he had come this far, but as he clenched his fists, he thought that this was a good thing since, by then, this world would become the perfect world that he envisioned.
