ALL NOVEL 18 – Waiting for Edel
~Stella’s POV~
I, Stella, am going with my sister on the first date of my life. It's not like I have an illicit love for Edel-sama, however, buying clothes for both of us can only be described as a date.
She had some work to do, so me and Sasha agreed to wait around the fountain plaza later.
“Relax, sis. Edel is going to come soon.”
“I know but… I’m just restless. It’s like I feel true happiness for the first time in my life. I don’t know how to react to these feelings.”
I feel my face somewhat heating up, surely it's because I’m not wearing a hat under this bright and clear sky.
“We might have come too fast.”
I looked up in sky to find, the sun has still not crossed the meridians, at the time the sound of bell informing the noon time rang out, which led me to think that we still have near an hour to wait.
Thinking logically, it would be best to kill time while sitting on a bench under the shade of a tree, however for some reason, my legs are not able to move from the meeting place, as if they have been petrified.
Then after some minutes elapsed, suddenly, from the crowd of people passing by me, two people headed towards us.
Both of them are male, their outward appearance resembling that of nobles.
“Hey you, hi there. You’re awfully cute. Are you lost, little girls?”
Smiling, one male stands in my way and springs up a conversation sounding too over-familiar. I can’t see them, but I’m used to Sasha giving me subtle signals to form a picture. Her tail touching mine in various stroke patterns is a code. That’s why I could tell these are nobles.
Both of them have quite a bit of height. Judging from their stature they might also have the power to swing a heavy weighted long sword.
But, Edel-sama is more attractive than them.
“No. We’re fine.”
This is, without a doubt, that picking up on girls' thing, right?
“I see. After all you are way too cute, and even have elegance. Are you sure you’re mere kids? Aren’t you two some princesses disguised in rags just so you don’t attract attention?”
This is definitely sexual harassment.
“If it's fine with you we can guide you. We're quite informed about this area."
“Aaa. This is so tiresome. Can you two just guide yourselves into disappearing?” (Sasha)
~Sasha’s POV~
My name is Sasha and together with my sister we are waiting for Edel. This is definitely a date scenario. I’m excited to buy new shoes and clothes with my sister. And I bet Edel dreams about us right now. Oh, what if Edel confesses her love for me? But she’s just a big tsundere… lucky for me I know how to read through the lines.
Unfortunately my trail of happy thoughts was cut short as I had to protect my sister from these strangers. Are they trying to hit on us?
“Aaa. This is so tiresome. Can you two just guide yourselves into disappearing?” (Sasha)
The frank me, just said everything in my mind upright.
“Ah, sorry. I can understand how this looks like. You have to be cautious, how about we do self-introductions first, I am—-”
However, it looks like this male punk has got the brain of the level of a snail, which cannot understand the words or feelings of people.
What don’t you get, buddy? We only long to see Edel. Your bothering us, so get out of our faces.
“—-Right, after hearing our names, you must've guessed it, yes we're nobles, so we can take care of you in more ways than one.”
“Well, talking here while standing is somewhat odd, how about we go over there to the—-”
As if trying to grab my body starting from my shoulder, the hand of blondie stretched out rudely. And the other guy was after sis. Grrr! The hand of a man… after Phobos… I never want to feel the touch of a man ever again. These perverts are into little kids that much?
“Filthy and disgusting, can you please not touch us so casually?”
I bit his hand.
“Ow—-Oi Oi, isn't that reaction too rude and wrong?”
“Argh, you actually did it young lady, for such a rude act towards a noble, you can be executed in the worst case.”
Although they didn't yell like some hoodlum, but in the words of the two, there was surely anger inside.
'Execution in the worst case', around the time he said those words, their filthy ulterior motives were all exposed.
“Well, if you obediently admit your fault we won't make it a big issue, you just need to apologize for 'one night', that's all.”
Seems like they don't know what they're doing. Normally if we still had our collars they wouldn’t even look our way. Freaking pedos. But they’re making the biggest mistake of their lives.
“Listen guys, if you’re willing to disappear, we promise no harm will come to you.”
“Ah, I see, if you are going to be in that attitude, then we too—-”
They both start releasing dangerous air. However…
“Achoo! What the hell? Is it suddenly getting cold?”

Yare yare. There sure are many freaks in this world. I arrived at the meeting place only to find two random idiots trying to have their way with a pair of kids. The reason why I asked them to meet later was because I tried figuring out the specs of the mystic eyes skill I acquired. Long story short… it’s magic nullification. These magic eyes can seemingly act automatically to "destroy" powers that attempt to affect me, making it the ultimate anti-magic. However it will require testing how far can it go, since the angel couldn’t cancel out my Nether flames.
Anyway, that aside, what the hell is up with society in this world? It’s totally fucked up. Maybe I shouldn’t have let the girls out of my sight after all. Well, let’s clean this mess.
*BONK!*
I quietly approached them, grabbed their heads and bashed them together. They fainted like a pair of goats and fell down like bricks.
“Are you two alright?”
“Yes! No harm done!” (Sasha)
“Thank you very much for your assistance, Edel-sama. We’re sorry for causing trouble.”
“Don’t sweat it, girls.”
It’s not like it’s their fault to begin with. Leaving aside the fact that they are really annoying… they are really cute at the same time. I feel like wanting to pet them over and over.
It’s something I couldn’t do back in Japan. If you would try to randomly pat a child you would immediately get the “moshi moshi keisatsu desu ka?” treatment. Try patting a teenage girl and you’ll get a big slap or worse, a punch straight in the head for messing their hair. I don’t know why it’s such a big deal. Head pats are justice. In the end I had to settle for patting my neighbor's pet cat.
“Anyway, let’s get going now. We’re heading towards a clothes shop. I can’t have you looking like that anymore. Afterwards, we’re out of this city. I can’t stay here longer. It would be too troublesome. So follow me.”
“Ooo! So rough, like a predator!” (Sasha)
“Coming, Edel-sama!” (Stella)
Seriously, though, I really need to drill some discipline and common sense into these girls. They’re too… how should I put it? All over the place.
