One Piece: Coby with Skill Weaver System

Chapter 117: ROBIN!

Hello bros and sises! How's everyone doing?

Alright, so I know the last couple of chapters have been a bit repetitive and dragged out, but hear me out. While writing those chapters, I was juggling what to do with CP9. Soooo, I had to stretch things a little, just so I wouldn't need to rewrite later. The other option was not writing at all and waiting to make a decision, but at the time, I was in a writing frenzy, so I just rolled with it. On the bright side, it gave us some pretty cool fight scenes! Hopefully, you guys enjoyed those too.

Secondly, about those technique names—yeah, they're getting long and kinda confusing, huh? Honestly, the idea behind them was simple: "WWLD"—What Would Luffy Do? I just asked myself what Luffy would name his moves, and whatever popped into my head first, I went with it. In hindsight, maybe I overdid it a bit, but hey, they're fun to write!

Anyway, just wanted to say I love you all. Thanks for sticking with me through this crazy ride. Keep it real!

Coby scaled one of the towering pillars on the roof of the Courthouse, the wind whipping through his hair as he took a deep breath. His voice echoed across Enies Lobby as he shouted, "ROBIN! I'VE COME FOR YOU!" The urgency in his voice cut through the noise of battle below.

Inside the Tower of Justice, Robin's eyes widened as she heard his voice. Her hands were bound by seastone cuffs, and the recent beatings from Spandam left her bruised and exhausted. She bit her lip, her mind racing as she processed the reality that her crew had truly come for her. Beside her, Franky grinned wide, his voice full of confidence. "Here they are. Those Straw Hats are something else."

Outside, Luffy launched himself toward Coby using his rubber powers, his body stretching as he reached the top of the pillar to stand beside him. "Coby, you bastard! You stole my lines!" Luffy grumbled, his face a full scowl.

Coby chuckled, eyes still focused on the battlefield. "Haha, sorry Captain. How about you let her know you're here too?"

Luffy wrapped an arm around Coby's shoulder, his voice booming with determination as he shouted, "ROBIN! I AM HERE TOO. WE'LL SAVE YOU IN NO TIME!"

Inside the tower, Franky, who was chained next to Robin, began to transform the cola in his body into gas. His stomach ballooned outward as the pressure built up. With a powerful motion, he wrapped his legs around Robin and blasted a jet of air toward the opposite wall. The force tore his chains apart and shattered the walls, freeing him. As the debris settled, Franky fired his left arm like a cannon at the marines and agents surrounding them, clearing a path. He carried Robin to the balcony, and across the chasm, they spotted Coby and Luffy standing on top of the Courthouse.

Seeing them, Robin's eyes widened in shock. Luffy grinned widely, his arm gripping the pillar, ready to launch himself. "Robin!"

But before he could move, Robin shouted, "WAIT!" Her voice carried anguish and desperation. She closed her eyes, shaking her head. "I've told you several times... I will never come back to you. Go away. I don't want to see your faces ever again!"

Even Franky, caught off guard by her words, stared at her in disbelief. "Huh?"

Robin's voice trembled with emotion as she continued, "Why did you come to rescue me? When did I ask you to do that?" She looked directly at Luffy and Coby, her eyes filled with sorrow. "I just want to die!"

CP9 agents suddenly arrived, they joined Robin on the balcony, their presence threatening and oppressive. Kaku delivered a brutal kick to Franky's face, sending him sprawling.

Luffy looked at Robin, puzzled, as he absentmindedly picked his nose. "You want to die? What the hell are you talking about?" he asked, confusion clear in his voice.

As the rest of the crew climbed their way up to the roof, Luffy didn't wait for Robin's answer. He looked at her with his most earnest expression, and with the confidence that only Luffy could have, he said, "We already came here, so we're going to save you anyway. If you wanna die afterwards, you can do that after we save you." He shrugged, his tone casual despite the gravity of the situation.

Sanji and Chopper joined Luffy on his left, while Nami and Zoro took positions to Coby's right. Sogeking stood next to Zoro, his hand adjusting his mask as he surveyed the scene with intense focus.

Luffy's voice rang out again, this time with more urgency, "I beg of you, Robin. I don't care what you want to do—whether you choose to live or die—but whatever you decide, say it while you're with us!"

Nami, Chopper, and Sanji all nodded in agreement, their voices echoing Luffy's plea. "That's right."

"Robin, return to us!" Nami urged, her voice filled with emotion.

Luffy gave Robin a cool, reassuring look. "Now, leave everything to us," he said, his voice firm.

Spandam, crazed by the sight of the pirates, snarled, "CP9, I permit you to kill them all. Whatever you do, just make them vanish!" He then pulled a golden Den Den Mushi from his pocket, waving it menacingly. "You lowly pirates, do you even know what this is?"

Robin's face twisted in fear as she recognized the device. Spandam noticed her reaction and grinned maliciously. "Yes, that's right! This is what was used on Ohara years ago. It obliterated your hometown!"

Robin said with fear filling her eyes, "If you press that button, you'll be blown up too, along with this island! With everything." she warned, her voice filled with dread.

Spandam scoffed, waving off her concern. "How could I be blown away by an ally's attack? Don't be stupid!" he mocked, his confidence unshaken.

She fell to her knees, her body shaking as the memories overwhelmed her. The devastation, the loss—everything she had tried to bury came rushing back. "How could a person like you know what happened 20 years ago? How people died? How everything I once knew ceased to exist?" Robin's voice trembled as she looked up, her eyes brimming with tears.

"Twenty years ago, just one attack took everything from me and ruined many lives. That is the Buster Call. And now that attack is aimed at the dear nakama I finally found." Her voice quivered as she addressed the crew. "The more I wish to be with you, the more my fate bares its fangs at you. No matter what sea I go to, I have this foe that I cannot shake off. Because my enemy is the world, and its darkness."

Robin's tears streamed down her face as she continued, her voice growing louder with each word. "First the incident with Aokiji, and now this! I have already gotten you involved twice. If this goes on forever, even good-natured people like you will eventually consider me a burden. In time, you will betray and abandon me. That is what I am most afraid of. That is why I didn't want you to come and save me."

Her shoulders shook as she cried, her voice choked with emotion. "If it is a life I will eventually lose, I just want to die right here, right now."

The crew stood in stunned silence, their hearts heavy with the weight of Robin's words. The reality of her pain was undeniable, and it cut through them like a knife. Luffy, who had been watching Robin intently, clenched his fists.

Spandam relished in Robin's pain, laughing cruelly. "Haha, of course, you're a burden with all your troubles." He sneered at Luffy and the others, pointing up at the Government Flag fluttering above the Tower of Justice. "Look at that flag. That's the World Government's Flag. That mark represents the unity of over 170 nations across the four seas and the Grand Line. This is the World! Do you understand how insignificant you are to stand against us? Do you understand how big of an organization is after her?"

Luffy stared at him, unfazed. "I understand her enemy very well." He then turned to Coby, his voice firm. "Coby."

Coby was already ready, his fist blazing with fire. "Shoot that flag," Luffy ordered.

"Aye, aye, Captain," Coby responded without hesitation. With a swift motion, Coby launched a mighty punch, his fist rocketing toward the top of the tower. The fiery fist shot through the air, crashing into the Government's Flag. The impact set it ablaze instantly, the flames consuming the symbol of the World Government in seconds. The charred remnants fluttered down, the ashes scattering in the wind.

The moment the flag caught fire, Spandam's eyes widened in shock and disbelief. "What... What have you done?!" he sputtered, his voice filled with outrage and fear. The flames continued to burn, the once-proud symbol now reduced to nothing more than cinders.

Surviving agents, Marines, and even CP9 looked stunned as the World Government's flag burned into ash. Below the Courthouse, the Marines were bewildered, their eyes wide with disbelief.

"Do you have any idea what they've just done?" one Marine whispered, his voice shaking. "Burning that flag means declaring war. They've really done it. Those pirates have just declared war against the World Government!"

Spandam, standing beside the smoldering remnants of the flag, lost his mind, his face contorted in rage. "You bastards!" he shouted, his voice cracking. "Do you even know what you've just done? You've made the world your enemy! Do you even dream of surviving after this?!"

Luffy retorted with a fierce shout, "I'm happy to live with that!"

His words cut through the chaos, and as he turned to Robin, his voice softened, filled with earnestness. "Robin, I haven't heard from you yet. Say it. Say you wanna live."

PS: OF COURSE Coby stole the flag-burning moment from Sogeking. I mean, come on, it's one of the most epic scenes in all of One Piece! That declaration of war, letting Robin know the crew is ready to go to any lengths to protect her? Absolute perfection.

Honestly, Luffy would've done it himself if he had any kind of ranged fire ability at the time, but sadly, he didn't. So yeah, Coby swooped in and stole the thunder on that one. No regrets, though—it's such an iconic moment, it had to be done justice!
