Chapter 12: Chapter 11: The Demon Monk (1)
Note: Bonus chapter for the day because I was able to, and this chapter felt like the story was finally progressing at a good speed.
-------------------------------------------
It was trapped in the body for a long time. The owner of that body had a stronger will and determination than it had expected. As it quickly tried to take control of his body, he sealed his energy and blood, sealing off his own consciousness.
'It's no use resisting further~'
It was only a matter of time before consciousness collapsed. No matter how strong your will was, all would eventually give in. Once it had the weakened body and consciousness enough, it could take over this body.
'It won't be long!'
It had thought everything was going smoothly. However, an unexpected variable appeared.
If it had stayed a little longer, it would have been able to break through the sealed consciousness, but an obstacle arose.
'Who are you?'
Ordinary humans cannot know of its existence. However, this being knew how to control it using strange techniques.
'Are you trying to kick me out?!'
So, the beings began a power struggle, the result of which would determine if it were kicked out or could successfully take over the body.
Then, it was tricked by the being who wielded this strange technique and ended up entering a wooden doll.
'How dare you deceive me?!!'
Full of resentment, it became even angrier. It seemed that this anger would go away only if it took over the body again and twisted the neck of the being that tried to drive it out.
But there was an interruption along the way. Thus, it targeted not the body it was trying to occupy, but the person in the way.
'You have a nice body~ A young body~'
Unlike the body it was originally trying to occupy, it was not overflowing with energy, but was rather biased toward yin, making it easier to be active. This body was worth having.
'Because you are younger than the previous body, your ego and will also be weaker. I'll take it quickly. All I have to do is erase your consciousness. If you stimulate and confine your consciousness, your ego will eventually weaken!'
But,
'This…'
It was amazed. Who is the owner of this body? A primal desire that felt like it will pierce its lungs. It was a murderous desire.
'Is this guy really a living being?'
[Death]
[Darkness]
[Anger]
[Fleshy]
All of these things were mixed together and filled with a sinister energy. For a being, this desire full of death and murder was an instinct that could not be rejected.
'It is truly the best body!'
It was delighted with this desire. However, it was soon overcome by disappointment. The highest desire, which would have bloomed splendidly if left alone, was suppressed by something and could not bloom properly.
'I will remove the factor that suppresses your desires.'
If it is a desire that has not yet been enlightened, it is better to completely open it. A perfect body requires a perfect mind. But something unbelievable happened.
'What are you?'
The boy recognized it, and came to understand who he was, and who it was. It tried to confine his consciousness to the desired reality, but it failed spectacularly.
'This can't be happening! How did you recognize me? It was impossible for a living being to directly recognize or contact me!'
If so, there is nothing more that could be done... Even if it is a somewhat rough method, there is no choice but to forcibly proceed with the erosion of the boy's consciousness.
The erosion of the body has already progressed, and if the will and consciousness are eaten away, there will be no choice but to give up the body.
'!?'
Suddenly, something changed. It was the first time it felt flustered. The erosion was occurring in reverse. The energy that penetrated the body was being absorbed into the boy. It happened at an unimaginable speed.
'Stop!'
'What are you talking about?'
'Stop!'
'It's so noisy.'
'No!'
'Did I not say it was noisy?'
'I will give up. I'm going out, so stop.'
If it continued like this, he might be completely eaten. It tried to escape somehow. But now he was holding on to it with a menacing grin.
…
"Phew" Shaman Myoshin sighed in exhaustion and then picked up the sword that had fallen on the floor.
He thought it would be light, but the weight of the sword was quite heavy. Shaman Myoshin, holding the sword with both hands, looked at Jangju with a tense face.
'Can I really do it?'
Although he has exterminated things like curses, he has never killed a living human being. That's why he was nervous when he was actually about to do it. But he had to do it.
'I have to kill him.'
Only then could he complete the great lady's request and blame everything on the boy. He would say that the boy went on a rampage and killed Jangju because the Shaman was about to heal Jangju.
'If that happens, I will naturally be able to deal with this guy with the help of the great lady. Let's do it!'
He had to hurry. When the boy's guard outside came in, things would go wrong. Shaman Myoshin tried to take a step towards Jangju.
It was that moment.
*Startle*
Shaman Myoshin, who was taking a step, stopped in his tracks. Overcome by a chill that was so chilling that it made his skin crawl, he slowly turned his head with a stiff expression on his face.
'!?'
Myoshin couldn't hide his flustered expression for a moment. He couldn't believe his eyes. A large, blurry figure, two heads taller than an average adult was glaring at him with an eerie glow in his eyes.
'This….this…..'
A large monk wearing blood-soaked robes and a skull beads hanging around his neck. The monk's bloodless face was lifeless.
'The Curse?!'
Myoshin could tell that this being was definitely a curse. Curses like this one were called Evil spirits, but people also called them ghosts.
*Rurg*
Cold sweat flowed from Myoshin's forehead.
'Does this mean that my spiritual eyesight has improved? It's my first time seeing such a clearly shaped curse with my own eyes…'
'Shit!'
Myoshin cursed harshly in his mind. There was no way his spiritual vision would suddenly increase. This curse must have been of such a high class and strong evil spirit that he could see its physical manifestation! He definitely could not handle it!
*Changerang*
Myoshin threw down his sword and made a hand sign.
*Papak*
'Im (臨)!'
*Papak*
'Soldier!'
*Papak*
'Tu (鬪)!'
*Papak*
'Go!'
*Papapapap*
At the same time, Myoshin, who had made a Geomgangwon seal with Geomgyeol, chanted a spell towards Goi.
"Dujeonwiryeong Tain Sergeant General Dog Five Gyeong Ohho Il Seongju Bujeong Yosagwigwichulextroversion…"
At that moment, a curse with the appearance of the strange monk approached him, moving like fog.
*Srrrrr*
'It's no use!'
He was protecting his body by attaching the Seven Stars to his chest. It may be difficult to command, but it is impossible for this curse to directly affect him…
*Puck*
At that moment, Myoshin, who was hit in the face, had no choice but to stop reciting the spell. It was painful, but Myoshin blinked in confusion.
"Uh, how?"
The person who hit him was none other than Mok Gyeongwoon. How does he move when he could not stop his body from being possessed by the curse that was in Jangju's body?
Myoshin's puzzled eyes shook when he noticed something. There was something blurry and black flowing like a thread from Mok Gyeongwoon's chest, connecting it to the curse's strange body.
Myoshin saw this and realized something was wrong, 'How could this happen?'
That meant only one thing. The fact that soul and curse were connected meant that it was a summoned spirit. But the reason Myoshin was surprised was simple.
'How did he tame the evil spirit??'
That curse was an evil spirit. They are deep-rooted spirits filled with resentment, and they do not follow people!
'There are some skilled shamans who manipulate summoned spirits, but those are good spirits. This was just absolute nonsense.'
How can such an evil spirit; filled with murder, become a summoned spirit? Moreover, that child was not someone who had learned shamanism or martial arts.
Myoshin couldn't understand it at all. For ordinary people, if they were to be attacked by something as strange as that, they would have lost their bodies or their lives, or both!
'How…'
"Can I take this off?"
"What?"
"Park*
At that time, Mok Gyeongwoon reached out his hand and took something off his chest.
"Huh?"
It was a fluttering yellow paper; a talisman of the seven stars.
At this, Myoshin's eyes widened. It was that amulet that protected oneself from monsters. But he took it off!
*Srrrrr*
A large pale monster was approaching with an eerie smile.
Myoshin, flustered by this, hurriedly made a seal and tried to recite a protection spell on behalf of the amulet.
*puck*
"Keuok!"
Mok Gyeongwoon kicked him in the stomach. Myoshin, who was hit in the abdomen, collapsed on his back due to the pain of his internal organs turning over. He tried to seal it again, holding back the urge to vomit.
"Oops!"
Myoshin's waist bent in the opposite direction. His face darkened and his veins bulged.
*Tutuk*
*Tootuk*
Myoshin knew. The curse was inside him, and was trying to kill him. If he didn't form a seal quickly and use shamanism, he might be attacked by the curse and lose his life. Myoshin tried to make a hand sign with one hand, using all his strength.
*Ouch*
Mok Gyeongwoon stepped on his hand. To prevent him from doing just that. Flustered and shocked, Shaman Myoshin gasped and begged with all his might, "Gasp! Please save me Young Master! Please….Please let me save my life…I will do…anything…."
"I do not need it."
"If it is because I tricked you-"
"No," Mok Gyeongwoon shook his head, "I decided to live somewhere else, so what can I do? By the way, you also heard where the documents and stamp are."
'!?'
Myoshin was at a loss for words at this. Wouldn't that mean that Mok Gyeongwoon was already planning to kill him, regardless of whether he lied?
Mok Gyeongwoon looked at him in bewilderment and said with a grin, "So just die~"
*Creepy*
The corners of his mouth were smiling, but his eyes were as emotionless as a dead person's. That sight felt creepier than the demonic evil monk spirit!
"Oops! Wow!"
Blood flowed from Shaman Myoshin's mouth, veins bulging all over his face. Then, his convulsing body slowly stopped moving entirely.
