Naruto : The ultimate Troublemaker

Chapter 111: Izumi's Death

"Shikai, what's this?!"

Before she could examine it further, Shikai grabbed her by the shoulders.

"Forget about it. Where are your parents? They must be in danger. We have to find them immediately."

Izumi, still in shock, nodded.

"Yes... Yes, you're right. Help me find them."

They ran together through the dark alleys. Chaos reigned. The bodies of clan members lay motionless, while flames licked at the silent houses.

They quickly found Izumi's mother, who was hiding in a ruined house.

"Izumi! You're still alive! Thank you, Shikai, for being here. We have to flee."

Izumi nodded, turning to Shikai. But something in his expression disturbed her.

His face was cold. No emotion showed.

"Shi... Shikai?"

A deep fear rose within her. She suddenly remembered the rumors surrounding the man she loved. Shikai Nara, a feared assassin in the shinobi world.

Before she could react, blood gushed forth.

Shikai's hand had plunged into her mother's chest. The body collapsed to the ground with a dull thud, leaving Izumi frozen, her face splattered with blood. Her eyes widened in shock, trembling with disbelief.

"But... Shikai! Why?!"

Shikai stared at her, impassive, his eyes analyzing hers.

"Not even three tomoe..." he murmured, visibly disappointed.

He sighed.

"You were good in bed despite your inexperience. I did everything to help you awaken your Mangekyō Sharingan, but you're too disappointing....finally... No one must know I was here."

A blade of black chakra appeared in his hand.

"Shikai, it's not you! I must be in an illusion... It's impossible..."

Shikai remained silent. The blade pierced his chest with surgical precision.

Izumi coughed, blood flowing from her mouth. She raised a trembling hand to touch Shikai's cheek.

"My suspicions seemed... unfortunately, well-founded..." she murmured, tears streaming down her face.

Shikai's expression suddenly changed as he saw her eyes.

Izumi's right eye changed pattern, a Mangekyō Sharingan forming. But her left eye turned white.

"Damn it!"

Before he could react, the world around him shifted. Izanami had activated.

He immediately understood that he was trapped, locked in an eternal illusion created by Izumi's sacrifice. Every attempt to break the cycle failed, bringing him back to the same starting point.

"Izumi... even in death, you trap me."

On a rooftop not far from the massacre, a clone of Shikai observed Izumi Uchiha's corpse coldly.

He sighed, observing the bloody marks on her motionless body.

"Fortunately, it was a clone," he said calmly, as the first clone dissipated in a cloud of smoke.

This was not the end of the show. No, it was all part of a much larger plan. Yet, he could not ignore a hint of bitterness as he looked at Izumi, a woman who, unexpectedly, had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.

He placed two fingers on her forehead after forming a mudra. A soft light enveloped Izumi's body as he used a memory reading technique. Her memories flowed into his mind like a river, each image and emotion etching itself into his consciousness.

...

In the fragments of memory, he saw Fugaku, his face grave, speaking to Izumi.

"I know you've awakened your Mangekyō Sharingan, learning that Shikai was the cause of Shisui's suicide. This makes you stronger if you wish to avenge him, but it also puts you in danger. Listen to me carefully, Izumi. Shikai... he's not who you think he is. He's a pawn of the village leaders. It was he who pushed Shisui to commit suicide."

Izumi, devastated, refused to believe it. But Fugaku insisted, showing her proof.

"Never tell him you know. He could kill you."

Despite this, Izumi's love for Shikai overcame her fear. Even knowing his true intentions, she had not left him, hoping there was still a fragment of humanity within him.

The next scene showed Izumi running desperately towards her house. Her father, a man with no direct ties to the clan, was not there, but she hoped to save her mother. She had seen Shikai that night, in a compromising position. Had he come for a secret mission from Danzō or Hiruzen?

Izumi had trusted Shikai nonetheless. She believed he would use the Hiraishin to save her family. But she had seen that cold look, devoid of all emotion, that had preceded her mother's brutal death before her eyes.

Shikai's clone opened its eyes.

"She knew..." he murmured.

Silence fell, but his mind whirled.

"She was in love... And yet, she tried to trap me in her Izanami at the last moment. Instead of trying to kill me... Love, like hate, is useless. It consumes you from within and drives you to make the worst choices."

He averted his gaze from the corpse, his expression hardening.

"I suppose my original body is in place. Let's begin the show."

Not far away, Itachi was kneeling before his parents. Mikoto, her face ravaged by sadness, stood near Fugaku, whose gaze was resolute.

"Do what you must, Itachi," Fugaku said in a calm voice.

Itachi, his eyes shining with tears, clenched his teeth before plunging his blade into his father's chest. He withdrew the weapon, blood flowing onto the ground.

As he prepared to do the same to his mother, an explosion sounded in the distance.

*Boom*

"Madara? No, he wouldn't make a sound... maybe resistance," Itachi murmured before disappearing in a cloud of crows.

He reappeared at the site of the explosion and saw Izumi's body lying on the ground. Her eyes were open, frozen in an expression of determination mixed with pain.

"She had already reached this level..." Itachi murmured, bending over her.

He noticed the exhaustion in her features and the activation of Izanami.

"But Madara gave her no chance."

He gently closed her eyes, a respectful gesture towards a fallen comrade.

Then a voice sounded behind him.

"Itachi! What does this mean?"
