My System Arrives 3 Years Earlier, But the Deities Haven't Come Yet

Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Divine Control and Repayment in a Year

[Treatment: Low-level skill, double-click to learn. Consumes 50 faith points or mental energy to heal injuries.]

[Divine Control: Double-click to use, upgradable. Consumes 1000 faith points or a large amount of mental energy to control a target according to your will. The higher the target's rank, the lower the success rate. 100% control at the same rank, consuming 1000 faith points or mental energy per minute. If the host's rank is greater or lesser than the target's by each rank, faith consumption is halved or increased by 50%.]

"Amazing."

"With Divine Control, as long as I have enough faith, I can control anyone of the same rank. I can do whatever I want."

Zeng Shen was fascinated by the Divine Control talent card after a brief glance at the Treatment skill.

He immediately learned both skills.

When the camper stopped at the Gathering Spirit Building, Zeng Shen closed the lottery wheel and went upstairs to join Li Yuqing and Liu Tongtong for dinner. They also discussed where to film the Hanfu videos to attract followers.

On the first day, Zeng Shen earned 200 survival points with Li Yuqing and continued his daily point-gathering routine.

No new zones were triggered today, earning him 2210 survival points.

The next day, Zeng Shen swept through nearby areas and headed to the city's south, north, and east, gaining 30 survival points, before driving west.

His destination wasn't the docks immediately but a bank headquarters nearby to meet Liu Miao.

After about twenty minutes, Zeng Shen sent Liu Miao a voice message.

"I'm almost there. Where are you?"

Liu Miao quickly replied, "I just arrived at the bank entrance. I'll wait for you to go in."

"Okay."

Zeng Shen hung up, arriving at the bank entrance within thirty seconds.

Liu Miao stood at the door, wearing a tight-fitting light red dress that highlighted her tall, elegant figure. Her long legs were wrapped in shiny black stockings that glinted invitingly in the sunlight.

"That Liu cat definitely dressed up for this," Zeng Shen muttered as he parked and got out.

Liu Miao was slightly surprised to see Zeng Shen stepping out of the massive Wuling camper. She approached with a natural closeness, linking her arm with his like a friendly older sister.

"Zeng Shen, your camper is so cool. I wanted one to travel around China a few years ago."

[Warning: The host is being ensnared by a Tier 3 Water Deity. Escape quickly to avoid becoming enslaved.]

Hearing the prompt, Zeng Shen rolled his eyes mentally.

Then, as a show of defiance, he leaned closer to Liu Miao, savoring the touch before saying, "That sounds great. I was thinking of doing the same. Why don't we go together sometime?"

Liu Miao was caught off guard by his boldness, her cheeks reddening slightly, but she maintained her friendly demeanor. "Sure, once my company gets through this crisis and I have some free time, I'd love to join you, as long as your girlfriend doesn't mind."

"Haha, it's a deal then," Zeng Shen laughed. "Let's get down to business, Liu Jie."

"Right."

Liu Miao didn't let go, walking with Zeng Shen into the bank. A pair of eyes wearing dark sunglasses watched them from a nearby van.

Inside, the bank's lobby manager, familiar with Liu Miao, approached them.

"Liu Jie, you're here again. It's not that I don't want to approve your loan, but the headquarters doesn't have enough funds to lend you."

"I know, but I'm sure this time your president will approve the loan," Liu Miao said, leading Zeng Shen to the office.

They entered a well-appointed office where a woman in her fifties, dressed in a suit, looked up from her desk.

"Liu Miao, when did you arrive? You should have called so I could greet you."

Liu Miao sat across from the president, handing over a folder. "President Li, let's skip the pleasantries. I'd like to use this as collateral for a loan. Please take a look."

President Li adjusted her glasses, maintaining a neutral expression as she opened the folder.

Her eyes widened slightly in surprise.

"A seven hundred million risk agreement with the city's largest Jin Hai Jewelry Company, signed by President Shi. Who's Zeng Shen? I've never heard of him. This isn't a fake, is it?"

Liu Miao replied, "You're joking, President. This is Zeng Shen right here. He signed the agreement with President Shi a few days ago. You can call to verify."

President Li scrutinized Zeng Shen briefly.

Seeing Liu Miao holding his arm, she initially thought he was just a pretty boy she brought along, but realized he might actually be quite influential.

"Alright, please wait a moment," President Li said, picking up her phone to video call Shi Mingqiang.

At the Trade Tower, Shi Mingqiang was in a good mood, listening to his think tank's ideas on how to market the Green Imperial Jade and achieve a significant profit.

His phone rang suddenly.

He answered, seeing President Li on the screen.

"Hello, President Li, what can I do for you?"

"President Shi, did you sign a seven hundred million risk agreement with a young man named Zeng Shen?"

Hearing the bank president's question, Shi Mingqiang's earlier joy vanished.

He knew this call meant his nephew-in-law was using all his assets as collateral for Liu Miao.

Taking a deep breath, Shi Mingqiang confirmed, "Yes, I used all my assets to sign a seven hundred million risk agreement with him."

"President Shi, I'm recording this call. I'm asking because he's using this agreement to back Liu Miao's loan. Do you approve?"

Reluctantly, Shi Mingqiang agreed. "Yes, he can secure as much as the agreement allows."

"Understood. I'll include our conversation in the loan documents. I'll send you an electronic document to sign later."

"Alright."

President Li ended the call, her previously stern face breaking into a smile as she turned to Zeng Shen and Liu Miao.

"The agreement is valid and can secure a loan. How much do you want?"

"I'm looking for a hundred million. What's the interest rate and repayment terms?" Liu Miao asked.

"Eight percent, with the principal and interest due in a year."

"What did you say?" Zeng Shen interrupted.

"Eight percent," President Li repeated, her voice slightly shaky, as she had exaggerated the rate.

"No, the next part," Zeng Shen pressed.

"Principal and interest due in a year," she confirmed.
