Mha: Sand Sand Fruit

Chapter 19: Chapter 18 All Might's Apprentice

Just as Akira was preparing his next attack, Okada Choshiro slammed his fist into the ground with a deafening roar.

*Crack! Crack!*

The surrounding floor began to collapse, and the entire 20th floor crumbled. Both Akira and Okada plummeted downward amidst the debris.

"Does this guy want to die along with me?" Akira thought, his eyes narrowing as he quickly assessed the situation.

Mid-fall, Akira controlled Shakai to transform its massive sand hammer into a hook. The hook latched onto the edge of the 19th floor, slowing their descent.

However, the combined weight of Shakai and the impact of the fall proved too much. The hook tore through the structure, and they didn't stop until crashing onto the 15th floor.

Standing amidst the dust and cracked concrete, Akira sighed. "This building isn't going to last much longer..."

Suddenly, Okada Choshiro's voice boomed.

"Hypergravity Control!"

Akira felt an immense pressure slam down on his body, forcing him to fall off Shakai.

*Whoosh!*

As he plummeted toward the ground, Akira frowned and quickly transformed his body into sand, dispersing into a cloud of particles.

Okada Choshiro hit the ground first with a thunderous crash, sending up a massive cloud of smoke and dust. Moments later, sand rained down, reforming into Akira.

Shakai, still clinging to the wall, had vanished with the destruction.

Through the settling dust, heavy footsteps echoed. A figure emerged, battered but upright—Okada Choshiro.

"You're still standing?" Akira said, his voice cold. "I have to admit, you really put everything into that last move. If I'm not mistaken, you increased your own weight by nearly a ton to crush me."

Okada's body swayed, but his glare remained defiant.

"It's a risky move," Akira continued. "A body that isn't built for that kind of weight doesn't handle a fall from the 20th floor very well."

His assessment was spot on. Okada's reckless tactic had left him limp, lying in a deep pit and barely able to move.

With a final glance, Akira turned away. "The pros will handle you when they arrive."

Just as he was about to leave, two figures dropped in front of him—Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady, two rising stars among the Pro Heroes.

"Is this guy a wanted criminal?" Mt. Lady asked, her gaze shifting to Akira.

Kamui Woods shook his head. "I don't know. I've never seen him before, but you saw it too—he turned into sand in midair."

"That's not something a civilian could pull off," Mt. Lady added, her expression cautious.

"Who are you?" she asked, her voice stern. "A Pro Hero? Or are you part of the group responsible for this attack?"

Akira froze for a moment. He could tell they were suspicious of him.

"I... I was just passing by," Akira replied nonchalantly.

"Don't lie!" Kamui Woods said sharply. "We saw you fall along with that guy. You're clearly involved."

Akira frowned, muttering under his breath. *Of course they haven't heard of me. My reputation isn't exactly stellar yet.*

Before the situation could escalate, a familiar voice broke the tension.

"He's not part of the criminals."

Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady turned, their eyes widening in recognition.

"All Might?"

The Number One Hero walked toward them, placing a hand on Akira's shoulder. Despite his injuries, he smiled warmly.

"He's my apprentice," All Might said firmly.

Akira blinked in surprise but quickly understood the ruse.

"Yes!" he chimed in. "I'm All Might's apprentice, Kitagawa Akira!"

The two heroes exchanged surprised looks.

"All Might has an apprentice?" Kamui Woods asked, astonished.

"He was helping me deal with these criminals," All Might explained. "If there's nothing else, we'll be leaving now."

"Wait," Kamui Woods interjected. "Who's the guy lying back there? The one who fell with him?"

"He's a wanted criminal," Akira replied succinctly. Without further explanation, he followed All Might away from the scene.

---

As the two left, Kamui Woods glanced at Mt. Lady.

"All Might's apprentice, huh? He certainly has a commanding presence."

"Not to mention, he's strong," Mt. Lady added. "He might even be All Might's successor."

Kamui Woods nodded, turning his attention to the pit where Okada Choshiro lay unconscious.

"He's a known criminal," Kamui Woods confirmed.

"Did that Akira guy take him down alone?" Mt. Lady asked.

"How should I know?" Kamui Woods replied.

---

Meanwhile, news of All Might's "apprentice" began spreading online, posted by a bystander who had overheard the claim.

Unbeknownst to Akira, the attention on him was growing rapidly.

After parting ways with All Might, Akira returned home. His plans to visit Miyagawa Shenben to test equipment were postponed.

Not long after he got back, his phone buzzed.

*Ding ding ding!*

"Hello?" Akira answered. "Dad? What's up?"
