My Stepsister in Kyoto

Chapter 60: The best man that you have ever seen

"...stay the night?"

"Geez... are you pretending that you don't know anything, Irido-kun?" Akatsuki pouted and complained. "It takes a lot of courage for me to say that, you know?"

Mizuto fell in silence, and he could tell that her hand was trembling as she grasped his wrist, so he held her hand calmly, which made her relaxed for some reason. Still, he didn't forget about her invitation, and he knew what it meant for him to stay at Akatsuki's house.

"Where are your parents?"

"They won't go home tonight."

It was clear that Akatsuki wanted to take their relationship further tonight, but somehow he hesitated.

If Akatsuki was like those housewives, he wouldn't mind taking down Akatsuki, but—

"What are you hesitating for? Is it Yume-chan?"

When she asked this question while trying to appear calm, her voice was trembling. She knew that she was nothing but someone who forced herself to stick to his relationship with Yume, and she knew that his feelings toward Yume were stronger, but even so, it still hurt her when this fact was presented before her.

"No, it's just you are a virgin, right? I am afraid that you might not be able to go to school tomorrow if we do it."

"...."

Hearing his concern, Akatsuki was in a daze for a while and couldn't help but laugh so hard that tears came out of her eyes. Still, her answer made him speechless.

"It's okay." Her voice was so gentle, yet the words that came out of her mouth weren't at all. "Boys at your age should be fast, so even if I am a virgin, it doesn't matter."

At this moment, Mizuto hated a girl who learned psychology the most. He took his smartphone decisively and called his father.

"Mizuto?"

"Dad, I am going out to stay out tonight."

"Huh? Why?"

"I am going to play with my friend and also study with him."

"Ah, is that so? But why so sudden?"

"There will be a placement test at the end of the month, and I aim to become the best!"

Mizuto made some excuses for a while, then hung up the phone after he got permission before he urged Akatsuki. "Come on." Being provoked, there was no way for him to let this girl go. He knew that this might be a little too fast since it had just been a week since they met, but they had done several dates, and he also felt that tonight was a perfect night, so it was natural for their relationship to develop to this state.

As for Yume, while they were close, their parents were always there, so it was hard for them to get a chance to deepen their relationship, and he also wasn't in a hurry with Yume since her hands, thighs, and mouth were comfortable enough.

"But aiming to become the best, huh?" Akatsuki snickered at Mizuto's excuse.

"It's because of you, right? Don't laugh."

When her cheek was pinched, she laughed even harder, but then his phone rang once again.

Mizuto took his phone and didn't feel surprised at the person who called him.

"Who?"

"Shh..."

Somehow, even if he didn't say anything, she could tell who had called him.

"Mizuto, Mineaki-ojiisan told me that you wouldn't go home tonight."

"Sorry, I have something to do today."

"Why?"

"I planned to buy a property."

"Huh?!"

Yume was startled when she heard his words. "Huh? Really? You are not lying, right? Are you going to buy an office building?" She remembered their conversation in the morning, and she knew that he wished to make an office leasing business, but she didn't expect that it would be this fast.

"No, it's too expensive."

"Then, what did you buy?"

"Parking lot."

"...."

"...what?"

"A parking lot. I bought a parking lot."

No word came from Yume at the time as she tried to proceed with what she had heard.

"Let's talk tomorrow."

"O-Okay." Her voice was clearly shaking, which made him smile somehow. "By the way, that garter belt can be postponed tomorrow, right?"

"Pervert!"

They talked for a while, laughing before he hung up the call, but then he noticed Akatsuki was staring at him in silence.

"You think I am lying?"

"Ah, um..." Akatsuki couldn't say a single word since she thought so.

"I didn't lie. I bought a parking lot."

"....." Akatsuki.

"You remember that we went to see several parking lots before, right? One of them is mine."

Akatsuki could only blink her eyes, and she didn't know whether his words were true or not, but then he took out something from his bag and showed it to her. She was confused, but then she realized that it was a real estate legal document. Still, this made her hands shaky; then, she returned it to him in a daze. "...you really bought a parking lot."

"I told you."

"When? More importantly, how?!"

"You remember during the weekend when I told you not to come to the driving class, right? I went to buy a parking lot on Kawaramachi street."

"...real?

"You saw the document, right?"

"...." Akatsuki.

"As for how it is, the owner was in trouble since he couldn't pay the inheritance tax, so he wished to sell that parking lot as soon as possible to pay the tax, so that's where I came and bought the parking lot from him. I got it pretty cheap. I was lucky."

"....."

Nevertheless, Akatsuki was still in a daze since she didn't expect that her man would buy a parking lot.

It was just a parking lot, nothing special, and even dull, but this was a fucking parking lot!

She felt so dizzy and didn't know what to say.

"Are you okay?"

"I-I need to calm down for a bit..."

"Let's go to your house then. You can rest better in your home, right?"

"..."

Akatsuki stared at Mizuto with a pout, thinking that this guy was still as perverted as ever.

Still, even though it wasn't his first time to come to this place, it was his first time to enter, and as expected, it was quite beaten up. It was typical for a building in Kyoto; it wasn't very tall and was about ten floors. They got into the auto-locking doors to the elevator to get into Akatsuki's apartment, which was on one of the higher floors.

"But how?"

"How what?"

"As expected, your family is rich, right?"

"No, I just got lucky."

"Lucky?"

"Yeah, I got money from a cryptocurrency."

"Cryptocurrency?!" Akatsuki was dumbfounded, but she was familiar with this term as there were many people who got rich suddenly due to Bitcoin. She thought it was just a lie created by the media, but she didn't expect that someone like her would make money from it.

"When it isn't popular, I happen to buy some, but I didn't expect that it would give me quite a lot of money."

It was impossible for him to tell the existence of the system, so he might as well have made a white lie. Also, it wasn't like he was lying since he also had some cryptocurrency on his assets.

With "Discount," he could get anything pretty much for free, so why shouldn't he buy some?

"...then?"

"But you know how dangerous cryptocurrency is, and every day you might be scared to death watching it rise and go down like a roller coaster, so I quickly sold all of them after I made money and thought to get something stable that can give me money and isn't so troublesome to manage."

"Then, you chose a parking lot?

"That's right." Mizuto nodded. "It isn't bad, right? It might be plain and boring, but it is simple and easy. There is no need to do something complicated, and it is stable."

"You are right." Even Akatsuki could imagine that it was easy to manage a parking lot as there was no need to do anything since everything was automatic. Mizuto only needed to receive money, check occasionally if something was broken, and then, that's it.

"But why a parking lot?"

"What do you mean, why?"

"I mean, there are a lot of things that you can do with so much money, right?"

"Minami-san, we're a high school. Our first priority is to study. Moreover, my philosophy of business has always been easy and simple. As I have said before, a parking lot is boring, but everyone needs it, especially in that area."

Mizuto thought for a moment and said, "You know that even though money isn't everything, we need money to live. Still, I don't want to work like most adults who often stay late or don't even go home for many days. That's why I worked hard earlier, so that way, in the future, I can spend more time with my family."

Hearing his words, she fell into silence and just stared at him in a daze.

Still, they had arrived at the floor where her apartment was located, so he patted her small hand to wake her up and asked curiously, "We have arrived. Where is your place?"

"O-Over there."

"Okay."

Nevertheless, Akatsuki couldn't take her eyes off him since she knew, hearing his answer, that he was the one for her.

The two walked together, passing some doors, before they arrived in her place.

"Come in."

"Thanks."

However, before Mizuto entered Akatsuki's apartment, he glanced at next door with a subtle expression.
