Netori Master: Reborn with a Netori System!

Chapter 6 – Akira 2

Before I could calm the girl down, I decided to take a look at her status.

She had no class yet and all her stats were at 1, except for Charisma with 3.

However, if there were Sense, Smell or Hearing stats, she would have them pretty high simply because she was half beast.

When I managed to calm her down, we introduced ourselves and I took her to the Hotel, so she could tell me about her problem.

When I took a good look at her, I realized that she was a Snow Leopard, an almost extinct species, to the point that one would suspect slavery just to see a Snow Leopard next to a human.

I covered Akira with my hoodie and carried her to the Hotel.

I was quite surprised that she trusted me so much just because I had the same scent as her mother.

The only ones living in the suite are me, Kristia and her daughter Lia, so there will be no inconvenience in having her there.

Getting off the elevator, I went into the suite and put Akira down on the comfortable couch, but she had already fallen asleep.

I sighed and picked her up again, carrying her to my room. I was going to be using the computer, and it would be best if I was around when she woke up in case she freaked out again.

I tried to remove her hoodie, but she was clinging to it fiercely, so I gave up, leaving her lying on the bed.

I sighed slightly as I sat down in front of the computer before starting.

I didn't need to download any applications because they came by default, so I immediately opened the same application for programming that I had on my phone but in PC version.

Although creating an account was not necessary to program, it was necessary to have the same file in both the mobile and PC versions.

Once the account was created, I was ready to go.

I already had a clear idea about what I wanted and with the knowledge of the Grand Master, I lost track of time after pressing a few keys.

A mini-forum is what I plan to create, but it will not be public.

I will use the mini-forum for many things; chats, profiles, galleries and many other things. However, most importantly, a hierarchy.

I have no doubt that I will end up having a harem with the type of system I have, and I don't think the number of women will be low.

I don't want situations where everything gets out of control, but I'm not going to impose anything either.

Initially, I will create some basic ranks, which will be modified with the intervention of the girls in the future. They will be more comfortable if they actively participate in ways to create a hierarchy.

And since I am not prejudiced toward any social class, the harem is likely to be quite varied in principles, character, and abilities.

Even if I ask them to treat each other equally, factions are still going to exist between them. So I'm simply going to set everything up beforehand.

And if none of that works out, I'll simply use the forum as a method of communication and fun.

My fingers were dancing on the keys when I heard a noise, almost a meow, coming from the bed.

Looking in that direction, I found Akira stretching lazily with the hood still on her head, covering her ears.

She rubbed her eyes, looking around, quickly finding me.

Her eyes twinkled before she jumped out of bed and ran to me. The hoodie reached past her feet, but she had no inconvenience as she ran.

"Good morning~!" She jumped onto my lap as she squealed happily.

What's wrong with this girl...? It puzzled me that she could be so relaxed in an unfamiliar environment, but I came to the conclusion that happy Akira was better than sad Akira.

"Good morning, did you sleep well?" I asked, stroking the girl's head and not mentioning the fact that it was almost 4 o'clock in the afternoon.

She narrowed her eyes in happiness. "HeHe~ Yes! I slept well! But..." she rubbed her stomach. "...I'm hungry."

"Okay, I'll take care of that." I replied, but before I got up, I saved the file to my account library. When I want to program on the phone, I would simply have to open the library file.

"Is there anything special you'd like to eat?" I asked as I looked at the girl.

"Meat!" Akira said excitedly, and her furry tail popped out from under my hoodie to sway back and forth.

My lips curled up. "Okay, wait here," after saying that, I stood up and walked over to the screen next to the door.

I turned on the screen and many pictures of dishes appeared on it. I selected simple meals; pork chop, roast beef and fries. The amount for four people, just in case. Once that was done, I sent the order.

After signaling Akira to wait, I left the room. The speed of food delivery depends on the room placing the order, and in my case it is usually only a few minutes.

Walking slowly down the luxurious hallway, I reached the elevator doors. Not even a few seconds later, the doors open, revealing a hotel staff with two food carts.

This is usually done by Kristia, but since she is carrying out my order, it's my turn to do it. I guess that's why the male hotel staff was a bit surprised to see me, but he quickly regained his composure.

"Lord Zedrick!" He greeted with a bow.

"Good job, I'll take the food from here," I replied as I stepped aside for the guy to get the carts out of the elevator before heading back down.

The food carts were not large despite their size, and I easily carried them to my room.

When I opened the door, I found Akira looking out the large windows as she peeked around the corner of the curtain.

She turned when she saw me, her eyes shining. "Zed! All those people look tiny from here! Hehe~" her childish laughter echoed in the room.

I smiled and walked into the room, sighing inwardly relieved. Akira called me "dad" for a while, her reasoning being that since I smelled just like her mother, I should be her father. Strange thing, after all, she seems to know her real father.

Putting those thoughts aside, I walked over to the table between the two large windows.

I placed the trays on the table and removed the lids, attracting the girl's attention immediately.

"Woooah!" Akira exclaimed in surprise when she saw the food.

The meats were steaming and looked like they would melt just by coming in contact with saliva.

Akira drooled and swallowed noisily, making me smile.

I grabbed two plates and silverware from the bottom of the cart and served food.

Akira looked droolingly at the pork chop on the plate and then looked at me.

"You can start whenever you want," I said as I sat down.

Akira skipped the thank you before each meal that was typical of the eastern lands and took a big bite of the cutlet.

"Hmmm~ Delicious~!" that was the last thing she said before concentrating solely on the food.

I nodded and started eating as well.

When we finished eating, I managed to convince Akira to tell me her story.

As I had predicted, she is from the eastern lands, the Terunain Kingdom to be exact. However, she did not live in the capital, but in a mountainous area called the White Mountains.

The name sounded familiar and after a moment's thought I asked to confirm.

"The White Mountains is that big mountain range right across from the Endless Forest, right?" Akira nodded enthusiastically.

"That's right! You can take me there! Can you!?" Akira jumped in her seat as she asked.

Rubbing my chin, I replied, "Well.... It's going to be a little difficult now." she deflated when she heard that, and tears were starting to form in her eyes.

"But it's not impossible, Akira, so don't get upset yet," I said, calming the girl down. "For now, tell me how you ended up inside the box and so far from home." She nodded at my request and continued with the story.

The White Mountains were pretty far from this place, I can't imagine how she got here. She didn't look battered or dirty when I found her, either, so I don't think it had been too long since her abduction.

The Endless Forest, despite its name, does have a limit. However, it is big and dangerous enough to take weeks to go from the Terunain Kingdom to the Silverhearth Kingdom (where I am currently), and that's considering that the trip is made through the outer zone.

But Akira has no idea how it happened either.

She had an argument with her mother and ran away from the house in a fit of rage. Akira started crying as she recounted that part, so I let her sit on my lap.

Continuing, she didn't head for the mountain town when she escaped, but ran into the forest, but never made it there.

Akira was running through the small clearing that separated the forest from the mountain when her vision went black.

"...And I woke up when I felt a big thump, but I smelled mommy's scent, so I tried to get out and well, da- cof... Zed knows the rest." Akira finished in a slightly nervous voice.

Patting her head, I analyzed everything she said, coming to the conclusion that teleportation magic was involved. Kind of weird, but there were many types of skills with the same effects as long as they were used correctly.

The reason for the kidnapping is obvious to me; slavery. Slavery was illegal depending on the race and, naturally, the realm in question.

In Silverhearth sales of beastskins, elves, fairies and some other races that have good relations with us are forbidden. However, illegality is no impediment for the most powerful.
