Chapter 24: Becoming Team 7's Instructor [1]
Yoruichi stood before minato, ready to make his choice.
"Yoruichi, you choose first," Minato said with a smile.
Yoruichi grinned. "Then I'll go with Team 7."
The Will of Fire was truly present everywhere.
Team 7 was the team that would change the world.
Obito, who had once been the weakest, became Madara's pawn and eventually took on a major role in the village's future.
And Kakashi, too, played an essential part in things.
Yoruichi wondered, would his arrival change the course of history for Team 7?
If Obito hadn't been injured so badly at the Battle of the Kannabi Bridge, would he have gone down a different path?
If Yoruichi could control the three-tailed beast inside Rin, could he have prevented the tragedy?
And what about the death of Konoha's White Fang?
Yoruichi found these questions interesting.
Minato sighed when he saw Yoruichi choose Team 7. He had always favored this team.
But seeing Yoruichi's decision made him feel strangely empty.
Yet, Minato nodded and said, "Alright, you can go to Team 7."
Yoruichi raised an eyebrow. "What about you?"
Minato smiled. "I'll choose the last team. You go ahead and gather your students first. By the way, this is the "Shinobi Instructors Guide.". Take a look."
Yoruichi took the "Shinobi Instructor's Guide" and casually flipped it open.
"Where the leaves fly, the fire endures. The fire will continue to shine on the village, helping new leaves to grow."
Yoruichi rolled his eyes, staring at the author on the cover: Hiruzen Sarutobi. He recognized the phrase, something the Third Hokage always said. It had become the village's motto.
Yoruichi flipped through the guide. The first section focused on being a teacher. The main points were clear: to teach, a teacher must be able, inclusive, and possess noble character. You must lead by example to guide students toward becoming better people.
Then, the guide moved on to how to train students. The goal was to train them into capable ninjas—whether they became genin, chunin, or even jonin, so they could fight on the battlefield.
First, students would need to go through survival exercises, where they would learn teamwork and survival skills.
...
Yoruichi scanned the guide. It looked familiar.
"Well... Let's just go and meet them," Yoruichi muttered as he shrugged it off.
---
Yoruichi stood outside the door of the classroom. He could hear a girl's voice inside.
"Obito, why hasn't our teacher come yet?" Rin asked.
"I don't know," came the reply. Obito's voice.
"Maybe he's helping his grandmother cross the street?" Kakashi teased.
Obito's voice turned defensive. "What's that supposed to mean?!"
Kakashi, already bored with Obito, ignored him. "Seriously, that excuse is getting old."
Yoruichi smirked and stepped in.
"Hello, I'm your instructor," he said, surveying the three students in front of him.
He blinked, slightly surprised. The kids in front of him looked... young. Way too young. They looked like they were still in elementary school.
Rin was the first to speak. "Hello, teacher!" she said sweetly.
Obito, with his goggles and messy hair, gave a reluctant greeting. "Hello, teacher."
Obito was thinking, This guy seems kinda dumb, like Kakashi.
Finally, Kakashi, masked and mysterious, greeted Yoruichi in his usual way. "Hello, teacher."
Yoruichi nodded. "Alright, let's introduce ourselves."
The three students spoke in unison. "Teacher, you go first."
