Naruto: Imitation Ninja

Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Saki and Teru

Xingliu brought over two girls who looked like sisters. The elder sister exuded a cool demeanor, while the younger one, slightly shorter, hid timidly behind her. Even without much thought, it was clear she was an extremely shy girl. However, her gaze never strayed from Tsunade's… assets.

The elder sister, noticing Tsunade hadn't responded, spoke again, "Hey, girl! Isn't it boring just standing by the table? Don't you want to join an exhilarating game?"

"Eh? Is she talking to me?" Tsunade looked at the cool girl in confusion. At her age, being referred to as a "girl" felt rather misplaced.

"Don't bother looking around. I'm talking to you," the cool girl said decisively, walking toward Tsunade with her sister in tow.

"It's rare to meet someone like you at the mahjong table. Not playing a round would be an affront to the God of Mahjong."

Although the shy younger sister said nothing, her wide, expectant eyes were fixed on Tsunade, silently pleading for her to agree.

"Fine, fine. If you two were boys, I'd have walked away already…" Tsunade sighed. But facing these two radiant young girls, even someone her age couldn't resist agreeing.

"Yay~! Someone's finally willing to play mahjong with us!" The two girls jumped for joy at her agreement, shedding their previous air of coolness and timidity.

However, their innocent demeanor didn't last long. The moment they sat at the mahjong table, their cuteness vanished entirely.

"Ron! 200! 400!"

"Ron! 400! 800!"

"Ron! 12,000!"

With a series of consecutive winning hands, the cool elder sister managed to knock Tsunade out of the game during the sixth round with a massive hand.

"What the hell!" Xingliu was stunned. In just over ten minutes, the entire four-round mahjong game had ended—and with someone being outright eliminated, no less.

"Again, again! I can't believe that aside from this big brother, both Saki-chan and Tsunade are so weak at mahjong!"

"I was just warming up!"

At some point, the cool elder sister's right hand began emanating a spiral-like energy. Yet, even with his Sharingan, Xingliu couldn't detect any chakra properties.

Was this the girl's innate talent?

Wait… What did the elder sister call her younger sister just now? Xingliu replayed the moment in his mind and remembered the name: Saki-chan?!

"Gulp—"

Hearing this name, Xingliu immediately thought of the fearsome mahjong player from a certain famous Japanese anime—the legendary demon queen known for her rinshan kaihou strategy.

As the next round began, Xingliu quickly realized who these two were based on.

"Kan! Self-draw! Rinshan self-draw! 4,000! 8,000!" With Saki's final rinshan kaihou, she brought her score back to ±0.

"Not bad, Saki-chan. I didn't expect you to manage a ±0 here."

As her elder sister, Teru had been playing at full power from the start. However, midway through, both Xingliu and Tsunade had disrupted her passive strategy with consecutive terminal-less hands. This match had already wrapped up the east and south rounds.

"Hehe, it's all thanks to my sister that I'm so good…" Saki giggled shyly when praised by her sister.

Case closed! Who would've thought that the two girls Xingliu randomly encountered in a gambling den were Saki and Teru from Saki!

But wait, wasn't this supposed to be the Naruto world? How did two characters completely unrelated to the series suddenly appear here?

While Xingliu was lost in thought, Saki-chan, eager to start the next game, gently tugged on his sleeve with a soft, shy voice.

"B-Big brother, can we play another round of mahjong together… please?"

Her sweet, coquettish tone, coupled with her bashful expression, was more than Xingliu, a self-proclaimed LSP, could handle. He quickly pushed his tiles forward, speeding up his shuffling.

"Wow… Looks like big brother here has a thing for my little sister," Teru teased as she watched Xingliu spring into action.

"Pfft… Hahaha!" Unlike Xingliu, whose face had darkened significantly, Tsunade burst out laughing, pounding the table as though she'd discovered a new joke.

Thankfully, Tsunade held back her monstrous strength. Otherwise, there was no way the small mahjong table could've withstood her legendary power, which had sent countless ninja flying.

"Alright, alright. After this game, I need to get back to saving lives," Xingliu said reluctantly. "Otherwise, my older brother will chew me out…"

But before he could finish, a familiar voice interrupted him from behind.

"Thank heavens! I can't believe Xingliu-sama still remembers there's a patient waiting for you to return and save them!" Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, had appeared behind Xingliu with a gentle yet exasperated expression, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"I seem to recall telling you last night to make yourself useful. Instead, while others were fighting Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshigaki, you went to find a teacher for Naruto. And now, you've abandoned everyone in the hospital to gamble with two girls in a den?"

Xingliu couldn't refute Minato's words. But then, a thought struck him, and his eyes lit up as he turned to Tsunade.

"Hey, that's not true at all! Who said I'm slacking? This is all part of my mission!" Xingliu puffed up his chest, his tone growing louder with confidence.

"Don't you see who's sitting in front of me? This is none other than the legendary Tsunade Senju, one of the Three Sannin!"

"I'm sure you've heard the tale of how her medical skills single-handedly kept their team alive against all odds. With her on the scene, Kakashi's little ailment is as good as cured!"
