Hiruzen took a long drag of his pipe. "I'm already aware of that. Frankly, Gentarō and Kazashi went too far."

Koharu pressed on. "I've already compensated the shop owner for their losses. Besides, the injuries were only superficial."

"But when I sent Fugaku to retrieve them, Uchiha Mirai outright refused!"

Hiruzen raised an eyebrow. "Oh? What did he say?"

Homura replied hastily. "Mirai declared that Gentarō and Kazashi would be confined for half a month. He even said, 'If someone has to compromise, why shouldn't it be you?'"

Hiruzen sighed heavily. It did sound like something Mirai would say.

Danzo's voice turned cold. "Hiruzen, this blatant provocation cannot be ignored. If we let this slide, not only will the Uchiha become unruly, but the other clans may grow restless as well."

Koharu and Homura nodded in agreement. "This needs to be addressed. Uchiha Mirai must provide an explanation."

After a moment of silence, Hiruzen spoke in a low tone.

"Danzo, take a team to the police force and retrieve the detainees."

Danzo smirked triumphantly. "Understood. Leave it to me."

Evening

When Uchiha Mirai returned home, he found Uchiha Shisui waiting quietly at the door.

"Hey, Shisui!" Mirai greeted with a smile.

Shisui bowed respectfully. "Mirai-senpai."

"Come on in. Let's talk inside."

"Yes."

Once they were seated in the room, Mirai asked, "Shisui, how's your time in the police force been so far?"

After the Third Shinobi World War, under Mirai's guidance, Shisui had graduated early and joined the Konoha Police Force, setting him on a completely different path from the original story.

Then his expression turned serious. "I heard Fugaku came to the police force today. Did he cause trouble?"

Mirai nodded. "He did, but I sent him packing."

Shisui's eyes darkened dangerously. "Mirai-senpai, why not just eliminate Fugaku? The Uchiha deserve a leader like you."

Mirai smiled faintly. "Fugaku poses no threat to me. I can end him whenever I choose, but I have my own plans."

Killing Fugaku was easy. What Mirai wanted was for Fugaku to witness the Hokage faction crushed beneath his feet. Only then would he see the look on Fugaku's face.

Shisui quickly apologized. "I'm sorry, Mirai-senpai. That was out of line."
