Chapter 92: Taijutsu Fighting
The wind blew gently over the deserted training grounds, carrying the palpable tension that hung in the air. Gai Maito stood proudly, a flamboyant smile illuminating his face. Facing him, Shikai Nara adopted a precise martial stance, his muscles tense, ready to engage in a memorable battle.
"I feel the vigor of your youth, Shikai! Let's show on this field what the true art of taijutsu means!" Gai exclaimed, his overflowing energy lighting up his features.
Shikai merely narrowed his eyes, evaluating his opponent with care. He knew that the slightest misstep against this man could be costly.

The battle began with an explosion of energy. Gai rushed forward first, launching a series of punches with impressive speed. Shikai parried them with almost surgical precision, his body keeping up with the frenzied pace set by his opponent.
"Let's go!" Gai exclaimed as he followed up with a circular kick aimed at Shikai's ribs.
Shikai dodged just in time by bending down and counterattacked with a swift hook, aiming for Gai's flank. But the latter pivoted with disconcerting ease, almost grabbing Shikai's wrist to try and throw him.
Shikai, agile, used the momentum to spin around and deliver an ascending kick towards Gai's jaw, causing him to jump back to avoid the attack.
Seeing that Gai had the advantage in brute strength, Shikai opted for a more tactical approach. He activated a special technique designed to disrupt his opponent's cerebral flow.
Gai stumbled for a moment, his movements becoming disordered.
"A mental attack?! No, he's disrupting my cerebral flow! Interesting!" Gai exclaimed, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
In a matter of seconds, he closed his eyes, controlled his breathing, and drew upon his incredible strength to regain his composure.
"You'll have to do better than that, young Nara!" he said, getting back into position, ready to intensify the fight.
Gai redoubled his efforts, his strikes becoming more precise and powerful. He delivered a pendulum kick aimed at Shikai's head, which the latter blocked with his forearms. The impact resonated in the air, and Shikai took several steps back, his arms numb.
"You're fast, but your defense is still too weak," Gai declared before feinting with a punch and then delivering a knee strike straight into Shikai's abdomen.
Shikai grimaced but immediately retaliated with a low kick, aiming for Gai's ankle. The latter jumped to avoid the attack and followed up with a heel kick that narrowly missed Shikai's head.
"It's time to intensify this battle!" Gai exclaimed, raising his arms before opening the fifth inner gate, the gate of pain.
A surge of brute strength emanated from his body, and the training ground seemed to tremble under the pressure of his chakra. Shikai, who had managed to keep up with the pace so far, found himself overwhelmed by Gai's speed and strength.
"Impossible... He's become even faster," Shikai murmured as he tried to dodge a punch.
But Gai gave him no respite. Each attack was a blend of power and precision. Shikai was forced to activate *Cellular Activation*, boosting his strength and speed, as well as his movement technique, *Yellow Flash*, to stand up to this formidable opponent.
The two ninjas moved so fast that they seemed to disappear from the eyes of an ordinary spectator. Their fists and feet clashed with incredible intensity.
Shikai attempted a feint, delivering a circular kick to divert Gai's attention before striking with an uppercut. But Gai, always one step ahead, blocked the attack with his elbow and retaliated with a powerful knee strike that made Shikai stagger.
"You're impressive, Shikai! But your youth still needs to be polished!" Gai exclaimed as he unleashed a series of blows so fast that Shikai couldn't block them all.
Regaining his composure, Shikai delivered a heel kick with all his might, his legs emitting a yellow flash. The impact literally shattered the training ground, sending up a cloud of dirt and stone.
Gai jumped back, admiring the intensity of the attack. "Magnificent! Your youth shines with a brilliant light!"
But despite this display of strength, Shikai was accumulating injuries. Bruises marked his arms and torso, and he was limping slightly after narrowly dodging another strike from Gai.
Gai, seeing that Shikai was starting to tire, decided to put an end to the exchange. He delivered a rotary kick, so powerful that it broke Shikai's guard and sent him flying to the ground.
Shikai tried to get up, but a sinister crack sounded. He grimaced as he looked at his arm, now unusable.
"A broken arm?!" he murmured.
Gai, still smiling, extended a hand to help his opponent rise. "You have raw talent, Shikai. With some training, your taijutsu could even rival Kakashi's! But today, the power of youth prevails!"
Shikai, despite his injuries, couldn't help but smile. "I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Gai-sensei."
