Naruto: Back in Ancient Times

Chapter 526: Chapter 126

Title: New Beginnings 2

...

That was when it happened.

A brilliant cascade of golden energy streaked across the sky like a celestial comet. As it descended, it formed a massive ethereal hand, radiating with divine power and authority. The hand reached out towards the invading figures in the sky, its fingers stretching wide with a commanding presence.

Upon contact, the Hand of God emitted a blinding flash of light, accompanied by a powerful shockwave that rippled through the atmosphere.

The invading figures were engulfed by divine energy, their forms illuminated in the golden glow as they were forcibly restrained and neutralized before they could even process what was going on.

Shun smiled at the scene as he swiped his hand down forcing the invaders to the floor and on their knees.

As for why he smiled, it was different from what others were thinking. While they thought he was smiling at his power, Shun was smiling at the deterrent factor he had just created.

The Ten Vanguards he had just created might have had some misgivings concerning the disparity between their Chakra Levels and Battle Prowess. It was a given that they would think Shun was lying to them.

What better way to educate them than to show them a technique vastly beyond their imagination? To make matters interesting, as he did that, the amount of chakra he used was a miniscule 10,000.

If this wasn't enough to show the disparity in strength, then Shun didn't know what would? Still, he wasn't done. He still needed to move his muscles a bit. It had been sometime since he had fought a truly interesting battle

The battle against Jashin was interesting but the ending was something expected. It was impossible for Jashin to win. It was that simple. And while it was the same now, Shun felt his blood boil due to the diversity of Shinjutsus these guys would use.

As the blinding light from the Hand of God technique faded, Shun remained poised, his senses heightened and his muscles tensed for battle. The invaders, now brought to their knees by the overwhelming display of power, slowly rose to their feet, their expressions a mix of shock and confusion.

Shun's eyes scanned the group of Otsutsukis, each radiating with their own unique aura of power. He could sense the diverse array of space-time abilities they possessed, each one presenting a formidable challenge in its own right.

With a calm resolve, Shun prepared himself for the coming onslaught.

The first Otsutsuki to make a move was a tall, imposing figure with a regal air about him. He unleashed a [Spatial Surge], channeling his chakra into a concentrated spatial blast that streaked towards Shun with incredible speed.

Reacting swiftly, Shun summoned a temporal barrier, [Temporal Shroud] which slowed down the incoming blast just enough for him to dodge and counter.

But a second Otsutsuki, a nimble adversary with the ability to create dimensional rifts, attempted to catch Shun off guard with a surprise attack from behind.

But Shun anticipated the move, his keen instincts warning him of the impending danger. With a burst of speed, he sidestepped the rift and retaliated with a [Singularity Shift], creating a miniature black hole that sucked in the enemy and neutralized the threat.

"Oh..he was this weak?" Shun muttered at how easy it was to disintegrate that one.

At the sight of their comrades' quick disposal, the remaining invaders regrouped, their expressions hardened by their comrade's defeat. Another Otsutsuki, adorned with intricate tattoos glowing with ethereal energy, stepped forward, their eyes gleaming with purple light.

This Otsutsuki possessed the ability to manipulate the fabric of space itself, and with a wave of their hand, he created a distortion in the air, causing the space around Shun to warp and twist unnaturally. Shun felt the very ground beneath him shift and contort, threatening to throw off his balance and leave him vulnerable to attack.

But Shun remained unperturbed, his focus fixed on him as he activated his own space-time ability, [Dimensional Anchor], anchoring himself to a fixed point in space and preventing the Otsutsuki's spatial manipulation from affecting him.

'An ability similar to the Mirror Dimension…interesting.' Shun thought and smiled. 'But the only foe Space can't possibly stand against is Time.'

With his footing secure, Shun countered with a [Temporal Rift], tearing open a rift in time and space that engulfed the Otsutsuki in a swirling vortex of temporal energy.

The Otsutsuki struggled against the relentless pull of the rift, their form beginning to distort and warp as they were pulled into the chaotic depths of the temporal abyss, a realm similar to the Ribe of Time of some mythology.

In this way, that Otsustsuki won't even know how he dies. One moment could end up being a million years if he loses his focus and control.

In this Universe, the Rinnegan was a Cheat in and of itself. With it, Space and Time were just things to be manipulated at will.

"I grow bored of this." Shun suddenly said. This wasn't the type of Battle he was expecting.

As Shun's words echoed across the battlefield, a sense of unease settled among the remaining Otsutsuki. They had witnessed firsthand the devastating power of his space-time abilities, and the realization that they stood no chance against him began to dawn upon them.

But their leader, a formidable Otsutsuki with eyes as cold as ice and a gaze that bore into Shun's very soul, refused to back down. With a silent command, he signaled his comrades to back down as he stepped forward.

As the leader of the Otsutsuki stepped forward, the air crackled with anticipation, his presence commanding respect and instilling fear in those who dared to oppose him.

With a flick of his wrist, he unleashed a [Chrono Disruption], causing time itself to warp and twist around Shun, slowing his movements to a crawl and leaving him vulnerable to attack.

But Shun was prepared, his Rikugan glowing with an otherworldly light as he activated [Thought Acceleration], allowing his mind to process information at an accelerated rate. With lightning-fast reflexes, he countered the Chrono Disruption with a [Temporal Reversal], reversing the effects of the time distortion and restoring himself to full speed.

Time was something Shun was very conversant with. Of both Time and Space, Shun could say with pride that he majored more in Time than Space.

The moment he tapped into Thought Acceleration centuries ago, he had already tapped into it. He could even Stop time should he accelerate his Thoughts to a Million times.

In that state, the world would literally come to a Stop!

So the Technique Chrono Disruption, despite being strong, was nothing but a minor inconvenience to him.

The leader of the Otsutsuki narrowed his eyes, impressed by Shun's quick thinking and abilities. Without hesitation, he pulled out a sword and swung it horizontally.

The slash was so fast that no one other than Shun and Kaguya actually saw it. And to make matters worse, it seemed to actually meld with…Time itself.

'Seems like he also majors in Time…' Shun thought as the technique reached him.

The Otsustsuki unleashed the [Quantum Slicer], slicing through the fabric of reality itself and sending razor-sharp shards of quantum energy hurtling towards Shun from all directions.

Shun's analysed the technique and quickly came up with a counter. The Rikugan was that Hax. The Quantum Slicer basically emits razor-sharp blades of temporal/time energy that slice through targets at the atomic level, causing devastating damage and disrupting molecular bonds.

Shun surmised that if that technique hits, not even his reality manipulation technique could heal him up as his body's molecules would be sent into the Rivers of Time in droves.

But Shun remained unfazed, his eyes gleaming with a fierce light as he activated [Perfect Reflection], creating a barrier that repelled the Quantum Slicer.

A quick glance revealed that it didn't affect any Human spectating the battle. He released a breath of relief as he saw a barrier surrounding the area they were locked in battle and knew that Kaguya must have done something.

And without missing a beat, he waved his hand and retaliated with a barrage of [Temporal Bolts], unleashing torrents of temporal energy that surged towards the Otsutsuki with unstoppable force.

The Temporal Bolt is a Time-Space jutsu that allows Shun to generate bolts of temporal energy and launch them at his target. These bolts possess the ability to disrupt the temporal flow of whatever they come into contact with, causing temporal distortions and fluctuations in the target's perception of time.

In some cases, it can even cause brief temporal displacement, shifting the target's position in time and space.

As the barrage of Temporal Bolts surged towards the Otsutsuki leader, he reacted with swift precision, his eyes narrowing. With a deft motion of his hand, he unleashed a [Gravity Surge], manipulating the gravitational forces around him to create a powerful gravitational field that drew in the incoming temporal bolts towards him.

The Temporal Bolts, infused with temporal energy, began to distort and slow down as they were pulled into the gravitational field, their trajectories altered by the intense gravitational pull.

With a flicker of his gaze, the Otsutsuki leader then utilized [Phase Shift], causing his body to phase out of sync with the temporal plane for a brief moment. As the Temporal Bolts converged upon his location, they passed harmlessly through his phased form, leaving him unscathed.

Shun observed the display of power with a hint of admiration, acknowledging the leader's mastery over space-time manipulation. It was clear that this battle would not be won easily and Shun welcomed that.

In simpler terms, he used gravity to pull the bolts towards him, making them slower and easier to avoid, and then he briefly became like a ghost, letting the bolts pass right through him without hurting him.

The leader of the Otsutsuki smirked, his confidence unshaken as he summoned forth another [Gravity Surge], manipulating It to increase the gravitational pull around Shun, threatening to crush him under the weight of his own existence.

But Shun was one step ahead, his Rikugan pulsating with power as he activated [Omniscience]. The final and exclusive ability of his Rikugan. This granted him complete knowledge and understanding of everything he deems necessary to know.

It was basically the Perfect Observe Skill and the crystallisation of Shun Divinity. It wasn't to the point of knowing everything but knowing what he needed to know was a given.

With a mere thought, he shifted his molecular structure, phasing through the Gravity Surge unscathed and emerging unharmed on the other side.

As Shun effortlessly evaded the intensified gravitational pull, the Otsutsuki leader's smirk faltered, replaced by a flicker of surprise. His eyes narrowed in concentration as he assessed Shun's seemingly impossible evasion.

Meanwhile, Shun remained composed, his omniscient gaze piercing through the Otsustsuki with intensity.

'With a profound understanding of the space-time continuum, he analyzed the intricate threads of causality and potentiality, plotting his next move with unparalleled foresight.' Shun thought internally in amusement. That was probably how it looked from outside point of view.

Sensing an opportunity amidst the pause of battle, Shun seized the moment, his movements fluid and precise. With a mere flicker of his hand, he unleashed a devastating punch channeling an immense amount of chakra that rippled through the space with cataclysmic force.

The punch landed with explosive force, sending shockwaves rippling through the air and causing the very ground beneath them to tremble. The Otsutsuki leader, caught off guard by the sudden onslaught, staggered backward, his composure momentarily shattered by the sheer power of Shun's attack.

As the dust settled and the echoes of battle reverberated through the air, Shun floated in the sky, his gaze fixed upon the Otsutsuki leader with an amused smile.

The Otsutsuki leader, recovering from the initial shock of Shun's assault, narrowed his eyes in silent fury. With a wordless command, he signaled his remaining comrades to advance.

However, the seconds passed with nothing happening causing the leader to turn around only for his eyes to widened in horror. His comrades, the very ones he thought he was protecting all lay dead, their bodies incomplete in one way or the other.

As the leader of the Otsutsuki turned to face the gruesome sight of his fallen comrades, a chill ran down his spine, his heart pounding with fear and disbelief.

The once-mighty warriors, each possessing formidable space-time abilities, now lay broken and lifeless before him, their bodies twisted and contorted in ways that defied comprehension.

Shun's smile widened as he observed the leader's reaction, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. It was a testament to the overwhelming power he wielded, a power that transcended mere physical strength and encompassed the very essence of his divine authority.

It would've been weird if they survived that punch. That punch alone could shatter an entire planet if executed with his full force not to mention a few foot soilders.

As for what gave him the confidence in not destroying the planet, it was Kaguya's seal. Still, looking at the man who had managed to survive, Shun couldn't help but nod in appreciation.

"As expected of someone I appreciate."

With a casual flick of his wrist, Shun summoned forth a swirling vortex of golden Chakra, enveloping the leader. The Otsutsuki leader struggled against the torrent of Chakra, his body writhing in agony as he attempted to break free from its grasp.

But it was futile. The Hand of God, an materialisation of Shun's Will, held the Otsutsuki leader firmly in its grasp, its ethereal fingers closing in around him with relentless momentum..

With a final surge of power, the Hand of God unleashed a blinding flash of light, consuming the Otsutsuki leader in a radiant explosion of golden energy. And in an instant, he was gone, his existence erased.

As the light faded and the echoes of battle subsided, Shun descended from the sky, his presence radiating with an aura of unparalleled majesty. A remaining Otsutsuki, now paralyzed with fear and awe, knelt before him in submission, their defeat inevitable in the face of such overwhelming power.

With a calm but authoritative voice, Shun said. "You've lost."

"I'm willing to submit, my Lord."

"Hmm? You? Submit? I recall you saying something about…what was it? Lower lifeforms?" Shun asked as his aura billowed and assaulted the Otsustsuki.

"I was blinded by my arrogance my Lord. No, Great Monarch." The Otsustsuki said.

Shun looked at the man kneeling in front of him as thoughts flashed through his head. The man in front of him still had some uses but that didn't mean there weren't other way to accomplish what he could do.

"Hmm. I'll find a use for you yet." Shun said and tapped the man on his forehead, placing a Control Seal on his very soul. The Otsustsukis can be cunning than even Shinobis.

While killing the Otsustsukis from earlier, he had felt their souls trying to wriggle away at one point in time, but he had swiftly destroyed them. This man wasn't an exception.

Who was to say he wouldn't give up on his body as soon as the opportunity presented itself.

And so, Shun also made sure to bind his soul to his body eternally. If his soul dies, his body does too and vice versa.

"Get up, I'll be taking you to your new owners." He said, and immediately, the world shattered allowing Shun and the Otsustsuki to return back to Earth.

On earth, all who could observe the battle going on in a separate dimension situated in the sky were already numbed. What they were watching had already exceeded whatever they thought possible.

To even make matters worse, they couldn't even comprehend five percent of the techniques used by either side. All they knew was that chakra was being used.

A few like Naruto, Sasuke, Izanagi, Izanami, Fenrir and Feathers could understand more than the average Shinobi. Not even the Resurrected ten could comprehend.

Of course, compared to Shun's family, Naruto and Sasuke were also lost for the most past.

Finally, they watched as Shun approached the only surviving Invader and tapped his forehead. They didn't know what he did but the next moment, the dimension shattered and a terrifyingly majestic aura descended on the Earth.

The pressure was enough to kill a few weak Humans but as if expecting this, Shun reduced the area the pressure hit and only concentrated it on the Battlefield.

This was a show of power. There was no other way to say it. Shun was just making sure everyone knew just how powerful the Energy from their Battle was in comparison to their measly Chakra.

Shun glanced downward and everyone felt as if he was staring at them only for him to look away and up into the sky while squinting his eyes.

"This war is over. I'll be convening with your leaders on the way forward. Return to your respective villages and await your leaders." Saying that, a dazzling light shone down on the Kages as well as people of interest…that is, the future Kages in Shun's perspective, Obito, Konan, Rin and a few others.

Naruto and Sasuke as well as his family too. As soon as the light disappeared, they were all gone.

At the same time, On The Moon, two women sitting atop two thrones opened their eyes at the same time and sported a smile before looking at eachother.

"They're finally here."
