Looking at his 13,000 system points, Xuan felt a sharp pang of regret. He should have had 14,000.

The system rewarded him 1,000 points for the first mission to uncover the mastermind and another 3,000 points for completing the second phase of the escape mission, totaling 4,000 points.

However, Xuan was supposed to receive an additional 5,000 points for eliminating five Chūnin. Unfortunately, one of those Chūnin was taken down by his clan's Elite Jōnin in a single strike before Xuan's explosive tags could finish him off, costing him 1,000 points.

Later, while fleeing using the Flying Thunder God technique, Xuan managed to kill an enemy Jōnin, earning another 5,000 points, bringing his total to 13,000.

Xuan understood the reality—while the points seemed like a lot, they were barely enough to cover the cost of a single S-rank jutsu. Even the leftover points wouldn't be enough for an A-rank one.

Sitting in deep contemplation, Xuan reviewed his options. Now that he had the Flying Thunder God Technique, he was nearly unbeatable in both pursuit and retreat. For offense, the Rasengan was sufficient for now. As for genjutsu, the system offered powerful options like Tsukuyomi and Kotoamatsukami, but they required 15,000 points each due to his current Three Tomoe Sharingan. Additionally, Kotoamatsukami came with a 10-year cooldown, making it a less viable choice for the moment.

Regarding taijutsu, Xuan briefly considered unlocking the Eight Gates, but recalling how Rock Lee in the original series only managed to open three gates after years of training, he dismissed the idea. He resolved to revisit this option only after acquiring the Sage Body.

After further thought, Xuan also decided against Giant Rasengan—his current chakra control should allow him to master it naturally with time.

"System, exchange for Shadow Clone Technique."

"Shadow Clone Technique, B-rank, costs 1,000 points. Proceed with the exchange?"

"Yes."

As 1,000 points were deducted, Xuan felt a surge of warmth in his body, signifying that he had successfully learned the technique.

The Shadow Clone Technique, invented by the Second Hokage, was highly practical—perfect for battle, reconnaissance, or even mundane tasks. By the time of the Five Great Nations era, not knowing this jutsu as a ninja would have been embarrassing.

In the original series, Naruto Uzumaki relied heavily on just two moves: the Rasengan and Multi-Shadow Clone Technique. Despite the limited repertoire, he consistently overpowered formidable opponents.

Of course, Naruto used the Multi-Shadow Clone Technique, an A-rank jutsu that required massive chakra reserves. While Xuan was confident in his chakra levels, he knew they were nowhere near Naruto's absurd capacity.

By his estimation, his chakra levels ranked at around "7" on a scale where most elite ninjas hovered around "5." This gave him an edge but required strategic management rather than reckless overuse of techniques.

He decided against the Multi-Shadow Clone Technique and moved on.

With 12,000 points remaining, Xuan spent 2,000 to acquire a Wind Release nature, complementing his existing Fire Release. Unfortunately, the Uchiha clan had few Wind Release techniques in their arsenal.

Finally, he chose to save the remaining 10,000 points. He knew that having too many abilities at his current level would dilute his focus. Additionally, points might serve as a safety net for unexpected missions, or he could save them to unlock a Mangekyō Sharingan ability, which required 15,000 points.

Opening his eyes, Xuan didn't know how much time had passed. His maid was still diligently massaging his back. With a gentle smile, he said, "That's enough. Go to bed."

The maid obediently hopped off his back, bowed, and said, "Goodnight, Master," before leaving his room.

Now alone, Xuan gazed out the window. The starlit night sky spread before him, brighter and more breathtaking than anything he'd seen in his past life.

Beneath this vast expanse, his mind calmed.

"Uchiha Tajima doesn't trust me anymore," Xuan thought. "This situation will likely repeat itself. If I reveal new abilities each time, his suspicion will only deepen. Ultimately, it comes down to one thing—I'm not strong enough yet. If I were Kage-level, I could either eliminate him or contend with him openly. But for now, I must focus on getting stronger."

With that resolve, he decided to start taking on missions to hunt down enemy clan ninjas, earning points while training his skills.

"Taijutsu needs more work," he mused. "The Flying Thunder God Technique works best with a solid foundation in hand-to-hand combat."

As his thoughts shifted to broader plans, Xuan pondered building his own faction. "The Uchiha clan betrayed Madara in the original series. They may not be reliable allies in the future."

Determined to grow stronger, Xuan eventually drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, Xuan woke promptly. After being served breakfast by his maid, he informed her that he would be taking missions and might not return for two or three days. He instructed her to look after the house in his absence.

Before leaving, he noticed the Tenkumo Sword by the door and decided to bring it along. He resolved to use taijutsu more in battle, reserving ninjutsu for tougher opponents.

Arriving at the clan's training ground, Xuan practiced taijutsu for a while before the younger Uchiha children began arriving. He gave them some pointers on ninjutsu before slipping away as more people showed up.

---

The Uchiha clan headquarters bustled with activity as resources were mobilized in preparation for war against the Hyūga clan. Xuan could sense the tension in the air but had no intention of participating.

Inside the Uchiha mission hall, he found the space vast and sparsely populated this early in the day. The polished stone floor gleamed under the light, and along the walls, three massive pillars bore the clan's emblem.

Scanning the hall, Xuan spotted several elders sitting behind desks. Each bore scars or injuries from the battlefield, now tasked with mission distribution.

Approaching one of the elders, Xuan said, "Are there any missions available?"
