The changing room was a simple square, its walls lined with lockers that encircled a bench running all the way around, leaving only an opening for the entrance. The air was filled with a mix of anticipation and rowdiness, typical for a group of first-year boys preparing for their first hero training session.

At the center of the room stood Mineta and Ida, both half-dressed in their boxers, with only their school shirts clinging to their shoulders. Their argument had already escalated into a full-blown spectacle.

"Aw, don't be scaredy-cats! The girls' changing room is right next door!" Mineta yelled, practically drooling as he gestured wildly.

"I told you, that is not ethical in the slightest!" Ida retorted, his booming voice filled with righteous indignation. He punctuated his words with sharp, aggressive movements, chopping the air with the flat of his hand. "We must act according to the conduct that the best Hero Course in the country expects of us!"

"Aw, don't be such a buzzkill!" Mineta protested, his tone growing more irritated.

"I said NO!" Ida snapped, his glasses gleaming as he cut the air more vehemently.

Kaminari, leaning against a locker with an easy grin, decided to chime in. "Give it a rest, dude. I'm sure a little peek wouldn't be too bad," he said, giving Mineta a thumbs-up.

The comment only fanned the flames of Ida's outrage. He spun toward Kaminari, pointing an accusatory finger. "Stop all this perverted talk at once! You are tarnishing the honor of the Hero Course with such vulgar behavior!"

In the corner, Midoriya stood facing the wall, his back to the commotion. He glanced over his shoulder from time to time, his face a mixture of embarrassment and secondhand discomfort.

'Must be an old habit…' Shiro thought, his gaze flicking briefly to Midoriya as he stepped into the room.

Midoriya, glancing back once more, locked eyes with Shiro. His reaction was immediate. "Y-You're that guy!" he blurted out, loud enough to catch the attention of everyone in the room.

The chatter came to an abrupt halt as heads turned toward Shiro, who now stood in the entrance. He blinked, momentarily taken aback by the sudden shift in attention. 'Huh?' he thought, feeling slightly awkward under the weight of so many stares.

Bakugo, who had been lacing up his gym shoes, glanced up briefly. His sharp gaze lingered on Shiro for a second before he snorted dismissively. "Tch. Just another bug," he muttered before returning to tying his shoes, his interest already lost.

Ida, still half-dressed in his boxers and school shirt, marched up to Shiro with his usual military precision. Extending a firm hand, he said, "Greetings! I am Tenya Ida! It's a pleasure to meet a fellow hero-in-training. May I have your name?"

Shiro blinked at the overly formal introduction, momentarily caught off guard. 'It somehow feels like the fourth wall was broken,' he mused before shaking Ida's hand. "Uh, Shiro. Nice to meet you too."

Ida nodded enthusiastically, his tone as rigid as ever. "Shiro! An excellent name. I look forward to working with you in upholding the virtues of heroism and integrity!"

Before Shiro could respond, Mineta's voice rang out from the center of the room. "Why did you take so long to get in here? Don't tell me you went to watch the girls without me?!" His tone was a mix of accusation and desperate hope, his expression lighting up at the thought.

Ida spun around, his eyes blazing with righteous fury. "Mineta! That kind of behavior is unacceptable! You are bringing shame to the Hero Course with your disgraceful thoughts!" he barked, waving his arms in exaggerated gestures as he berated the smaller boy.

Shiro chuckled softly, scratching his cheek as he watched the scene unfold. Deciding to avoid the chaos, he moved toward Midoriya, who still stood awkwardly in the corner.

As Shiro began changing into his gym clothes, Midoriya glanced at him nervously. "So, um, you and Uraraka… are you two close?" he asked hesitantly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Shiro paused mid-change, glancing at Midoriya. After a moment, he shrugged. "We've been friends since elementary school," he said simply, not thinking much of the question.

Midoriya's face brightened with a small smile. "I see. She vouched for me during the entrance exam, you know. I really appreciated it."

Shiro nodded, a faint smile of his own tugging at his lips. "Yeah, I heard about it. That's just the type of person she is," he said.

Before their conversation could continue, the door to the changing room burst open. Aizawa stepped in, his tired eyes sweeping over the group of boys. "What are you all still doing here?" he asked sharply. "Quit wasting time and get outside."

The room froze for a moment before erupting into a flurry of movement. Students scrambled to finish dressing and head out the door. Shiro quickly finished changing and followed the rest of the boys outside, where the girls were already waiting.

Spotting Uraraka, Shiro walked over and stood next to her. "Why did you guys take so long?" she asked, whispering so Aizawa wouldn't hear.

Thinking back to the scene in the changing room, Shiro decided it was better to spare her the details. "The guys were just messing around," he replied simply, keeping his eyes forward.

Aizawa cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention. "Now that everyone's finally here," he began, his voice sharp, "I'll explain the nature of this exercise. You all have your own unique quirks, so today we'll be conducting a quirk assessment test to see what you're capable of."

Shiro's mind immediately went to strategy. 'My Titan form is perfect for strength and speed tests, but agility exercises like the side-to-side step test will be a challenge. And if I run at full speed or use my strength too carelessly, I'll destroy the equipment. This'll be tricky…'

His thoughts were interrupted by Uraraka's voice. "What about the entrance ceremony? Or guidance sessions?" she asked, her tone laced with confusion.

"There's no time to waste on that stuff," Aizawa replied flatly. "UA has a freestyle education system, so we teachers can teach as we see fit."

"He doesn't really sound like much of a teacher, does he?" Kaminari muttered, scratching his cheek and gesturing discreetly toward Aizawa.

"You're not wrong for once," Ida said, adjusting his glasses. "His methods are unconventional, but UA is a respected institution. We must trust its approach."

Aizawa turned toward the murmuring group, his sharp gaze silencing them instantly. "You've all done no-quirks-allowed gym tests in middle school, haven't you? Those tests prohibit quirk use to calculate averages. Here, that restriction doesn't exist."

Turning to Bakugo, he asked, "Bakugo, how far could you throw a softball in middle school?"

Bakugo, caught off guard by the sudden question, replied, "Sixty-seven meters."

Aizawa nodded. "Good. Now try again, but this time, use your quirk. Do whatever you need to do, but don't leave the circle."

A dangerous grin spread across Bakugo's face. "Awesome," he muttered, stepping forward. Taking the traditional pitching stance, he leaned forward and hurled the ball, propelling it with an explosive blast.

"Die!" Bakugo yelled as the ball soared into the distance, his explosion kicking up a burst of wind and dust.

Shiro's hair blew back from the force as he watched the ball disappear. 'Whoa…'

"That's incredible…" Uraraka whispered, her wide eyes fixed on the spot where the ball had vanished.

The students buzzed with excitement, but Aizawa's next words brought the energy to a halt. "You kids are hoping to become heroes, right? Do you think it'll be all fun and games?" His tone was cold, his demeanor intense.

'He's right,' Shiro thought, his expression growing serious. 'What's to come is beyond what they can imagine… Even beyond what Aizawa could predict.'

Aizawa's eyes narrowed as he looked up at the group. "The one with the lowest average score will be judged hopeless and expelled."

"What?!" the students exclaimed in unison, panic spreading through the group.

"That's right. Your fate is in our hands," Aizawa declared, a glint of challenge in his gaze. "Welcome. This is the first trial of the first day."

The students' determination solidified, their expressions hardening. Shiro glanced at Uraraka, who stood with her fists clenched, her face a mix of unease and resolve.

'Looks like she's ready to give it her all,' Shiro thought, clenching his own fists in solidarity.
