The Hyūga Jōnin was alarmed. At the critical moment, his chakra erupted violently.

Under the moonlight, a dark silhouette leapt swiftly toward them. Following closely behind was another Jōnin, trailed by several Chūnin and Genin from the Yemugi Clan. It was quite the spectacle.
Hikaru smirked.
"Besides Madara, who else would make such an entrance?"
Uchiha Madara landed not far from Hikaru, his arms crossed and stance exuding dominance. His sharp gaze swept over the scene.
He saw the corpses of three Special Jōnin, the Hyūga Jōnin in the middle of using Rotation, and Yemugi Clan's Jōnin standing atop the burning granary.
Most notably, his eyes lingered on the scorched and ruined granary.
Satisfied, Madara nodded.
"Not bad."
Hikaru rolled his eyes and looked up at the sky, ignoring Madara's words.
This guy really thinks he's my boss, huh? Dream on.
The Hyūga Jōnin stopped his Rotation and used the Body Flicker Technique to retreat to a safer distance, only to find no immediate attacks coming his way. Turning back cautiously, he spotted Madara, who had just arrived. His expression darkened further.
Moments later, Yemugi Keisen appeared, standing on a tree branch not far away. His cold gaze swept over the fallen bodies of his clan's Special Jōnin.
"Brother," Yemugi Keisen's younger sibling, the other Jōnin, greeted him casually from atop the granary.
Keisen nodded slightly. Once the pursuing Chūnin and Genin arrived, he raised his hand.
"All of you, stand down. This matter is beyond your abilities."

In the Warring States period, unless one had godlike power, lower-ranked shinobi still had their uses. With the Yemugi Clan's numbers, a coordinated assault could force even Madara and Hikaru to retreat. However, Keisen wasn't willing to exhaust his clan's resources recklessly. Thus, he dismissed his forces.
"Yemugi Keisen, what are you doing? Are you not afraid of the Chinoike Clan's wrath? You should join forces with your brother and me to take down these two now!"
The Hyūga Jōnin shouted in frustration, his voice tinged with desperation.
Madara leaned closer to Hikaru and whispered, "What's going on?"
Hikaru shrugged.
"Beats me. But it seems they aren't exactly on the same page. When I fought the Hyūga Jōnin earlier, the Yemugi Clan's Jōnin was just spectating. Human motivations are complicated. How should I know what they're thinking?"
"Hmm..." Madara pondered briefly.

"Yemugi Keisen, let's talk," Madara suddenly proposed.
"What do you want to say?" Keisen responded, ignoring the Hyūga Jōnin's frantic protests.
The single tomoe in Madara's Sharingan spun slowly.
"You've secretly assisted the Hyūga Clan in stockpiling grain, putting you at odds with the Uchiha Clan. You know the consequences of that.
"But I'm offering you a chance. Kill that Hyūga Jōnin, and your actions will be forgiven. This entire incident can be written off. What do you say?"
The Hyūga Jōnin's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Don't listen to him! If you don't stand with us, you'll offend the Hyūga Clan. Do you think the Uchiha will let you off just because you switch sides now?"
Madara smirked as the Hyūga Jōnin's frantic outburst echoed through the air.
"Madara really knows how to stir the pot," Hikaru mused, entertained by the unfolding drama.
Keisen's expression became contemplative. The scene grew silent.
The cool night wind rustled through the trees, adding a chilling atmosphere.
Cold sweat dripped from the Hyūga Jōnin's brow, undisturbed by the breeze.
After a long pause, Keisen shook his head slowly.
"My clan is small. We dare not meddle in the affairs of two giants. Tonight, if you wish to fight, resolve it among yourselves. My brother and I will not interfere."
The Hyūga Jōnin exhaled in relief. This was an outcome he could begrudgingly accept.
Madara frowned slightly. While not ideal, he decided not to press too hard, lest the Yemugi Clan side entirely with the Hyūga. That would complicate matters.

But Hikaru suddenly broke the silence with a cold laugh.
"Yemugi Keisen, is it? You think you can remain neutral?
"The Hyūga Jōnin isn't wrong. The moment you helped them stockpile grain, you opposed the Uchiha Clan. There's no backing out now. The only fate awaiting your clan is annihilation. Small clans like yours are nothing more than ants to us. Crushing you would be effortless."
Madara glanced at Hikaru in surprise.
Why threaten them outright? That could push them to the other side.
But when Hikaru shot him a meaningful smile, Madara caught on and quickly adjusted his demeanor.
The younger Yemugi Jōnin snarled angrily, stepping forward with a combat-ready stance.
"You dare threaten us?! Do you think you're invincible?"
Hikaru sneered, unfazed.
"It's not a threat—it's a promise. You're welcome to try. But I guarantee, if you so much as lift a finger, your entire clan won't see another sunrise."
The Hyūga Jōnin shouted again, his frustration mounting.
"Keisen! Stop hesitating. Attack them with me now. Otherwise, you'll suffer the consequences!"
Keisen clenched his fists, his body trembling slightly.
After a moment, he spoke in a low, icy voice.
"Then, if you two were to die here tonight... who would be left to spread this tale?"
