New life with a sci-fi system

Chapter 124: 121

Power Girl POV (following Julian)

A miniature star at least twice the size of Gotham appeared out of nowhere. It's very existence seemed to defy the laws of reality. I could feel the heat and light energy flowing through my Kryptonian physiology telling this was real; yet nothing was a scorching disaster as should be. The tall grass didn't burn and nearby water didn't evaporate, not even the few small critters seemed affected negatively. Even the gravity around it wasn't affected by it's presence like it wasn't even there.

I couldn't watch from a distance anymore I needed answers and I wasn't alone. The Bat family was a few kilometers away and were heading this way along with Diana. I could see Kal and Super Girl as well as a few others not to far behind from our reality. From the alternate reality side I noticed the Avengers jet, Iron man, captain Marvel and the Fantastic Four I'm sure there are others but I needed to take action.

I flew down directly to Julian and the woman in front of him neither seemed surprised or reacted to my presence and continued whatever it was they were doing.

Power Girl: Julian! What is going on?

"We're preparing a ritual"

Power Girl: I meant specifically what are you up to and why did you just create a star

....

MC'S POV

Essentially I am white lantern except more primal and not bound by its rules or beholden to it's power. My power is completely my own as I will it I can do anything. I haven't heard anything about black lanterns so it likely hasn't happened yet and presence is likely suppressing the possibility. Technically what I am about to do might reverse this as the ritual turn Selene will likely transform her into a goddess of death like she was in comics. So when Power Girl said she wanted specifics I didn't have a good answer that wouldn't lead to a fight. I was stalling until a portal opened up and once again Dr Strange popped out.

Dr Strange: I would also like to know what you intend on doing with your newly made star?

"I think you should have approximate knowledge about what is going on Sorcerer"

Power Girl: Stop stalling and just be clear what are you up to?

"I am going to use this star to forcibly ascend Selene into a goddess"

Power Girl: That doesn't make sense

"The star I created is a literal ball of life-force I'm going to use a combination of force sorcerery and alchemy to bind it to Selene"

Selene: Once it becomes bound to me I will convert the resulting power into divinity and become a goddess as according to Julian is what the world designed me for.

The heroes that gathered were shocked by our explanation especially the last bit at the end. No one immediately tried to attack but they seemed hesitant about letting me continue. There was nothing that could be claimed as evil as all that was happening wasn't inherently wrong although it did rub the religious the wrong way.

Wonder Woman and the goddesses seemed somewhat distressed and doubtful of my plans. They were given the task of seduction to join one of their pantheons yet I getting another to join my harem. Worse still I hadn't summoned a goddess this time I intended to create my own. It was thing to call out to an existing goddess it was another to actually create one. Unsure of how to proceed they decided to observe for now and hoped for my failure as they couldn't justify stopping me.

While others were stuck with indecision Selene and I continued setting up the ritual that would bind her with me and make her a goddess. We didn't know how much time we would have until someone came to their senses and would try to interfere. There was also the lingering tension between them from the last time they Justice League members attempted to kill me. I began the ritual on my end using the Force to shrink down and convert the star into usable power for Selene channeling it directly into her. I knew that we were likely going to succeed as a cosmic voyeur known as a watcher appeared.
