Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Xingliu Intervenes
Uchiha Obito, who had already departed earlier, now hovered above the skies of Konoha.
"Rin, I will make the entire world perish with you."
"Let's start here," he muttered as he pulled a freshly extracted Nine-Tails from his sleeve.
"Come, Nine-Tails. Show me if you're truly as formidable as the legends claim!"
The tiny Nine-Tails, initially no bigger than a palm, suddenly expanded into a towering behemoth larger than a building. Aside from its Sharingan-imbued eyes, it looked identical to the mythical fox of lore.
Awooo—
A dark, glowing energy sphere began to form in the Nine-Tails' mouth. It slowly compressed into a dense ball of destruction.
"Let the foolish ninjas of Konoha witness your might!"
Under Obito's control, the Nine-Tails unleashed a Tailed Beast Bomb, obliterating everything in its path.
"Am I too late?"
Minato Namikaze gazed at the wreckage of the village ahead, his expression pained as he confronted the masked Uchiha Obito.
"Stop this, Obito. Don't let your foolishness go any further."
Obito looked at his former teacher, memories flooding back—missions completed under Minato's guidance, times spent with Rin and Kakashi.
But the ambush by enemy ninjas from another village had taken Rin's life and nearly his own.
"Sensei, do you still think this world of shinobi is worth protecting?"
Without waiting for Minato's response, Obito glanced at the ruins of Konoha, where rescue efforts were underway.
"Are the endless conflicts between villages really so important? Even if we fight on, all that remains is hatred."
"And so..." Obito turned back to Minato, his voice resolute. "I will destroy this ignorant world of shinobi and rebuild a better one!"
"Hey, Obito, do you realize this behavior would be called 'edgy' in my world?"
A voice suddenly interrupted, and a figure flashed beside Minato. Initially on guard, Minato relaxed when he recognized the newcomer, his surprise giving way to a knowing smile.
"No matter how much you destroy and rebuild, Rin will never come back."
Xingliu's words hit Obito like a hammer, his expression darkening as he was forced to confront the truth.
"Shut up! What do you know?" Obito's voice quivered with fury, then softened into despair. "If it weren't for the damned wars between villages, Rin wouldn't have been captured... wouldn't have died at Kakashi's hands..."
"Ah, seems Madara really fooled you," Xingliu muttered to himself.
As someone with knowledge of the "script," Xingliu knew this was all part of Madara's manipulations. Obito was nothing more than another pawn in his game.
"Sensei, and you, the nameless man... Have you both decided to stand in my way?"
Obito's gaze sharpened. Facing just Minato alone was already challenging, but now there was this enigmatic figure, one who had no chakra yet radiated a presence even more terrifying than his teacher's.
"We're standing right in front of you. Isn't that obvious?" Xingliu scoffed. "Do you even have the guts to fight, or are you just all talk?"
"And shouldn't you be heading home? Your teacher's wife just gave birth, after all." Xingliu casually cleaned his ear while speaking.
"If you're so eager to die, let me grant your wish!"
At that moment, the Nine-Tails' eyes gleamed with the Sharingan's power. In an instant, it lunged at Xingliu, raising a massive fist to strike him down.
But Xingliu sighed, shaking his head. "Is that all you've got?"
As the Nine-Tails' massive paw smashed down, it hit nothing but air. Glancing around, the beast realized Xingliu had somehow appeared behind it.
"This Nine-Tails needs to step aside for now. If it keeps thrashing about, it might cause serious erosion."
With that, Xingliu sealed the Nine-Tails inside a wooden box he had created on the spot.
"It's cuter like this," he said, peering through a small hole in the box at the now palm-sized Nine-Tails.
"What are you?" Obito demanded. "How can you break my Sharingan's control over the Nine-Tails?"
Xingliu smiled, pointing at himself in mock surprise. "Me? I'm just a passing Kamen Rider."
"So, now that you've lost the Nine-Tails, are you still up for a fight?"
Obito hesitated. Even with the Nine-Tails under his control, defeating both Minato and Xingliu was nearly impossible. Now, without the beast, there was no chance.
"This isn't the time. I'll settle this another day."
With those words, Obito disappeared, his body fading into the vortex of his mask.
"Phew... The poor guy being used as a pawn is finally gone," Xingliu said with a sigh of relief. If the fight had continued, even he might not have been able to handle the situation.
"Xingliu, why are you here? I told you to stay with Kushina," Minato said, patting his shoulder.
"Kushina's fine. Both mother and child are safe." Xingliu smiled.
"I even healed the injuries caused by losing the Nine-Tails."
Skeptical at first, Minato used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport to the ceremonial platform. There, they saw Kushina cradling a baby boy, gently rocking him to sleep.
