ALL NOVEL 31 – Shadows and Q&A session part 2
“I can’t sense Vanamir’s presence anymore. So… he failed.”
Standing above a steep cliff where one can overlook a small human village, was a young girl who was supposed to be in that village, Simone. However, despite looking like a human, her true appearance was that of a demon.
She pleasantly watched the deserted village and showed a smile that was similar to the one when you hand over candy to a child.
She was listening to the thoughts of a person clad in a pitch black robe. His voice depicted that he was a male. But it was impossible to notice anything else from this man.
“Are you perhaps angry, master?”
“Not at all. How should I put it? Although there was only a 18% chance that Vanamir would fail, it was within my calculations.”
“The Spirit Queen must be strong.”
“I wonder about that. Was it the queen that killed Vanamir? Or someone else? Hahaha.”
“It will be tough to have a second chance at her.”
“True. That trick we used to penetrate the barrier is a one time thing. There would be a way for me to force myself in, but I don’t want to use that method. Nevertheless, if I can’t get in, I just have to figure a way to get her out. Changing the subject, now, how is the village doing?”

The man covered in a pitch black robe was standing there. Simone wanted to give him a hug, however she went right through him as if he were a ghost. That was a projection and only his thoughts existed in this place.
“I’m sorry for not being able to praise you personally. But that was a really magnificent work you’ve done for me.”
“Oh please…… this is natural if it is for you, Master.”
Simone conversed with him with a face full of smiles. As if she was a maiden in love……
“But weren't you in the middle of doing a mass area summon? Your crow specifically delivered this information to me. Aren’t you supposed to be completely out of magic power?”
“Ehehe…… That’s because I had an unexpected present, you know.”
“So that’s how it is…… the highest grade potion, its effect is large restoration to physical strength and magic power.”
Although he didn’t hand it personally. A familiar placed the tube in Simone’s hand.
“You wanted to cure your sister’s illness, didn’t you? This will do the trick.”

The man, who made quite a dangerous remark, gazes at the village which is ruled by the silence spreading from below the cliff. To be more exact…… he was looking at it like a wolf who just set his eyes on a flock of sheep.
“I will achieve peace one day even if it means I have to devour everything. Just you wait. I will slaughter all the humans, demons and beastmen who summoned the original Hero and put an end to the glorious dynasty of the Great Ones……! The day when the Gods will shake in fear will be upon us, soon. Your true wish will also be granted then, Simone, so just wait a little longer, ok? Legion, will reward you.”
“I will wait as long as necessary for you, master.”
When he judged that he spoke the words resembling his determination, The man’s body started to disappear. And then Simone, beside him dashed out of that place.
Nobody had noticed that anybody had been at that place.

The 2nd day of the Q&A session came. This time I would finally find out the story about the war. But before moving to the main course there was one 'appetizer' I wanted to get out of the way.
"Hey, Remia. Are you aware of a tentacle freak Goddess called Nyarlathotep? I don't know why but I have a feeling that those abominations have something to do with her."
Honestly this hunch is simply based on H.P. Lovecraft's stories only.
"Huh? Why would you believe Auntie Nyarla has anything to do with them? Despite being a Goddess of Chaos, she's actually a good person you know? You can say that the definition of order for us is equivalent to her definition of chaos.
It's a simple fact that even the Gods themselves enjoy seeing mortals at war. That is the natural course of any world. It started with the humans and Mazoku. If the other side is not exterminated the fighting will not end. No…… let's take it from the human's point of view.
Even if the mazoku perish, human beings will just make a new enemy again. Next will be the elves or the beastmen or even us spirits. If they eradicate the spirits next will be the gods that made them. But I think I am repeating myself. I already told you this before, remember? You should pay more attention."
"Yeah, yeah. I get it. Go on."
"That is the order of the Gods. Nyarla is chaos so it's against that order. She's sweet once you get to know her."
Ok. So the tentacle freak is innocent.
"I'm afraid I lack the knowledge if a diety is behind Legion, but I can assure you, Auntie Nyarla is not related to them despite her tentacle theme. Besides she selected such an interesting otherworlder such as yourself. You're a good person too. Isn't saving your life proof enough?"
"Yeah, I guess you're… wait! You just said… otherworlder. You could tell that!!? Why didn't you say something sooner!!?"
