Chapter 517: Chapter 117
Title: Shun's POV 1
...
Shun's POV.
Two days...That's how long this war has gone on for, and we're almost at the climax of it all. It was both boring and interesting to watch at the same time. Now don't think I'm some heartless person for thinking this, but even the lives lost were lost in good faith. At least, I won't let their sacrifice be in vain.
Of the over one hundred thousand Shinobi who began this battle, less than fifty thousand remained, and this is a lot considering that some clans that weren't supposed to exist, actually exist.
The Chinioke and Tengoku aside, so many major and minor clans that we, Hanagakure, had taken in over the years were also included in this war. Not to mention the increased numbers of the Uchiha clan. It's a pity a lot of them died, but in a way, I find it to be for the best.
Of the ones still alive and kicking, a good seventy percent of them had all awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan. If this wasn't for the best, then I don't know what is.
In the many years of the Uchiha clan's existence, I doubt this many individuals had awakened their Mangekyou Sharingan at the same time. This opens more room for the next generation.
I remember talking to Kaguya about bloodline strength once. We both came to understand that unlike in cultivation worlds where bloodlines dilute with time, in this world, Bloodline strength depends solely on Chakra and intent.
An Uchiha can have a Tails' worth of Chakra, but still remain unable to awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan. In the end, it boiled down to that same curse of 'Hatred'.
Hagoromo felt pain in order to awaken his, Indra felt pain in order to Awaken his, so who were the younger generation to just awaken it because they have more chakra than the next?
Please, for all intent and purposes, Pain is a necessity to Awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan. However, Chakra then becomes a necessity to use it. Take Kakashi for example, he and Obito awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan at the same time, yet, while one went on a rampage the other fainted.
And even when Kakashi got used to the Mangekyou Sharingan, he still couldn't spam it like Obito. The reason being that, with each evolution of the Sharingan, an Uchiha experiences a surge in Chakra while instinctively knowing what their abilities are and how to use it.
It was that Hax. They were a clan filled with Cheat Level abilities. I'm just dreading the future of Konoha... Thankfully, Sasuke is next in line to be the clan head. Whether in terms of strength or inheritance. With his Rinnegan, he could put any rogue Uchiha in their places.
"Madara will soon become the new Sage of Six Paths." Eein said from my laps, her cute voice dragging me out of my thoughts. Smiling at her deduction, I said. "That's true, but he's only a pawn in the grand scheme of things."
"Hmm. I know that much Papa." Eein said with a confident smile and then continued. "His chakra is slowly resembling that of Kaguya-nee-"
Before she could finish, I gave her a light knock on her head causing her to feign being hurt and look at me with tear-filled eyes. "It's Kaguya-kaa-san to you." I said, totally ignoring her eyes.
"But she said I shouldn't call her that. It makes her feel old." Eein said with a pout.
"Well guess what? She's old. In both seniority and age." I said but out of nowhere, a sudden chill crawled up my spine causing me to look around, a little bit tense.
The hell?
"Humph, I'll tell her you called her old when she comes back." Eein said with a snort and looked away, her cute exterior making me almost want to pet her but who was I? I'm a mothafuckin God with a capital G.
"We'll see." I said in reply. "Ah. That reminds me, where are the Daimyos hidden?" I asked no one in particular, but a certain auburn haired woman in the room reacted and turned to me.
"They are in a safe place. You don't need to worry about them, Shun-san." She replied.
"Oh...I'm not really worried about them per se, it's just...they need to die," I said and prepared myself for an earful. As a Kage, it's expected that she'll back them even if she hates them to the bone, but me? I couldn't care less.
They were entitled idiots that bear close to half the responsibility for what the world has turned into today. I couldn't care less for which one of their ancestors decided that they owned which land, hiring Clans to act like their mercenaries for years...
Now that I think about it, over 300 years ago, weren't they the ones who initiated the Warring States Era? Wow... How come I never really thought about it.
"I understand what you're saying, Truly, I do. But they need to die. Whatever you say now is actually irrelevant." I said after the woman had gone on and on about how important they were.
"Then how about the chaos that will ensue in their absence?" She asked.
"What chaos?"
"The lands and all that they own. We Shinobi villages are basically paying rent to live in their lands, in return, we fight their battles." She began with conviction, but her voice fell towards the end.
I raised my finger and pointed at Izanami. "She created an island for women alone...Have you heard about them going to war before?" Before she could answer, I pointed at Izanagi. "He created a twin island out there somewhere-
"Redaku. On Ouji Island." Izanagi interrupted.
"Oh. So he created that land out there, have you heard of the land before?" I asked Mei, not really concerned about Izanagi's correction. It's not like I didn't know that. "I created the ever expanding Tengoku Island...have we ever had a cause to go to war?" I asked again.
"I still don't see your point." She said,
"The point I'm trying to make is that, after their demise, subsequent Kages won't just be Kages anymore. They'll be something akin to the Daimyos, but on a somewhat democratic level." I said. I'm actually coming up with this on the spot but I feel like I'm going somewhere with this.
"Think about it. Currently, you're trying to protect them, but after this war is over, would they so much as utter a word of gratitude?" I asked and the woman kept silent.
"You see, they're like... parasites...I think. They only know how to feed off of people while giving nothing in return. So I see no need for them in the new world I'm about to bring." I said and turned back to the screen where a mansion stood in a relatively hidden part of the land of Waterfall.
"That place really is hidden. Unfortunately..." I said and waved my hand slightly and the building and everyone within it disintegrated much to the Mizukage's shock.
"Wha...What have you done?!" She asked or practically demanded with a raised voice causing everyone in the room to look at her.
"I'm going to assume that this outburst is a result of a lack of understanding of where you stand. Izanagi, mind her. I wouldn't mind sending her back to the battlefield." I said and then turned to the screen.
Hmm... Any moment now...
"That fake Six paths brat is weak, Papa." Eein said referring to Obito who was still having his arse handed to him by the combined might of Naruto and Sasuke.
Jūgo was also strong enough to fight him as his body literally produces Senjutsu Chakra...the others were just now extras.
But I must say, my efforts in training them hadn't been in vain. In fact, I think I may have to reward them after this war is over. The Konoha nine were more than impressive. Neji didn't have to die, Hinata was strong enough to command respect amongst the Shinobis of the other villages, Sakura was stronger physically than she was in the original...From what I'm seeing though.
Karin is good but she isn't Konoha, Sai too. But Temari....that lass, if only she was in a Cultivation world...too bad. The training I gave her back when she was still a Genin made her Chakra strong enough to handle any weapon she laid her hands on.
She was basically a Weapons Grandmaster in the very essence of it. Any weapon she laid her hands on, she could use. She was just that much of a genius. It was a pity that she couldn't use any of my weapons and live to tell the tale.
Zanka no Tachi alone would suck her chakra dry with one swing, the bow would suck her chakra with just one shot, the axe...well, she wasn't physically strong enough to use it, the staff...same reason. As for the cape.
I snapped my finger and a black cape appeared in front of me.
"What's that Papa?"
"One of my many weapons." I said and then threw it to the table. "I plan on giving it to Sasuke. He'll be instrumental in the world I'm going to create."
"Oh." Eien said and lost interest. She was probably only interested because the cape had my chakra signature on it. I don't blame her though. I did make this cape when I was just a Human...
Now that I say it, it sounds weird. I did create before I became God...I think that sounded right.
Yeah, it does. The weapons would've been unusable to humans if it had any essence of the Divine in it.
Anyways, where was I? That's right…Shikamaru is good, at least he could enter the Shadow dimension for a brief instant before he's thrown out, so that's something. His father couldn't even access it.
Ino is good, but not that good. She's just as good as she was in the original timeline. Strong enough to connect to every Shinobi's mind…Oh, Inoichi isn't dead, same with Shikaku and the rest of them in the HQ. Couldn't just let them die in good faith.
The world needs to think they're dead though, so they're all in here, in Eein, but in a far off land, not close to the Uzumaki and not close to us.
Kiba, Shino, Choji and Lee were also all strong too. I didn't have a way to compare them with the original as I wasn't actually in the original timeline so…But they're strong.
If they could keep up with the rest, they're undoubtedly strong.
...
Fast forward a few minutes and Obito lost control of the Ten Tails chakra, causing the Nine Tailed Beasts to be released from their cages. Madara however, wasn't having any of it. Standing on the Ten Tails husk, he willed nine chakra chains that shot towards the beasts and wrapped around their necks
Naruto was unfortunately in the area and had his Kurama drawn out of him leading him to die.
"Damn." Was the only thing I could say to him, and not too long after, Sasuke followed suit.
While Karin was forcing Naruto to bite into her arms with tears flowing down her face, Sakura was trying her possible best to heal Sasuke's torn heart.
Madara really just stabbed him through the heart with no hesitation whatsoever. A true man convinced of his goals.
A pity though....
Hmm. Despite how much I want to watch Gai have a go at Madara, I think a family reunion is in order. "I'll be back." I said and made to close my eyes when...
"Are you going to meet Gramps?" Izanami asked excitedly.
"Hmm, but I'll be bringing your uncles too."
"What!? Can I come with?" She asked almost stretching from the other side of the table.
I only shrugged and said. "If you can access the Plane, then feel free to."
She obviously crumbled at that causing me to smirk and say. "You see? If only you both actually tried to better yourselves in your long years of existence..."
After saying that, with a smirk, I closed my eyes as my spirit left my body and ascended into the separate dimension Pops had so conveniently built for himself before his passing.
The space where Hagoromo resided and watched over the Shinobi world for years is called the "Mujina's Palace" or "Mujina's Realm." It's a dimension separate from the physical world.
I honestly have no idea why he named it so, but it is what it is.
My first impression of the place was... Boring. It was practically dark all through, I mean...there was no presence of light at all. It was like...what? Even the land was just water. Like...why was the ground Water and the sky...wow.
That man surely has his own taste. Not gonna judge. Afterall, beings like us didn't really need light to actually see, so there's that.
…
A/N: Sorry about the late release. Something personal came up regarding my phone and I apologise so...
Anyways...
