Naruto : The ultimate Troublemaker

Chapter 94: Yamanaka Family

Mikoto, despite her initial determination, surrendered to the wave of desire. Her cheeks flushed, but she couldn't resist the intoxicating sensation, feeling like a woman again after years of being Fugaku's servant. She let herself go, her hands resting on Shikai's neck, her nails slightly digging into his skin.

But suddenly, Mikoto came to her senses. Her cheeks still red, she pushed Shikai away, her Sharingan three tomoe inadvertently activated.

"Stop, Shikai!" she exclaimed, her trembling voice betraying her turmoil. "I can't let myself go like this..."

Shikai, surprised by her reaction, froze. He felt disappointment wash over him, but he understood Mikoto's inner struggle. He withdrew his hands, his eyes reflecting infinite sadness.

"I'm sorry, Mikoto. I couldn't hold back anymore," he said in a soft, soothing voice.

Mikoto, tears in her eyes, made her way to the door. She turned around one last time, her gaze filled with regret and desire.

"I'm sorry, Shikai. I can't... I don't want to hurt you," she said.

She left, slamming the door, leaving Shikai alone.

On the other side of the door, Mikoto leaned against the wall, breathing heavily. She felt guilt wash over her, her heart pounding. She knew she had made the right decision, but the desire for Shikai still burned within her.

"I can't, I mustn't..." she murmured, tears streaming down her cheeks.

She walked away, her heart heavy, promising never to return. But deep down, she knew that this encounter had awakened a flame that she might never be able to extinguish.

Back in his office, Shikai packed up his scrolls and papers with a casual gesture, his thoughts heavy and scattered. He didn't seem like someone who should be heartbroken.

Once he had everything in order, he decided to head to the hospital wing to check on Kushina, as had become his habit. After a brief visit and some lighthearted exchanges with the fiery redhead, he crossed paths with Shizune, his long-time assistant.

"Shizune, it's time to go. The day has been long enough," he said calmly, masking any trace of emotion.

"Yes, Shikai-san," she replied with a professional smile, though she noticed the fatigue in his eyes.

Back home, Shikai decided that a cold bath would be the best remedy to clear his mind. The icy water soothed the tensions in his body. Once clean, he put on some casual clothes and decided to pay a visit to the Yamanaka clan.

The Yamanaka estate was peaceful as always, enveloped in a mystical serenity. The vast fields of flowers, bathed in the soft light of dusk, stretched between the houses. The wind carried a light, soothing fragrance.

Shikai walked down the main path with a tranquil familiarity. It wasn't his first time here, but he couldn't help but admire the calm beauty of the place. 'So quiet... almost unreal,' he thought.

Arriving at a well-maintained house, he knocked softly on the door. After a moment, Suzune Yamanaka, Inoichi's wife, opened the door.

"Suzune-san," he greeted with a respectful smile.

"Shikai-san," she replied in a calm voice, true to her reserved nature. She stepped aside to let him enter.

Shikai stepped inside, immediately noticing the delicious scent of freshly prepared food. A well-set table was laid out in the main room.

"You always arrive at the right time," a jovial voice said. Inoichi, the head of the family, emerged from the kitchen with a wide smile.

"Ah, Inoichi-san," Shikai replied, nodding his head. "I couldn't miss a meal here, you know."

Inoichi laughed, patting Shikai's shoulder before inviting him to take a seat. "It's funny, I was just thinking of coming to see you. There's something I wanted to talk to you about."

Shikai, curious, simply nodded and sat down at the table. However, his attention was briefly captured by the young girl sitting silently on the other side of the table.

Ino Yamanaka was unusually quiet that evening. Usually, she would find a thousand reasons to draw attention or make a sharp comment, but this time, she seemed almost shy.

'So, this is the famous Shikai that dad talks about all the time?' she thought, swallowing discreetly. She remembered hearing her father praise the impressive feats and skills of this shinobi, but she had never imagined he would be so... young.

Ino recalled with a slight unease the disparaging comments she had made about him during a previous conversation. She didn't know if he had heard about them, but she sincerely hoped that wasn't the case.

Inoichi broke the silence by placing a bottle of sake on the table. "So, Shikai, tell me, how's life been lately? I haven't seen you in a while."

Shikai took a sip of sake before responding. "As always, busy juggling my responsibilities. But I suppose that's the lot of every shinobi."

Inoichi nodded, looking pensive. "I wanted to talk to you about that. I heard you've recently been involved in something quite... delicate."

Shikai raised an eyebrow. "Rumors, I assume?"

Inoichi smiled slightly. "Let's just say that in this village, nothing stays secret for long."

Shikai sighed, but his smile remained unchanged. "I figured as much. But I'd rather not talk about those subjects for now. Tonight, I'm here to relax."

Suzune served the dishes with silent efficiency, and soon, the table was filled with appetizing food. Shikai, ever polite, warmly thanked Suzune for her efforts before focusing on the meal.

During dinner, the conversation was light and relaxed, although Shikai couldn't help but notice Ino's occasional glance. When their eyes briefly met, she quickly looked away, her cheeks turning a rosy shade of embarrassment.

The meal was peaceful, the table laden with various dishes prepared by Suzune. Shikai ate calmly, savoring each bite with an apparent serenity. Yet, he couldn't ignore the strange atmosphere, particularly Ino's palpable nervousness.

Suzune, as always, remained silent and graceful, but her gaze occasionally shifted from Shikai to Ino with a hint of curiosity.

Then, Inoichi broke the silence, setting down his empty bowl with a satisfied smile.

"Shikai," he began, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "You know, it would really make me happy if you became an official member of this family."
