After dinner, the attentive young maid quickly cleared the dishes and tidied the bedding, like a warm and caring little helper.
Shortly after preparing the bedding, her cheeks flushed as she whispered, "Master, I'll go draw the bath and... assist you with your bath and rest!"
Hearing the word "bath," Xuan felt a slight ripple of emotion. Normally, a five-year-old wouldn't think of such things, but as a transmigrator with the soul of an adult, the thought of bathing with someone of the opposite sex sparked other notions.
However, when he looked at Chiya Hotaru's small figure, all those thoughts disappeared instantly. A six-year-old girl who hadn't even begun to develop—only two kinds of people could find such a thing appealing: perverts or extreme perverts.
Xuan's room wasn't large, but it had everything he needed: a kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, and a bath.
Chiya Hotaru busily carried heated water into the bath, her small face reddened and slightly sweaty from the effort.
Xuan didn't intervene. He knew that if he tried to help, the young maid would firmly refuse with a determined expression, insisting it was her duty. If he forced his way in, she might cry in private, feeling useless and inadequate—a lesson he learned after once finding her secretly sobbing.
"Master, the water is ready!"
The young maid rushed over, her large, watery eyes fixed on him.
With a gentle smile, Xuan walked over to the tub, undressed, and stepped in. Not long after, the young maid followed, wearing a simple robe. Her face was hidden behind her long hair, but her pinkish skin suggested her nervousness.
"M-Master Xuan, I-I'll scrub your back!" she stammered.
Seeing her nervous demeanor, Xuan stifled a laugh and nodded.
The young maid's trembling hands gently touched Xuan's back, her soft touch soothing. Using a washcloth, she carefully moved across his back, her careful efforts filling Xuan with comfort.
"Ah, the privileges of the ruling class…" he thought, half-jokingly, while enjoying her service. Slowly, he began to feel drowsy.
After the bath, Xuan changed into a robe and slipped into the neatly arranged bedding, closing his eyes contentedly.
---
The next morning, Xuan woke up as usual—a habit he'd developed after transmigrating. No matter how late he slept, he always woke up at this hour.
"Ah, Master Xuan, you're awake! Breakfast is almost ready," came the young maid's voice from the kitchen.
Xuan chuckled to himself. Ever since he'd managed to wake up before her once, she had made it a point to always rise earlier.
After a light breakfast, Xuan said, "Yesterday, my uncle gave me a task. I'll be away for a few days. Stay home and don't wander off."
"How long will you be gone, Master Xuan?"
"Seven days at most," he replied after some thought.
After reassuring her, Xuan checked his kunai and shuriken supply before leaving the Uchiha compound. Along the way, he passed some younger Uchiha clansmen practicing in the morning. Seeing him, they greeted him enthusiastically, their eyes filled with admiration.
Ever since that night's battle, Xuan and Madara had become idols among the younger generation of the Uchiha clan.
After casually responding to the greetings, Xuan leapt into the treetops and sped away.
The Uchiha clan's territory was located in the western part of the Land of Fire. Of course, at this time, the land wasn't yet called the Land of Fire—it was a chaotic expanse ruled by countless warlords and generals, all vying for power. When faced with unsolvable issues, they turned to ninjas for help.
In short, the Land of Fire was in turmoil, as were other lands. The entire world was in chaos, with constant battles among ninjas and wars among ordinary people.
The Fujiwara Mine lay to the north of the Uchiha territory, roughly a few hundred miles away—a manageable distance for a ninja.
While leaping through the trees, Xuan took out a specially marked kunai to examine it carefully. This kunai was inscribed with the formula for the Flying Thunder God Technique. Only after obtaining this jutsu did Xuan realize his understanding of it had been quite shallow.
The Flying Thunder God Technique was divided into three levels:
1. First Level: Utilizing specially marked kunai to teleport instantaneously to their location, bypassing the limitations of distance. However, this has a range limit. Currently, Xuan could only teleport to kunai within ten miles; anything farther was beyond his sensing range.
2. Second Level: Moving beyond reliance on kunai and inscribing seals during combat. Reaching this stage allows teleportation with others and opens up defensive applications, such as creating barriers to transfer incoming attacks elsewhere. Both Tobirama Senju and Minato Namikaze used this advanced form.
3. Third Level: Achieved only by Minato Namikaze in the original story, this level combines shadow clones with the Flying Thunder God Technique, enabling simultaneous attacks from multiple angles. At this stage, the user can dominate the battlefield, making the space around them a deadly trap.
Unfortunately, Xuan was still stuck at the first level. But he wasn't discouraged—at only five years old and with the system's help, he believed it was only a matter of time before he stood at the pinnacle of the ninja world.
---
Moving quickly, Xuan reached the outskirts of the Fujiwara Mine just before sunset.
After some thought, he decided to first meet the Uchiha ninja stationed there to get a better understanding of the situation.
Due to the mine's proximity to the clan's territory, it wasn't heavily guarded. The Uchiha had assigned only one Chunin, Uchiha Masa, and five Genin to defend it.
When Xuan met Uchiha Masa, he found the man looking troubled. Seeing Xuan, Masa was momentarily surprised. After learning Xuan was sent by the clan, he couldn't hide his doubt. Masa had requested a Special Jonin at the very least, so why had the clan sent a child?
Unfamiliar with Xuan's feats, Masa didn't recognize him but still greeted him warmly and explained the mine's situation in detail.
---
Meanwhile, far from the mine, in a bandit camp, a ninja knelt before an eight-year-old girl, reporting, "Princess, Uchiha Xuan has arrived at the Fujiwara Mine."
The girl smiled confidently, her voice low: "After all this effort, we've finally lured him out. Let's see what the so-called Uchiha genius is capable of."
