Novice Reincarnator

Chapter 7: Failed Start

I spent two days in the hospital before I was allowed to leave. Cain showed up on the second day and informed me that he had enrolled me in Saint Mikhael Explorer Academy, the most prestigious Explorer Academy in the Upper Realm.

A lower race with a Common talent like me didn’t belong in that exclusive pool of talent, but being a Demon was all that mattered. All Demons and Angels were enrolled in Saint Mikhael Explorer Academy.

The person that saved me in the dungeon also went to Saint Mikhael Explorer Academy. Apparently, her name was Cecilia Snowlight, a Legendary Archangel known as the Untouchable Empress. Since the number of Legendary talents could be counted on two hands, I had been saved by a rather important girl.

Much to my horror, my skill [Weak Bladder] manifested itself in horrible ways. I had to dash to the bathroom as soon as I felt like I needed to pee or else I would wet myself.

I had not gotten a single good night’s worth of sleep since arriving in the Upper Realm. I relived that terrifying moment when the Crystalline Colossus tried to kill me everytime I slept. With my skill factored in, that meant I always woke up with a wet bed.

It was an embarrassing and humiliating two days. The snickers I got from one Elder Human patient and his friends were unbearable. Elder Humans had [Appraisal III], which allowed them to peek at a person’s skills.

Appraising other people was considered a rude act, but the young boy didn’t seem to care about that as he openly mocked me for my [Weak Bladder] skill.

Becoming a Demon girl hadn’t noticeably changed my life from when I was a Human male. I had to sit down to use the toilet and my breasts kept getting in my way, but that was about it. My short height bothered me more than turning into a girl.

Even though I turned down Cain’s offer to become his adopted daughter, that did not dampen his enthusiasm in helping me move into my new 1 person on-campus dorm. Within half a day, I had a fully furnished dorm with plenty of food. I was set for my new life and all that was left was to start attending classes tomorrow as a transfer student.

That evening, I made the mistake of looking up information about my benefactor, Cecilia Snowlight. Her popularity and fame surpassed even that of Leo. There were hundreds of videos of her exploring different dungeons.

It would be an international incident if anything happened to the Angels or Demons attending the academy in the depths of the dungeon where the law couldn’t reach. As such, Saint Mikhael Explorer Academy had a special rule that explorers must broadcast their movements within dungeons at all times as a security measure.

Yes, even the day I was saved was captured on video and shared with the entire Upper Realm.

“Lololol, she pissed herself!”

“Look at the knockers on that girl!”

“Big breasted loli! Big breasted loli!”

“Pissing Princess!”

“Hahaha, how lame!”

Cecilia’s dungeon diving broadcasts always had over 50,000 viewers watching her live. Millions watched the recordings of her livestream. My classmates and everyone I talked to from this point forward would know I had pissed myself from fright in the dungeon.

The goblin blood that covered my body made it hard to make out my exact appearance, but a big-breasted shorty like me wouldn’t be hard to identify. I didn’t sleep well that night and I lethargically prepared myself to go to classes the next day.

I threw my wet bed sheets into the washer and made my way to the bathroom. I couldn’t find the motivation to take a shower, so I gave up on that and sprayed some freshener on me. Breakfast was simple and after using the bathroom one last time, I was ready to start my new life.

I stepped to the front door and grabbed the door handle. My heart pounded in my chest and cold sweat dripped down my back.

“H-Huh?”

My hand refused to open the door. The words I read the previous day flashed to the forefront of my mind.

“Lololol, she pissed herself!”

“Pissing Princess!”

“Hahaha, how lame!”

“No, it isn’t like that.”

Anyone would have wet themselves if they were put in my position. Unfortunately, the mocking voices wouldn’t go away no matter how much I argued to myself. The more I thought about that day in the dungeon, the more fear festered in my heart.

I almost died in my first dungeon exploration. Did I really want to hurry up and seek death once more? It would be much safer for me if I stayed quiet in the confines of my small dorm room. A wicked voice whispered quietly to me in my heart.

It was okay. I was still new to being a girl and an explorer. I could go to school once I grew more accustomed to my new life. There was nothing wrong with me taking a break to recuperate.

My hand left the handle of the door and I turned back to my room. Today was a rest day. Tomorrow…
