Chapter 47: The

Incoming Ambush

"Ahaha! Is that so? I completely forgot about

it!" Naruto said, embarrassed, touching the back of his head.

Sasuke glanced at Naruto with a look of disdain. Menma,

however, found this completely normal. If Naruto didn't act this way, he

wouldn't be Naruto. Despite a different identity and situation in this life,

Naruto's essence hadn't changed—he remained the optimistic and carefree

character.

"Naruto, you still need to remember these things

carefully. Just like Sakura said, the five ninja villages mentioned are the

five major countries recognized in the ninja world. But there are also many

small country ninja villages like Kusagakure, Takigakure, Amegakure, and

Yugakure. The ninjas from these villages are regular ninjas too, but the gap

compared to the five major countries, including Konoha, is vast. Only the

Kazekage," Kakashi explained, gently patting Naruto's head.

in me! I won't lose to anyone if I work hard!" Naruto raised his head and

declared loudly.

As he spoke, he glanced at Menma and Sasuke standing

nearby. After all, in the Ninja Academy, the three of them often competed to be

the best. However, while Naruto and Sasuke often vied for top spots, Menma

always outperformed them, consistently taking first place.

Both Sasuke and Menma noticed Naruto's glance. Menma

remained calm, while Sasuke snorted and glanced at Menma.

mission. Knowing Kakashi's status as a Jonin and learning Naruto's identity as

would be completed successfully.

After a few hours of traveling, Team 7 had completely left

the safety of the Hidden Leaf Village and was heading steadily towards the

southeast coast border of the Land of Fire. The group, led by Kakashi,

proceeded cautiously along a path flanked by dense trees on both sides.

Kakashi, walking at the front, noticed something amiss.

Suddenly, two figures dressed in black cloaks and wearing

respirators sprang from the bushes, moving with alarming speed. Before most of

the team could react, the attackers were upon Kakashi, positioning themselves

strategically. A thick, dark iron chain emerged between the attackers, wrapping

tightly around Kakashi. With a synchronized pull, they seemingly tore Kakashi

apart. Blood splattered everywhere, creating a gruesome scene.

"Kakashi-sensei!?" Sakura screamed, unable to

restrain herself as she witnessed the horrific sight. The young ninjas,

unaccustomed to such brutality, were stunned. Watching their instructor

seemingly killed in such a manner deeply affected Sakura's spirit, paralyzing

her momentarily.

The attackers, having 'killed' Kakashi, shifted their

attention to Menma, Naruto, and the others. Chakra burst from their feet as

they quickly approached.

While Sakura stood frozen, Menma and Sasuke reacted

swiftly, driven by their past experiences. Both had witnessed the tragic deaths

of their parents, making them resilient to such scenes. They moved in sync,

meeting the attackers head-on. Their clear division of labor and coordinated

attacks easily blocked the initial assault.

"!?" The attackers were taken aback by the quick

and strong response from these rookie Genin. The unexpected reaction hinted at

the Genins' strength. Realizing the danger, the attackers tried to distance

themselves.

"Hmph!" Menma snorted, unleashing a massive burst

of chakra. The force from his side pushed the attacker back. "Not

good!" The attacker's face changed as he felt Menma's powerful

suppression. In a swift move, Menma broke the attacker's blocking posture,

overpowering him with fierce strength.
