He couldn't quite believe his eyes.

Inside this barn, housing California Dairy Cows, each black-and-white-spotted cow was confined in its own pen.

In front of them were troughs filled with enticing, aromatic feed that the cows loved.

Thus, the cows quietly ate, oblivious to the young women in black-and-white maid outfits beneath them. These women, with one hand holding a half-meter-high wooden bucket and the other squeezing the cows' udders, were collecting milk.

The young women, about eighteen or nineteen years old, had slender figures and inexperienced faces.

Zeng Shen recognized some of them as the girls from the technical school's trainee dormitory.

"Tsk tsk, who would've thought they still manually collect milk here with young women? I wonder how much this milk sells for. Regardless, it's probably too expensive for common people," Zeng Shen mused as he and Asha approached the first milk-producing cow.

Under the cow, a girl had just collected two-thirds of a bucket of milk and was walking towards a compartment labeled "Fresh Milk Storage Room."

She hadn't been gone for a minute when another maid stepped in to continue collecting milk.

Asha noticed Zeng Shen's delighted expression at the cow and asked, "Master, is this cow a future intelligent race?"

"Yes, but I can't communicate with it yet to make it my follower," Zeng Shen replied, moving on to the next pen.

He cast two Peering Eyes, one at the girl collecting milk and one at the cow.

The feedback revealed the girl would become a secret realm monster, while the cow would be a future carcass.

Zeng Shen didn't linger at the second pen and moved to the third, casting his Peering Eyes again. Receiving similar feedback, he proceeded to the next pen.

Upon reaching the fiftieth cow pen, he saw a panel above the cow's head.

It indicated the cow would become an intelligent race, a California Tauren.

Zeng Shen was unsure whether to be pleased or disappointed.

Of the fifty California Dairy Cows in Barn No. 21, ten would become intelligent races, but none would become beasts.

Asha noticed Zeng Shen's furrowed brow and asked, "What's wrong, Master?"

"Without beasts, I can't convey my message to these future intelligent cows through those that become beasts," Zeng Shen explained, watching the girls take milk to the adjacent room.

Since he hadn't identified the future deity, Zeng Shen guessed it might be in the adjacent room.

Entering, Zeng Shen was surprised.

The room had two underground elevators, indicating a basement below.

When a girl brought in a half-bucket of milk, she pressed the elevator button. As the doors closed, Zeng Shen quickly entered the elevator with Asha.

The elevator descended to the first basement level, opening its doors.

The girl poured the milk into the conveyor belt and was about to leave.

As for the underground biological research base, she had never heard of it.

The girl knew nothing about a base, and all he saw was a conveyor belt.

Yet the system indicated a base was here.
