Naruto:The avenger of the uzumaki clan

Chapter 51: Incomprehensible

Chapter

51: Incomprehensible

Naruto's answer suited his

personality perfectly—full of passion and justice. But from Menma's

perspective, it was the stupidest answer. At that moment, Menma felt deeply

disappointed in his younger brother. Menma didn't flaunt being right or just,

but he valued the friendship between companions. Naruto, his biological

brother, shared the same blood, even if Naruto didn't know it. This connection

made Menma care about him deeply.

Menma's path was self-interested,

but he also valued his companions' trust. He hoped that Naruto would one day

choose to stand by his side in special situations, rather than pursuing mutual

respect and understanding like in the original story. However, the current

Naruto and the original Uzumaki Naruto seemed almost identical, which troubled

Menma. He found his brother's stance foolish and saw a troubling future for

them both.

Menma felt the urge to punch Naruto,

wanting to wake him up. He took a deep breath, calming his anger. Naruto's

determination was clear. Haruno Sakura, however, wasn't as strong and brave.

Before Shippuden, she was entirely different from the capable person she became

later. Now, she was overflowing with sympathy for Tazuna, not realizing the

dangers.

When Menma pointed out the risks,

fear crept into Sakura's heart. She was the weakest in Class 7, and if Gato, a

powerful businessman, hired skilled ninjas, Kakashi might not protect them all.

Sakura flinched, unable to face death bravely. Though silent, her attitude was

clear—she couldn't speak up, restrained by fear.

"Naruto, you guy!" Menma

was more annoyed by Naruto's stubbornness. Why was his brother so inflexible?

"Hey, Naruto-kun, you don't

need to insist anymore. Menma-kun is right. I deceived you. Our team shouldn't

have taken this mission. You should give up the mission," Dazuna, who had

been silent, spoke up, admitting his deceit.

"Old man Tazuna, I have already

said that this is my nindo!" Naruto insisted, shaking his head.

"Brother Kakashi, I want to continue this mission and protect Mr. Tazuna

until the bridge is completed."

Naruto knew he couldn't convince

Menma with 'ninja rules.' He understood Menma's point might be more

appropriate, but he wanted to follow his heart and what he believed was right.

"Okay, Naruto, I didn't say I

wouldn't continue the mission," Kakashi said, playfully slapping Naruto's

head.

"Eh? Brother Kakashi, what do

you mean?" Naruto asked, looking happy. Menma's expression turned weird.

He had laid out the situation clearly, yet Kakashi insisted on continuing the

mission. Either Kakashi had a different reason, or something else was at play.

"Kakashi-sensei, why?"

Menma didn't hide his doubts, looking directly at Kakashi.

"A ninja giving up a mission

affects our evaluation, Menma. This is your first C-rank mission, so it's best

to complete it. I've considered the risks, and it's not easy to hire a jonin. I

can protect you," Kakashi said confidently. As a renowned jonin, Kakashi

had the capability to handle many threats.

Menma still couldn't understand why

Kakashi would risk their team. Even with confidence, this decision seemed off.

But Kakashi showed no intention of further explanation, making Menma frown.

"I knew Brother Kakashi would

never give up the mission," Naruto said happily. Sakura looked uneasy but

restrained herself from speaking. Sasuke remained calm, finding sense in

Menma's words but not fearing danger. He believed ninjas must face trials to

grow truly.
