Chapter 77- Professor Kei~1!
The world was thrown into mayhem after the world government announced the existence of the other worlds. There are not only humans which exist out there but several other creatures that are more prominent and strong than humanity in every way.
Sure, it was the biggest news to publish up until now and since it affected the whole planet, no place remained quiet except for those foolish ones who believed in their might and continued to live their daily life like the proof of otherworlds which made their appearance some months ago was just a prank or something.
All the major countries were taking needful measures and recruiting as many soldiers as they could to create a shield for those who couldn't protect themselves.
The need for awakeners to hide in shadows was no longer in commission, thus giving them a green flag to come forward and help humanity to face the approaching danger. Since mana-carrying entities were the most crucial factors for what they had to face inevitably, the government didn't delay releasing the prohibition they had on the special humans.
Many institutions are arranged to turn normal people into elite soldiers since at times of upcoming catastrophe they would work as the oasis one seeks in the scorching desert. They would be available to do the jobs which the awakeners would neglect or would be unable to perform.
As for the mana wielder then special institutions where they would be trained by elite awakeners were organized. It was given that the people who wield the magical essence would be an out subject of the non-awakeners in most basic aspects, so some special teachers and instructors were hired on an emergency basis to teach young ones.
Amongst those, the academy which was running in the heart of Japan, Tokyo was where Ryuuta along with his three teammates was currently admitted.
Prestigious Academy of Heroes. Pretty generic name but with the urgency the world found itself in, it was given they would not utilize their time on deciding such trivial things, like the name of the school.
All the specially organized institutions were fully sponsored by the government and some high-asset-holding businessmen and traders. However, the administration of awakeners was done by the union government. It was a cheeky move of the higher-ups to have all the elites in their clutches so that in the catastrophic future they could get their asses saved first.
People have hope that if the war breaks out...which surely would...humanity once again could protect itself and stand above all in the long race.
But little did they think that being on the top of the food chain would always remain a fantasy that they would never be able to achieve, however hard they try.

"Man...these theoretical classes suck..."
With a sigh, a young teenage boy with short brownish hair, and a strong build which despite being covered under the uniform of the academy, could be counted as muscle packed and well-built for someone of his age, spoke up before leaning his head on the desk.
"Isn't it? Aw...how aligned our thought process is~"
Chimed in was Ryuuta's deskmate Megumi Sayaka. Her hair unlike before has grown and now reaches her butt length. She usually ties them in twin tails but at times of combat, she generally folds her blond hair in a bun for unrestrained movements.
She still does the idol job but now she was focused on not caring for people to do their best in order to become powerful and be prepared for what they have to come across in the future.
"I think no one actually wants to get theory classes knowing what danger awaits us. But knowing our strengths and weaknesses is also a part of becoming a better version of oneself."
Replied the short red-haired, Hana Sayuri who was sitting behind the duo with one hand continuously compressing and releasing a hand grip that was specially built to handle her strength and provide a challenge even to Hana who easily could lift three hundred kilograms with one hand.
Unlike in the past, her skin tone had gone down a bit. Given how she hates applying fancy skin products, the sun did a great job tanning her skin and providing a charm which made many in the school beg Hana to get stepped on. Not to talk about her natural long muscle-packed legs which made her look like a dominatrix, making people around her call their mommy or something.
"Hana is right. And also, I have heard that the new teacher is going to be a specially recruited faculty who ranked 'S' in his first appraisal."
Hearing the raven-haired ojou, Aoi Nakamura's words everyone raised their brows since getting ranked the highest grade in the first evaluation was pretty rare. Or to say, some finger-countable people attained the top rank and now are placed at greater heights among the masses.
For someone of that caliber, joining to teach at the academy was pretty much surprising already.
**Click**
The door of the classroom was clicked open before a tall devilishly handsome young man in his twenties walked inside with almost inaudible footsteps. Even his presence was so thin that if not for walking in front the students might not have been able to detect him.
Since it was rumored that the teacher was an 'S' rank, the first thing most of the students did was to use their skill 'Observe' to see the legibility of the rumor. But what they sensed in return was...nothing.
There was no mana presence in the man, at all. But no one dared to point at that since any sane person knows that high-rankers have a very balanced control over their mana. The amount they want to flaunt or shroud, high rankers pretty much have control over it like mana is a part of their body.
Almost everyone dropped the thought to measure the new professor, but Aoi had a frown still contouring her beautiful features. She had a very well-trained observer skill and since she has met an 'S' rank before, she knows that they couldn't hide all their mana from her even though she was just C-rank.
It was like hiding a big elephant inside a fridge. How much you try, some of the essences would definitely leak out. But this man...
Indeed, a special case.
The new professor put his book on the teacher's desk before his ruby-red eyes scanned through the class and rested just for a moment on Ryuuta which the latter noticed as well.
For some reason, Ryuuta was also staring at the man intently. Not with any suspicion or anything but rather in self-doubt since this new teacher seemed awfully familiar to someone he was eagerly searching for the past few months.
It might just be his imagination but the man standing on the podium somehow resembled Kei which made Ryuuta doubt whether his bastard friend had some long-lost brother or some sort. Ryuuta decided to shrug off his thoughts since it was nigh impossible for his lazy-ass friend to actually take up a job as a professor even if he awakens S-rank.
But little did the boy think, how wrong he was.
"Good morning class. I will be teaching you the subject related to mana efficiency and as for an introduction then you can call me... Kei."
