Chapter 13: Chapter 013 Endeavor's Plan
"Ha!"
A wave of cold air shot out from Todoroki Shoto's hand, heading straight for Ezaki Kitazawa.
Ezaki Kitazawa quickly jumped and returned to the regular track.
The Vines that formed the track were instantly frozen.
"crack, crack!"
Then, the frozen Vines track shattered and collapsed.
The three of them dodged while continuing forward.
"No wonder he's No. 2's son. His strength is no joke," Ezaki Kitazawa muttered.
"Wow, I didn't expect Ezaki Kitazawa to be one of my biggest competitors," Yoarashi Inasa said excitedly.
At first, he thought Todoroki Shoto would be his biggest competitor, but now his gut feeling told him that the person in front of him, who seemed unimportant, might actually be his toughest opponent.
"Hmphh" Ezaki Kitazawa casually replied.
As soon as Ezaki Kitazawa finished speaking, the ground directly froze.
Clearly, Todoroki Shoto had tried to trap them while Ezaki Kitazawa and Yoarashi Inasa were talking, hoping to create some distance.
However, what they didn't expect was that both Ezaki Kitazawa and Yoarashi Inasa reacted very quickly.
Yoarashi Inasa immediately counterattacked, waving his hand, and a strong air current appeared on the track, quickly forming a tornado.
Meanwhile, Todoroki Shoto created a thick ice wall to block their path.
As for Ezaki Kitazawa, seeing the two of them starting to fight, he accelerated and ran forward.
However, as soon as they saw Ezaki Kitazawa ahead of them, they immediately stopped and instead started to work together to attack him. It wasn't really aimed at anyone in particular—whoever was in the lead would be the target.
In an instant, all sorts of ice chunks and Vines were swept into the air by the tornado, with even innocent students running behind being caught in the chaos.
"These three guys!"
"These three jerks are just too annoying. What is this even?"
"Right? They're just here to cause trouble. Now, the students behind don't even need to bother anyone—they're just trying to dodge their ice and Vines, it's exhausting."
"This has to be a foul, right? One of those big ice chunks knocked a female student out cold."
Suddenly, someone said:
"Is that true? Did she die?"
"No way it was that powerful. If it were, they should've stopped the competition."
"Anyway, these three are just terrible!"
······
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
Yaoyorozu Momo swung the weapons she created with her Quirk, constantly slashing at the incoming ice chunks and Vines.
She was exhausted, and most of her fatigue came from the chaos caused by Ezaki Kitazawa and the others.
"These guys... are cheating!" Yaoyorozu Momo muttered.
······
"Ryukyu, this is really exciting!" The assistant was getting more and more into it.
"Those three must be the top of the top among these elites, but both Endeavor's son and Ezaki Kitazawa still have a Quirk they haven't used. If they did, it would probably be even more impressive," Ryukyu said slowly.
"Ezaki Kitazawa's fire? Endeavor's son seems to also have fire," the assistant said.
"Yeah! But I don't think we'll see that moment," Ryukyu replied.
"Why?"
"Didn't you notice? Neither Ezaki Kitazawa nor Endeavor's son are planning to use their fire Quirks."
"I see..."
····
After a long time!
Present Mic's voice rang out again as Ezaki Kitazawa and the others reached the finish line, almost at the same time.
Yoarashi Inasa was first.
Ezaki Kitazawa was second.
Todoroki Shoto was third.
What surprised Ezaki Kitazawa was that Yaoyorozu Momo, using her Quirk, actually took fourth place.
After this event ended, they rested for ten minutes before continuing to the next event. Two hours later, all the events were completed.
What was unexpected was that Ezaki Kitazawa's total score was exactly the same as Todoroki Shoto's, while Yoarashi Inasa was just one point behind, tying for second place.
"This seems a bit tricky. This has never happened before, having the same score," Aizawa Shouta said in a low voice.
"Yeah, it's definitely a surprise! Should we have two first-place winners, or... what do you think?" the principal asked Aizawa Shouta for his opinion.
"You can decide," Aizawa Shouta replied.
"I have an idea!"
Suddenly, Endeavor, who had been standing nearby, spoke up.
The principal and Aizawa Shouta turned to look at him.
"What idea?"
"It's simple. Let the two of them have a 1V1 match. The winner gets first place, the loser gets second. That solves the problem, right?" Endeavor said calmly.
This was unexpected for him as well, but the suggestion he made likely had his own motives. He probably just wanted everyone to see the difference between someone raised by ordinary parents and someone raised by him.
