Chapter 50
[Thank you for the 1,000 KRW donation, OO!]
But why suddenly a 24-hour broadcast?? Is it really for us…?
“Haha, well, the truth is…”
Why am I suddenly doing a 24-hour broadcast?
No, it’s not sudden.
This has actually been planned since about a month ago…
“You remember the guitar promise, right? I couldn’t play it perfectly.”
I managed about 90%, but it was a bit much to play it flawlessly.
And I just didn’t feel motivated to practice.
Well, I was having a blast during the variety show shooting, wasn’t I?
Later, I thought that if I go ahead and do the full song on my personal broadcast, wouldn’t that confirm it too much?
Those thoughts kept distracting me.
-What a clever ploy, damn lol
-Thought I liked it for no reason
-Still, keeping promises is something
-Let’s just fill it up for now
“Alright, first, 8 hours of deep sleep.”
Saying that, I filled the time from 12 AM to 8 AM with deep sleep.
-???
-Why sleep..?
-Should be 24 hours
-Aren’t we supposed to do “Dwitch” sleep streams?
“Eh…? Are you planning to kill me..?”
-Eh, what is this?
-Ha…
“You have to sleep to maintain your energy. Plus, they changed the rules this time, and it’s okay to do so.”
Naturally, I had quite a lengthy meeting with my manager about this 24-hour broadcast.
Starting from what format to use.
They say that accidents could happen, so I prepared thoroughly.
-Hmm..
-Okay for now
-Fill it in some more
Then, I filled in the times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
“And since I’ll cook all three meals here, that leaves about 13 hours, minus about 3 hours.”
-Hey, it’s not like this is taxes, why the fuss?
-If that’s the case, then make Miro’s stream at 1 PM.
-Me
-Lolk
I thought this was somewhat reasonable, but the public sentiment was still strong.
…Maybe I should’ve practiced my guitar a bit more?
“Come on, can’t you judge me a bit nicely? Why the grumbling? Is saying that too much?”
-Too much? What a joke lol
-You’re being ridiculous lol
-Now it’s just a forced chuckle
-I admit it, Miro, you’re the no.1 in shamelessness in the Celestial Realm.
-You need to have some guts to succeed in broadcasting, right..
“Alright, great. Let’s do this.”
I pulled out a roulette.
It was pre-made, but I said it like a generous offer.
“Put everything you want in here. Whatever comes out will definitely go on the schedule.”
Of course, I wouldn’t include any ridiculous requests.
Still, I was prepared for whatever came, even if a horror game or some other trash game came up, I was ready to tackle it.
-Kyaa lol
-This is for real, right?
-I trust you
-If you’re joking here, then your wrist is gone
“I’m not joking. Why would I do such a thing?”
-Eh
-To be honest, I can’t say no to that
-Weren’t you the one who broke trust?
…What did I do?
Haven’t I been broadcasting quite honestly?
[Thank you for the 10,000 KRW donation, Master Miro!]
But during meal times, are you just going to leave to eat? Abandoning the viewers?
“Ah, I’m not that cruel of a broadcaster. Naturally, I’ll do a cooking broadcast and eat.”
Since I’m back at my family home, the kitchen is big, and I have plenty of ingredients, so it’s perfect for a cooking broadcast.
I can’t exactly cook anything special, but… I can follow a recipe, right?
On the day of the 24-hour broadcast, Mrs. Jang and Manager Kim are going on a couple’s retreat fully paid for by their devoted daughter.
It means I can broadcast however I want in the empty house.
-Kyaa lol
-You’re really domestic
-Miro, your partner grade is perfect!
-Be my wife
-Hand camera???
As for using a hand camera… I discussed that thoroughly with my manager beforehand.
My manager seemed a bit hesitating but the outcome was obviously okay.
As someone who knows me, they had no reason to reject my request.
“Of course, I’ll turn on the hand camera. I got permission.”
-Kyaa lol
-Dae Hwang Mi Ro
-Seriously, are you turning it on?
“What’s so special about hands?”
Actually, it is special. In Korea, there’s a rule to wear gloves when doing a hand cam.
But, what do I have to hide?
I don’t do nail art or any special care, but I’m Kim Soo-hyun.
Naturally, my hands should be pretty, right?
They’re the kind of hands that’s fair and delicate, not having done a single bit of hard work.
I do have a little callus from playing guitar, but it hardly shows.
-I really believed it…
-You look a bit different today…
-Taking a break has changed you.
-You should take another 10 days off.
“Take more days off? Really?”
-You little punk
-What are you talking about?
-I never said that
-Ban him, he’s acting ridiculous
“Hey, don’t fight amongst yourselves.”
-You started it, didn’t you?
-This guy’s for real lol
“Anyway, I’m collecting candidates to put in the roulette. Please type in the chat.”
As I said that, the chat began pouring in like rain.
It had been a while since I streamed, so the influx of viewers was overwhelming, almost too fast to read.
“It’s going too fast to see! Should I just ask for donations instead? But I need to pause the chat to look, right?”
I dragged the mouse and stopped the chat.
Let’s see, horror games, rhythm games, long-playing strategy games… all sorts of games are pouring in.
I put in everything that caught my eye into the roulette.
[Thank you for the 5,000 KRW donation, OO!]
Please do a song broadcast!
“Songs?”
-Kyaa lol
-Sounds good
-Please do it…
-Aren’t you going to match the price?
Songs? Well… I can put it in for sure. I already sang once before, so it shouldn’t be an issue.
“I’ll add it in.”
-Are you really adding that?
-It’s gonna be a good day!
-Shit, I better charge the bullets lol
“I’m not adding everything, so don’t misunderstand.”
It still has to be something I can actually do.
I ignored weird requests like jumping into the Han River or a national trek, they don’t even count.
[Thank you for the 1,000 KRW donation, OO!]
Please pick viewers and do a squad match!
“A squad match is better random, right? I’ll put that in randomly.”
-Ah
-No way
-Yeah, just shoot your shot
“But I’ll also throw in random duos as a bonus.”
So viewers might actually prefer squad matches with higher odds, huh?
But I prefer random duos since it means fewer villains if there are only two of us, less risk.
[Thank you for the 1,000 KRW donation, OO!]
Let’s level up in League of Legends!
“Leveling up, huh?”
Come to think of it, it’s been a while since I played League.
After becoming a female, I think I played it sometimes, but these days I’m just not that into gaming.
Honestly, streaming, singing, and drawing are way more fun, so I don’t feel the need to play.
Still, gaming is a type of broadcast, so I can add that in too.
“Okay, I’ll add it.”
A bunch of other suggestions came up as well.
Some wanted drawing streams, others wanted the long-unseen ideal type world cup, and many asked for video donations.
Video donations…
It involves sending a video through viewer donations, but… isn’t there a bit of a risk there?
What if someone sends a weird video and my broadcast gets shut down? I feared that, but for now, I put it in.
“Is this enough?”
-It’s good
-So many lol
-Can anyone even see this?
-Please do a song broadcast!
-Okay!
-But how will you manage the time?
“Time management? That’s also random, you know?”
I pulled out another roulette next to me.
It starts from 10 minutes and goes up to a maximum of 3 hours.
“First, we’ll draw what content to do, then I’ll spin this roulette. Exciting, right?”
-Kyaa lol
-What a way to live!
-It’s totally a roulette now!
“Alright, let’s spin it!”
I skimmed through the contents contained in the roulette.
From horror games to viewer games, the ideal type world cup, leveling up in League, randomized duos, squad matches, song broadcasts with some resting in between, video donations, drawing streams, ring fit, strategy games, and more.
I basically threw in anything and everything.
Now, this will change the content of my 24-hour broadcast.
Thankfully, with the meal times here and there, I wouldn’t just have to do things I don’t want to continuously for 13 hours.
“Alright, let’s spin!”
The roulette began to turn, determining my fate.
*
On the day of the 24-hour broadcast.
This broadcast will, of course, be streamed simultaneously on YouTube at the request of The Six.
I heard they are gradually increasing the ratio of activities on YouTube.
It’s been a bit shaky with Dwitch lately, and if they are targeting potential overseas viewers, this makes sense.
My manager said that there have been a few Japanese viewers coming into my broadcasts lately.
It’s likely due to that Japanese VTuber from the random duo.
Well, to begin with, with differing languages, I wasn’t expecting many viewers to come.
But more than that….
I took a deep breath and pressed the broadcast start button.
[Miro 24HR ON]
I’m not sure how many viewers will come.
But it’s the weekend, so maybe more than usual?
If tons of people suddenly joined, I’d feel pressured…
I don’t know. I brought this upon myself, so I have to face it head-on.
Thinking that way, I watched as viewers started to join.
“Oh. Oh.”
What’s going on?
I witnessed, for the first time since I started broadcasting, viewers piling up at unbelievable speed.
“What, what is happening?”
The unit was different.
It wasn’t the units I usually saw.
Four digits behind?
Ten thousand?
Is it really ten thousand?
And that’s just on Dwitch.
On YouTube?
“Huh.”
That’s ten thousand too.
Thirty thousand combined.
An involuntary chuckle escaped as I glanced at the date.
Today is going to be a historical day.
