Naruto: God Reborn

Chapter 21: 21

Chapter 25

Yagura's chakra shroud flared violently as his Version 2 form stabilized. His entire body was engulfed in a crimson, bubbling cloak of bijuu energy, jagged spikes of chakra protruding from his back, and his eyes glowing with a menacing crimson light. He stood taller, his movements radiating barely restrained destruction.

The battlefield paused briefly, both Yagura's forces and the rebels watching in awe and trepidation.

Aizen stood unfazed, his eye sharp, analyzing every detail of Yagura's transformation. Gin stepped back slightly, his usual smirk intact. "My, my, he's all fired up now," Gin drawled, retracting Shinsō into its sealed state for a moment.

Yagura growled, his voice guttural and distorted. "You think you're untouchable? Let me show you the power of a jinchūriki!" With explosive speed, he surged forward, the ground cracking under the force of his movement.

Aizen tilted his head slightly, sidestepping Yagura's clawed strike. The air trembled as the attack passed, carving a deep trench into the battlefield. Aizen countered with a calm but precise swing of his Zanpakutō, aiming for Yagura's exposed side.

The blade connected with the chakra cloak but didn't penetrate fully, the corrosive bijuu energy resisting the strike. Aizen's eye narrowed as he registered the resistance, and with a faint smile, he pressed forward, releasing a burst of Reiatsu that forced Yagura to retreat a step.

"Is that all your rage amounts to?" Aizen taunted, his voice calm and patronizing.

---

Before Yagura could respond, Gin darted in, his movements a blur as Shinsō extended again. The blade struck rapidly from multiple angles, creating a web of silver streaks around Yagura.

Yagura roared, swiping at the incoming strikes with his claws. Though several hits were deflected, some managed to penetrate his skin.

Yagura retaliated with a spinning sweep of his tails, forcing Gin to leap back. The tails extended unnaturally, pursuing Gin with feral speed. Gin dodged effortlessly, using his Shunpo to stay ahead, his laughter echoing through the battlefield.

"You'll have to do better than that, Yagura-sama," Gin teased, his tone dripping with mockery.

---

While the two Shinigami dueled the Mizukage. The others continued their fight against Yagura's forces.

Mei weaved through seals, unleashing a deadly Lava Release: Lava Bullet, which struck a group of Yagura's shinobi attempting to flank. Her attacks forced the loyalists to scatter, though they regrouped quickly, their discipline evident.

Zabuza carved a path through the enemy ranks, his massive blade cleaving through shinobi with brutal efficiency. He locked eyes with a particularly skilled swordsman from Yagura's forces, engaging in a vicious duel that pushed both combatants to their limits.

Haku created an intricate dome of ice mirrors, trapping several enemies. From within, he struck with pinpoint precision, his senbon needles incapacitating targets without fail.

Anko, ever the wild card, unleashed a flurry of snake summons, her laughter echoing as her serpents coiled around and subdued her foes. She darted through the chaos, her kunai flashing as she incapacitated those who escaped Haku's traps.

Ao, acting as the rebel's strategist, barked orders while keeping his Byakugan active, pinpointing hidden threats and coordinating countermeasures.

---

Back at the epicenter, Aizen and Yagura clashed again. Yagura lunged, his claws aiming to tear through Aizen, but the latter parried effortlessly.

"Hadō #63: Raikōhō," Aizen intoned, releasing a massive bolt of yellow energy. Yagura countered with a concentrated Bijuu Bomb, the two attacks colliding mid-air in a deafening explosion that shook the battlefield.

The force sent shockwaves rippling outward, knocking over shinobi on both sides. Smoke and debris filled the air, obscuring vision.

From the smoke, Yagura charged again, his speed even greater now. He unleashed a flurry of swipes, his chakra cloak distorting as he attacked with reckless abandon. Aizen dodged and blocked with ease, his demeanor unchanging.

"You're strong, but reckless," Aizen commented, his blade glowing faintly. He stepped into Yagura's next attack, deflecting the claw with his Zanpakutō before delivering a precise slash across Yagura's shoulder.

Yagura howled, his chakra flaring in retaliation. His tails lashed out, forcing Aizen to retreat momentarily.

Taking advantage of the opening, Gin darted in. "Now, let's see how you handle this," he said, his tone light but his intent deadly.

Shinsō extended at blinding speed, piercing through Yagura's body. The corrosive energy hissed as it met Gin's Reiatsu-infused blade.

Yagura snarled, swiping at Gin, who jumped back with his usual ease. "Feisty, aren't ya?" Gin chuckled.

---

Yagura's chakra surged again, his form becoming more unstable. His movements grew more erratic, his attacks more powerful but less precise.

Aizen noticed immediately. "He's losing control. This will end soon."

Raising his hand, Aizen began chanting another spell. "Bakudō #81: Dankū." A translucent barrier materialized, blocking one of Yagura's wild strikes. The barrier shattered but absorbed enough force for Aizen to counter with another Kido, this time releasing a barrage of fiery blasts that struck Yagura head-on.

Gin followed up with another rapid strikes, his blade carving through the weakened sections of Yagura's cloak. The combined assault forced Yagura to his knees, his chakra cloak flickering as his body struggled to maintain the transformation.

---

Meanwhile, the rebel forces were gaining ground. Mei unleashed a devastating Boil Release: Skilled Mist Technique, creating a corrosive fog that forced Yagura's remaining forces to retreat.

Zabuza finally overpowered his opponent, the sound of his blade sinking into flesh marking the end of the duel. "Rebels, push forward!" he roared, his voice rallying his comrades.

Haku and Anko worked in perfect tandem, eliminating the remaining threats with precision and efficiency.

---

Aizen stood before Yagura, his expression calm but authoritative. "You fought well, but this is the end."

Yagura growled, trying to rise, but Gin appeared behind him, Shinsō poised at his neck. "Stay down, would ya? You'll only make it worse," Gin said, his smile never faltering.

The chapter ends with Aizen raising his blade, ready to deliver the final blow, as Yagura's forces began to crumble around them.
