Chapter 69
Inside a luxury cruise ship.
Bo Sijue and the other three enjoyed their dinner quietly, but He Zheng suddenly hurried in from outside to the man at the main seat with a solemn expression, leaning over to whisper.
After he raised his head, the look on the man’s face gradually turned gloomy.
He stood up suddenly and looked at He Zheng, a sharp cold light flashing in his dark pupils, his tone full of seriousness and severity.
“You stay here and keep an eye on them. Don’t let them run around. I’ll go out and see who they are.”
“Yes.”
Bai Junluo, who was at the dining table, watched the man leave with a cold air, and his sapphire-like pupils filled with doubt.
He turned his eyes to He Zheng, who was left behind, and asked him puzzledly, “He Zheng, Bo Sijue hasn’t finished his meal yet; why did he go out?”
He Zheng looked at the unaware Bai Junluo in front of him, rolled his dark eyes, and lied, “Young Master Bai, Mr. Bo has some things to deal with, so you should stay with the third young master for a while.”
“Is that so? Why are you so anxious?”
Bai Junluo put down the chopsticks in his hands angrily, his appetite suddenly gone. He didn’t know why, but he always felt that something bad would happen soon.
Compared to the easily deceived Bai Junluo, Bo Zhijin realized something was wrong when he saw their expressions worsen.
“He Zheng, come here!”
He waved to He Zheng beside him, motioning for him to approach.
“What’s wrong, third young master?”
He Zheng walked up to the man, a guilty expression unconsciously crossing his face; he had never been good at deceiving people.
“Lean a little closer and lower your head.”
Just like that, the two of them leaned together and spoke quietly, which made Bai Junluo opposite them extremely curious.
What exactly were the two talking about? Why didn’t they tell him?
“He Zheng, tell me honestly, is there something going on outside?”
“Third young master, this is beyond your control. You’d better stay here with Young Master Bai.”
“He Zheng, please stop being so secretive and tell me quickly.”
Bo Zhijin’s face was stained with anxiety, and he couldn’t help but stamp his feet in distress.
Seeing his excited look, He Zheng felt startled, fearing that Bai Junluo would hear him.
So, he leaned closer to Bo Zhijin’s ear and informed him of the current situation outside.
“Third young master, it’s really dangerous outside. Just stay here with Young Master Bai.”
He Zheng patted the young man on the shoulder with a serious look on his face.
Bo Zhijin frowned tightly, and his dark pupils were tinged with worry.
“Cousin won’t encounter any danger outside, right?”
“Don’t worry, this is international waters, and as long as there are no highly explosive bombs, Mr. Bo will be fine. By the way, you must not tell Young Master Bai about this; otherwise…”
“Ah Jin, He Zheng, what on earth are you talking about? Why can’t you let me know?”
Bai Junluo suddenly jumped out from behind and put his head between the two of them.
“No, it’s nothing.”
The two of them were startled by him and took a few steps back, raising their hands to shake him off.
“Really?”
Seeing their strange behaviour, Bai Junluo couldn’t help but frown, his dazzling sapphire pupils filled with suspicion.
The two of them felt the intensity of his gaze, cold sweat breaking out on their foreheads as they nodded with guilty expressions.
Bai Junluo curled his lips, becoming more convinced of his inner thoughts.
What were Ah Jin and the others hiding from him?
Just as he was thinking, a sudden loud noise erupted outside, and then the entire cruise ship shook violently.
