Chapter 160: Chapter 158: Heavenly Obstacle Star x999

Chapter 158: Heavenly Obstacle Star x999

"Seriously?"

Initially content to observe from a distance, Uchiha Yi was forced to act when one of the colossal meteorites summoned by Madara was on a direct collision course with his position.

"Tch. Guess I'll move for now."

Without hesitation, Yi reclined on his fiery throne, allowing the flames to envelop him as he disappeared into the Fire Realm. Moments later, he reappeared several kilometers away, hovering safely out of harm's reach.

"Now that's quite the spectacle," Yi mused, watching the sheer chaos unfolding below. "With Hashirama's strength, he should have no problem dealing with it. But... what if we raised the stakes a bit?"

Initially uninterested in interfering, Yi glanced at the slow transformation of the Ten-Tails. It was still incomplete and progressing far too sluggishly for his liking.

A mischievous smirk spread across his face.

"Let's speed things up."

"Heavenly Obstacle Star—x999!"

Activating his Six-Tomoe Rinnegan, Yi extended his chakra outward, sensing the countless meteoroids floating aimlessly in orbit above the planet. With a wave of his hand and a surge of Banshō Ten'in, he began pulling them down in rapid succession.

---

"Wood Style: Wood Golem Jutsu!"

On the battlefield below, Hashirama faced the first meteorite head-on.

The colossal shadow it cast over the land sent waves of despair rippling through the Allied Shinobi Forces. Ordinary shinobi, frozen in fear, could only gape at the impending disaster, their hope extinguished.

But Hashirama remained calm, his hands flying through a series of seals. With a thunderous roar, a massive wooden golem erupted from the earth, standing tall enough to challenge the falling rock.

As the meteorite hurtled toward them, the golem raised its enormous arms and caught it with a deafening crash. Dust and debris exploded outward, but the golem held firm, preventing any harm to the forces below.

"Madara..." Hashirama began, turning toward his old friend to address him.

But before he could continue, Hashirama noticed Madara's gaze fixed skyward, his expression unusually grave. Curious, Hashirama followed his line of sight—and his breath caught.

Above them was not just one meteorite.

The sky was filled with them.

A veritable storm of meteors, dozens, then hundreds, then over a thousand, each hurtling toward the earth with unrelenting speed.

"Madara, this is too much!" Hashirama's tone hardened, his earlier lighthearted demeanor replaced by a steely resolve.

Clearly, this level of destruction crossed a line, even for his former comrade.

But Madara simply scoffed, his arms crossed as he stood atop his Susano'o.

"Tch. Don't blame me, Hashirama," Madara said, his voice cold. "I only summoned one. This... isn't my doing."

Despite his denial, Madara was secretly puzzled. He had only invoked Heavenly Obstacle Star once. Why were there so many meteors descending now?

Regardless of the source, the result would accelerate his ultimate goal—massive casualties would flood the battlefield with ambient chakra, expediting the Ten-Tails' transformation into its complete form.

---

"Everyone, gather near me!" Hashirama commanded, his booming voice cutting through the din of chaos.

He knew the sheer number of meteors would be impossible to stop entirely, even for him. The best course of action was to focus his efforts on a single area to protect as many people as possible.

"Cowards!" Tobirama growled. "Dealing with Obito and Madara is bad enough, and now this?"

Despite his grumbling, Tobirama immediately sprang into action. Using Flying Thunder God, he darted around the battlefield, teleporting Allied shinobi to Hashirama's position.

Minato joined the effort, his own mastery of space-time techniques allowing him to rescue those furthest away from the impact zones.

Their combined efforts saved hundreds, but it was only a fraction of the total forces present. Many more remained trapped outside the safe zone, unable to escape in time.

---

Back on the battlefield, Obito allowed himself a brief moment of reprieve, taking advantage of the chaos to regroup.

"Well done, Obito."

A voice from behind caused him to tense. He turned to see none other than Madara standing beside him, arms crossed and an inscrutable expression on his face.

"Madara," Obito replied curtly, his tone devoid of emotion.

Though he outwardly maintained his composure, Obito's unease was evident. Madara's sudden arrival was both a blessing and a threat. While the legendary Uchiha's presence bolstered their chances of completing the Moon's Eye Plan, it also reminded Obito of his subordinate status.

For now, he said nothing, choosing to focus on the task at hand.

---

"Sage Art: True Several Thousand Hands!"

As the countless meteors began to breach the atmosphere, Hashirama knew he couldn't afford to wait any longer.

With a mighty roar, he summoned his ultimate technique. A gargantuan wooden statue erupted from the earth, its many arms extending skyward to meet the incoming onslaught.

The wooden colossus stood tall enough to dwarf the Allied Shinobi Forces below, radiating an aura of divine strength.

For the terrified shinobi on the ground, it was a beacon of hope. Cheers erupted as the statue unleashed a flurry of punches, shattering meteor after meteor with deafening booms.

Dust and debris filled the air, but none of the projectiles reached the ground.

"That's the power of the God of Shinobi!" someone shouted in awe.

"Unbelievable," another murmured. "He's protecting us all by himself."

For a moment, morale soared.

---

But Hashirama could not defend everywhere at once.

While he successfully shielded the core of the Allied Forces, the sheer scale of the meteor storm meant that other areas were left vulnerable.

Beyond the statue's reach, countless meteors crashed into the ground, leaving devastation in their wake. Entire units of shinobi were obliterated, their chakra dissipating into the atmosphere.

As the dust settled, the battlefield was eerily silent. What remained of the Allied Shinobi Forces stared in disbelief at the carnage around them.

Then came the sound that shattered the stillness—a deep, guttural roar.

---

From within the crater left by the destruction, the Ten-Tails emerged.

Its transformation was complete.

Bathed in the crimson glow of the moon, its monstrous form exuded an aura of apocalyptic power. Its ten tails lashed violently, each swing sending shockwaves through the air.

For the first time, it unleashed its true might, gathering chakra for a devastating Tailed Beast Bomb.

"Hashirama!" Tobirama shouted. "We're out of time!"

Hashirama's gaze hardened. He nodded, his resolve unshaken.

"I'll stop it, no matter what," he declared.

The battle against the fully awakened Ten-Tails had begun.
