My Enigmatic Life

      I told everyone about what happened, and explained that next week Tuesday is when we're supposed to appear again. Now, Akane, Akai and I are riding the lift up to the seventh floor.

"I've never had a part-time job before.", Akai muses, "I wonder what it'll be like.."

"Well, it's not going to be like working in at the local super-market, I can tell you that.", I mutter darkly.

"Yeah, no kidding."

Akai smiles wryly at my words, maybe I shouldn't have been so blunt.

"Are you sure that you should've accepted this, Daisuke-nii?"

Akane seems a little worried, and I can understand why.

"Well, I had to. There's really no other choice."

The doors to the lift open to reveal Mr.Zinushi, who seemingly was waiting for the lift himself.

"Good afternoon, Mr.Zinushi."

The three of us greet him in unison. Mr.Zinushi is the owner of this apartment building. He's an older gentleman with a surprisingly easy-going air about him.

"Ah, hello, you young folk. It's good to see you all in good spirits. Colen-shounen, I was hoping that I would see you."

"Me, sir?"

"That's right. I've left something for you in your flat. Now, if you'll excuse me, this old man needs to get some rest."

We make a path for Mr.Zinushi to walk through, and he enters the lift and bows to us as the doors close.

"Left something? Like what?", Akai asks quizzically.

"Hopefully a pipe-bom-ow, ow, I'm joking, damn it."

Akane starts to pinch my elbow before I could finish. Akai laughs at our banter, and I get Akane to stop before we walk up to my door and open it.

"Suprise, Aniki!"

Yoko leaps into my arms and nearly knocks me on my bum. What's she doing here?

"Yoko? What's going on?"

She smiles broadly at me, obviously bursting to spread the news.

"From now on I'll be living in here with you! Isn't that great?"

Yoko's going to be living with me? Before I can process my surprise-

"......Haa?"

A cold, empty voice sounds behind me. Slowly, I turn to see Akane giving Yoko deep, hollow-eyed glare. Ah.....

"Yoko-chan, what's this about?"

Sensing what's to come, Akai picks up his younger sister and tosses her over her over his shoulder like a sack. Good move, mate.

"I think we should leave, haha... We'll see you two later. Have a good time un-packing."

Akane's parting words were just as friendly.

"YOKO-CHAN! I PROMISE YOU THAT IF YOU TRY ANYTHING LEWD WITH DAISUKE-NII, I AM GOING HURT YOU, DO YOU HEAR ME?!?! DON'T YOU DARE TRY IT-"

"She's excited, isn't she?", Yoko whispers in my ear.

I'm really looking forward to this being apart of my daily life. Surely, this won't at all be troublesome for me.
