The wind howled as golden hair fluttered in the breeze. Cold, piercing eyes radiated fury, resembling an enraged lion.

Where legs once were, now gleamed two legendary blades reflecting the sunlight.

Standing atop a tall pagoda, looking down upon the world, was none other than Golden Lion Shiki, one of the three legendary pirates.

Beneath him lay a massive island, with four or five smaller islands of varying sizes floating nearby.

Unlike his previous raid on Marineford, where he attacked with an army of flying ships, Shiki's weapons, this time, were the islands themselves.

"This time, I won't lose to you, Arashi!" Shiki growled, his furious gaze unwavering.

It was easy to imagine the catastrophic destruction if these islands, under his control, were to descend from the heavens.

However, before unleashing his wrath, he needed to locate the G-18 Fortress where Arashi was stationed—a task that would take time.

On the fleet of airships, Vegapunk spoke with excitement.

"I've also studied your Rumble-Rumble Fruit abilities, Arashi. It might be possible to incorporate your lightning-discharge powers into a lineage factor."

He was brimming with ideas, each one a plausible scientific endeavor.

"If I combine that with your martial arts and swordsmanship, the clone created from this lineage factor would possess immense strength from the moment of its creation."

Hearing this, Arashi's mind raced.

Without a doubt, this was the precursor to the Seraphim Vegapunk that would later develop in the original timeline—clones based on the Seven Warlords of the Sea, created using lineage factors.

"Do you want one?" Vegapunk suddenly asked. "I could create a prototype for you as an experiment."

Arashi frowned and voiced his concern. "Would such a clone have independent consciousness?"

"Are you joking?" Vegapunk shot back.

"I'm not a god. True consciousness and a soul would require divine means!"

"At most, I could transfer some of your thoughts and mental traits to give them limited awareness."

Arashi pressed further. "And how about control? Could they rebel?"

"You can relax on that front," Vegapunk assured him confidently.

"They will strictly obey your commands."

"In fact, with the inclusion of your Rumble-Rumble Fruit abilities, such as electromagnetic forces, you could control them remotely."

Hearing this, Arashi's tense expression eased. If the clones were capable of independent rebellion, it would be an unimaginable disaster.

"With that kind of control," Arashi said with a smile, "I'm starting to take an interest in this project."

Arashi considered his Rumble-Rumble Fruit's ability to create lightning puppets.

If the clones could be treated as an extension of that, they would indeed be a valuable new force.

Technology changes the world! Vegapunk's unparalleled intellect was undeniable.

In the future, he would even build weapons for the World Government capable of annihilating entire islands.

Technology was a formidable power in this world, which was why Arashi aimed to keep Vegapunk firmly on his side.

Sometime later, the fleet reached Upper Yard.

"Skypiea?!" Vegapunk exclaimed, his excitement uncontainable. "You've built a research base here? This is amazing!"

Vegapunk's eyes sparkled as he saw the sprawling laboratory in Shandora.

"No one will disturb your experiments here," Arashi assured him.

"The Shandians and native Sky People won't approach, and I'll station an elite guard to protect you."

"This is excellent," Vegapunk said, beaming.

"I like it here!" Then, his gaze shifted mischievously.

"Arashi, you'll have to stay here for a while longer. I need to conduct tests and analyze your lineage factor to improve the clone designs."

Arashi nodded in agreement, willing to "sacrifice" himself for science.

Soon after, Vegapunk fully immersed himself in research.

With the help of his assistants, he quickly set up advanced instruments and organized rare materials.

That afternoon, Vegapunk requested Arashi to demonstrate his powers.

"Discharge your electricity," Vegapunk instructed. "And I'll also need data on your martial arts and swordsmanship."

Arashi complied, choosing an open area where he smashed a mountain with a single punch and sliced the White-White Sea in half with one swing of his sword.

Vegapunk was momentarily stunned but then nodded in satisfaction.

"The stronger you are, the more perfect our Seraphim project will be. In the future, they will become your most powerful artificial weapons."

"Will the Seraphim have my swordsmanship and martial arts?" Arashi asked, curious.

"You're far too strong for them to replicate perfectly," Vegapunk admitted.

"But even achieving 50% of your power would be enough to make them formidable."

Vegapunk marveled at Arashi's abilities. Until that moment, he hadn't fully grasped the extent of his friend's strength.

The data collection left him awestruck. Afterward, Vegapunk extracted tissue samples and blood from Arashi.

"I'll start cultivating the Seraphim immediately. They will embody a portion of your emotions and desires, granting them some degree of autonomy."

Pausing briefly, Vegapunk explained further.

"But don't worry—they are merely your derivatives. At their core, they remain artificial beings, and you'll retain ultimate control over them."

Arashi nodded, intrigued by the novelty of it all and impressed by Vegapunk's rapid progress.

"Because the body is cultivated through DNA engineering, its physical durability might be somewhat lacking," Vegapunk explained.

"I also can't predict the full extent of its potential strength."

Arashi found himself filled with anticipation and decided to remain at the lab for a few extra days.

Five days later, a figure emerged before them—a body standing approximately 1.8 meters tall, with bronzed skin and white hair, its eyes firmly shut.

"You can name him," Vegapunk said with a smile as he began inspecting the figure, tapping its abdomen and limbs periodically.

"Name him?" Arashi's eyes flickered thoughtfully before he spoke two syllables: "Zeus."

Vegapunk paused, then chuckled. "A fine name."

He added, "I still need to make some modifications—like adding a few auxiliary abilities, including limited use of your Rumble-Rumble Fruit powers."

"Of course, replicating the abilities of a Logia Fruit comes with significant challenges."

"I've been researching this for two years and can only partially replicate its properties."

Arashi nodded, intrigued to see how far this brilliant scientist could push his creations.

He watched as Vegapunk skillfully opened the clone's body and installed strange metallic components of unknown origin.

At this point, it was clear: the prototype Seraphim was indeed an artificial human.

Three days later, Vegapunk completed his modifications. The Seraphim opened its eyes, and its piercing gaze sent a chill through everyone present.

Fwoosh! Flames ignited on its back, flickering ominously. Its eyes glowed with a blue-violet hue as if lightning crackled within them.

"My name is Zeus!" it declared in a deep voice. "I represent… evil!"

There was no doubt—this Seraphim embodied a sinister presence.

Arashi quickly realized he felt an inexplicable connection to Zeus, as if it had been born from his bloodline.

With just a thought, he could command the Seraphim to act.

"Quick, test his abilities, Arashi!" Vegapunk urged.

Arashi nodded and willed Zeus to move. Instantly, the Seraphim's form blurred as it dashed out of the base.

Surrounded by flashes of lightning, its speed was astonishing.

However, Arashi immediately discerned that Zeus lacked Logia's intangibility and couldn't achieve his full top speed.

Zeus conjured a blade of lightning with a simple hand gesture.

With a swift motion, it struck out with a punch that generated a powerful gust of wind, followed by a slash that tore through the White-White Sea, leaving a distinct chasm.

"Martial arts and swordsmanship at about 60% of my strength," Arashi observed.

"Additionally, it has Lunarian traits, allowing it to use flames to boost its speed. As for the Rumble-Rumble Fruit abilities, those are still limited."

Zeus continued to unleash techniques as Vegapunk eagerly recorded the data.

Moments later, Zeus flashed with lightning and reappeared directly before Arashi. Without hesitation, Arashi struck out.

Boom! The clash sent Zeus flying backward.

"Its physical durability only reaches about 20% of mine," Arashi noted. "It also can't use Haki."

Taking a step forward, Arashi moved in a blur, closing the gap to Zeus. With a casual punch, Zeus tilted its head slightly, dodging with precision.

Its back flames flared, and its speed increased as it nimbly evaded Arashi's attacks.

"Impressive!" Arashi admitted.

"Thanks to scientific advancements, it can calculate and predict an opponent's timing with near-perfect accuracy, combined with electromagnetic field manipulation."

"This precision rivals Observation Haki."

"In that regard," he added, "it's even better than me."

As Arashi increased his attack speed, Zeus continued to evade flawlessly.

Vegapunk stood to the side, furiously jotting notes, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"This is only the prototype Seraphim!" Vegapunk exclaimed.

"And yet, it's already so powerful! The combination of lineage factors and artificial humanity is indeed a success."

"If we could gather more DNA samples from powerful individuals, we could integrate a variety of abilities."

When the sparring ended, Vegapunk rushed forward. "Arashi, I need more DNA samples from powerful individuals."

Arashi was momentarily taken aback and sighed. "And where exactly am I supposed to find those for you?"

"I don't care—that's your problem!" Vegapunk declared. "Also, I've already programmed Zeus. You hold the highest authority, while I hold secondary control."

Arashi nodded, unconcerned about the arrangement. Then, as a thought struck him, he turned to Zeus.

The 1.8-meter-tall Seraphim stood still, its striking appearance—white hair flowing to its shoulders—bearing a slight resemblance to Arashi himself. Zeus regarded him with an enigmatic expression.

"Zeus," Arashi commanded, "I need you to go to Wano Country. Find a man named Kozuki Oden."

Pausing for emphasis, he added, "Dead or alive, bring him back."
