Gen didn't immediately rush to help Madara; he had his reasons. Although he and Madara could probably suppress the opposing jonin together, killing him was a different story. Gen knew this well—B-rank jutsu wouldn't cut it; only an A-rank jutsu might do the job.
So, he decided to learn one on the spot. He remembered that the system charged 5000 points to unlock an A-rank jutsu. Since killing the special jonin earned him 2000 points, all he needed was another special jonin and a chunin to meet the requirement.
"Fire Release: Flaming Slash!"
The special jonin battling Uchiha Ji was caught off guard when Gen struck from the side, narrowly escaping thanks to his Byakugan-based Rotation defense. Gen landed beside Ji, quickly instructing, "Finish it fast. Let me handle the kill."
Ji, however, was stunned into silence upon seeing Gen's three-tomoe Sharingan. He knew Gen was a genius, on par with Madara even, but Madara was only at one tomoe at his age. How did Gen achieve three? This was unprecedented in the Uchiha clan.
While Ji was in shock, Gen had already refocused, seeing the Hyuga special jonin as nothing more than "mobile points." When his opponent's Rotation stopped, Gen moved in with lightning speed, his three-tomoe Sharingan spinning wildly. With his unique Fox Decapitation Genjutsu, he trapped the Hyuga warrior in an illusion of a vast, desolate desert. Realizing he was ensnared, the jonin panicked, but it was too late—Gen placed an explosive tag on him and jumped back, detonating it and obliterating him.
"Hyuga special jonin defeated. Reward: 2000 points," announced the system in his ear.
Gen caught his breath, feeling a twinge of strain on his Sharingan. Using the Fox Decapitation technique back-to-back had taxed him. While this genjutsu could control opponents, it had a high load on his eyes and was only effective on similarly skilled opponents.
"Just 1000 points to go," he thought, assessing the battlefield. He had spent about two minutes taking down the special jonin.
Approaching Ji, he gestured towards the distant chunin skirmishing with their allies. "Go help with those chunin and support the kids," he commanded, moving on to his next target without waiting for a reply. Ji, seeing Gen's three-tomoe Sharingan and deadly efficiency, couldn't help but respond with deep respect. Strength and the Sharingan determined status in the Uchiha clan, and Gen had demonstrated both beyond question.
As he moved to help Izuna, he found his cousin near exhaustion, barely holding off his opponent. Gen quickly intervened, deflecting the enemy's blade with a kunai, and spared a glance at Izuna. Despite his fatigue, Izuna was still standing, gritting his teeth. Gen was impressed—this resilience would likely lead Izuna to unlock the Mangekyo in the future, even if his talent was not as strong as Madara's.
Time was of the essence, though, with Madara in danger. Without hesitation, Gen unleashed a barrage of shuriken, adding Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique to set them ablaze. The Hyuga chunin deftly dodged each projectile with Byakugan-enhanced vision, avoiding even the incoming kunai.
"Did he think he could get me with such tricks?" thought the Hyuga with a smirk, only to notice the kunai was connected to chakra threads.
"Chakra threads?" he muttered, realizing too late that Gen had skillfully encircled him with a web of chakra threads.
With a tight grip, Gen pulled all the threads taut, igniting them with Fire Release: Fire Dragon Jutsu. A massive blaze engulfed the Hyuga chunin, consuming him completely.
"Hyuga chunin defeated. Reward: 1000 points," the system chimed as Gen exhaled, relieved. The points for his A-rank jutsu were finally gathered.
