NARUTO: THE STRONGEST UZUMAKI

Chapter 15: General Zombie

When he thought he would need to convert HP into MP by throwing the last stone at a zombie's head, he leveled up.

  • [You leveled up!]

"Refreshing…" he murmured.

The feeling of all exhaustion disappearing upon leveling up could become addictive, especially for him, as he replenished all the MP he had spent.

'Level 28.' He thought: 'Just two more levels and I'll be able to create the ghost dungeon.'

Now that his MP was fully recovered, he made several stones levitate and used 'Precise Throw.'

Several stone projectiles were hurled into the sky. They were like gunfire.

Because of the new skill he had acquired, critical hits increased to 9 out of 10.

[You Gained 1,930 EXP!]
[You Gained 2,490 EXP!]
[You Gained 1,770 EXP!]
[You....]

  • [You leveled up in <Precise Throw>.]
    [You leveled up in <Psychokinesis>.]

There were a total of twenty EXP gain notifications. With a single activation of the Precise Throw skill, he felt like he was cheating by using Psychokinesis at the same time.

As long as he had indirect contact with the stones, all the stones he could make levitate were affected by the Precise Throw skill activation.

If this were a standard game, this would be the moment a game administrator would appear upon discovering this bug and would change the number of stones he could throw simultaneously when activating this skill.

'That won't happen, right?'

He felt like he was raising a flag by thinking about it.

'For now, I want to prioritize leveling up these skills.'

Whether due to the ease of use in this place where he could kill many zombies using these skills, it was also true that he wished these skills were at a higher level, especially Psychokinesis.

He made several stones levitate while walking calmly. This place gave him no sense of danger. The simple fact that he could kill zombies so easily made him feel relaxed in this area.

When half of a zombie's body was out of the ground, he threw the stone at its head, aiming at the weak point.

Zombie LV20
HP: [2,000/ 2,000]

[Critical Hit!]

[You Gained 1,690 EXP!]

'Oh? Even without using Precise Throw, I managed to get a headshot on the zombie.'

But, if he thought about it for a moment, it made sense. Since it was a critical hit, with the added passive skill Critical Hit and the zombie being only level 20, it made perfect sense.

'By the way, once again, I managed to recover 5% of MP and HP thanks to the passive skill; Critical Hit...'

It should be a 10% chance, 1 in 10 critical hits, however, he had many favorable factors that contributed to this achievement.

'One question, if I use shadow clones, will I still gain EXP if they kill?'

With this question in mind, he made a hand seal while murmuring in his mind: 'Shadow Clone.'

The instant a clone appeared, he stood still.

By the way, he still hadn't tested the extent of the shadow clones he created.

For now, he would first test if he would receive EXP.

He watched in third person as his clone used Psychokinesis to throw two stones at a zombie's head.

[You Gained 2,810 EXP!]

Touching his chin, he calmly thought: "I see, I can still gain EXP, but I didn't see any change in the skill increases. Either it will all be accumulated when I dispel the clone, or maybe not even then…"

Making a hand seal, he dispelled the clone. When he saw the Psychokinesis skill EXP bar increase slightly, he smiled: "So, it's just like in the original storyline; the gains from the clone only go to the main body when the clone is dispelled."

Making hand seals again, this time he created 4 shadow clones.

With the sound of smoke bombs, four identical clones appeared next to him.

Each of the clones tried to make the system page appear, but there was no result.

'Well, I expected it not to work...'

However, when he thought that no options would be possible, he saw one of the clones manage to open the inventory.

'This in itself would enable many things...' He began to think about the possibility of using ninja tools from the inventory while one of his clones restocked. Even with stones, as long as it was something he could use with Psychokinesis and Precise Throw.

  • [You gained 1 WIS for continuously having wise ideas]

He didn't think it was a wise thought, but who was he to complain?

As he stood still, he let his clones do the hard work.

While analyzing everything from the side.

[You received the title <Apprentice Zombie Hunter>]

[Apprentice Zombie Hunter]

[Obtained by defeating 50 zombies]

[You have a special talent and interest in exterminating zombies!]

[Become a Zombie Hunter and eradicate the Zombies!]

Bonus for having the title active:

  • [30% increase in damage against Zombies]
  • [30% increase in defense against Zombie attacks]
  • [+5 to all stats when attacking Zombies]

As his clones killed the zombies, he saw this notice appear in the form of an ocean-blue holographic page.

Opening his stats and going to titles, he changed it simply.

Suddenly, the ground began to tremble and, not far away, a fissure opened in the ground, and he saw enormous hands emerging.

The hands were at least 5 times larger than an adult man's hands.

As the fissure in the ground opened further, something jumped out of it.

<Miniboss>

LV35 <Zombie General>
HP: [18,200/18,200]

"Holy shit?!"

He swallowed hard just seeing the miniboss's HP. The appearance of one was not something he didn't expect, since it was a dungeon, he wasn't surprised to see such a thing, but the HP value still took him by surprise.

However, just because he was a bit surprised didn't mean he let it affect him for long. Staying calm, he, along with the shadow clones, controlled several stones that floated: "Use the Precise Throw skill."

He didn't really need to say it, as they shared identical thoughts being his clones.

"Whoosh!"

The sounds of stones being thrown echoed, and soon, the miniboss, who was five times larger than an adult man of 170 cm in height.

"Roarrr!!!"

A roar came from the mouth of the Zombie General as he began to run toward them with firm and heavy steps.

With each step, the ground trembled slightly. Although slow due to its long legs, the Zombie General was getting closer to them.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

[You inflicted 889 damage]

Without stopping, he continued to throw stones at the miniboss.

The miniboss's defense was robust compared to conventional zombies and had a very high health regeneration, recovering around 100 HP every second.

However, since he was five in total with the shadow clones, his constant attacks drained the Zombie General's health to less than 90% before it even got within 5 meters of him.

However, something the Zombie General did made him shout: "Stop attacking!"

The Zombie General grabbed a zombie at random, and then he saw the Zombie General open its mouth wide and swallow the zombie, restoring more than 2,000 of its health.

"Wow! That was disgusting." He grumbled in disgust.

Seeing the Zombie General chew while its HP regenerated gave him a new perspective on the world. Although it was gross, the fact that it could recover over 2,000 HP, no matter how disgusting it was, was quite useful, especially since such things shouldn't even exist for a Zombie General.

When he saw the Zombie General try to grab another zombie, he simply threw a stone with Precise Throw, hitting the zombie's head.

"Bang!"

[Critical Hit!]

[You inflicted 5,565 damage]

  • [You leveled up in <Critical Hit>.]

[You Gained 1,750 EXP!]

While his clones stopped attacking, he made 22 stones float, and using Precise Throw, he hurled the stones.

22x "Whoosh!"

22x "Bang! ..."

13x [Critical Hit!]

"ROOOARRR!"

The Zombie General roared, and when a stone hit its mouth, it began to dissolve into a disgusting slime before transforming into dark smoke like burning tires.

  • [You leveled up in <Precise Throw>.]

[You Gained 28,900 EXP!]

"Although its health was high, it was easier than I expected..." As Tanaka murmured, another page appeared.

  • [You obtained <Soul Stone – Rank C> x1]
  • [You obtained <Recovery Potion – Rank D> x2]
  • [You obtained <Skill Book: Energy Drain - Rank B> x1]
  • [You obtained 100,000 ryō]

"..."

His mind experienced a slight delay.

"Incredible!" His eyes sparkled.

Not only did he get conventional game items, but he also obtained an absurd amount of money. This amount was equivalent to completing an A-rank mission. And not all A-rank missions would provide this amount; sometimes only S-rank missions would yield this much ryō.
