Chapter 232: Chapter 232: When Predictions Fail
World of the Titans, Noah's Ark.
Imu watched with an expression of disbelief as the various reports and images sent by the ninjas arrived.
"It's not the Ninja World, but what are those guys wearing Ninja forehead protectors?"
He knew that he had made a mistake in his judgment, but luckily, the consequences had only caused the ninjas to replace Cipher Pol as the first group to enter the Dimensional Gate to explore. Those reports he had written about the ninja world would come in handy in the future. As for whether this mistake would affect his authority with the Five Elders, he was not worried.
His power did not come solely from the reports he provided, but from his identity, his strength, the Ancient Weapon he possessed, and the control he had over the Dimensional Gate.
Imu felt that the top priority now was to determine the 'correct identity' of this new world as soon as possible.
"The main language is English... Northern Autonomous Region... Empire... Partas City... Prince Numa Seika... Dangerous species? Dangerous species?!"
When he saw the words 'dangerous species', he confirmed the new world.
"So it's the world of Akame ga Kill..."
"But weren't the northern tribes at war with the Empire? Could this be after the conquest? Then why is this Prince Numa Seika still alive?"
"And this city, Partas, isn't that Esdeath's clan? Weren't they supposed to have already been exterminated by the northern tribes? Nothing fits!"
Although Imu knew that there would be differences between the manga, anime, and other fictions regarding reality, but based on the experience of the first three worlds, except for the Titans' world, which had a great change due to Ymir's 'simulator' level ability to predict the future, the other two worlds had followed the original narrative quite faithfully at first.
After pondering for a moment, Imu began to write down the relevant information about the world of Akame ga Kill. However, this time he did not write down all the details. He only drew a schematic map of the Empire and marked the location of the Imperial capital.
He then described what Teigu and Danger Beasts were, the classes of Teigu to look out for, and also included information about the Imperial Fist Temple and dangerous species.
...
Starfish World, Room of Authority.
"Teigu World?" Warcury exclaimed in surprise, looking at the name Imu had given to the fourth world. "Didn't he call it the Ninja World before?"
Recently, the Five Elders had also noticed that many parts of the fourth world did not match Imu's initial predictions, but they did not dare to ask.
After carefully reading the above content, the Five Elders suddenly came to a realization. Among them, Ju Peter smiled and said, "I understand now! Lord Imu predicted a much more distant future than we thought."
"In other words, the Ninja World is the world we will encounter in the future."
They did not doubt this statement.
First, they did not dare to doubt it. Second, the previous information about the Ninja World was too detailed and complete, and even the history spanning thousands of years was written out.
Soon, the conversation turned to the Teigu and Dangerous Species.
"According to Lord Imu, there are five Teigu that deserve our attention more than anything: National Defense Machine God - Shikoutazer, Demon God Manifestation - Demon's Extract, Dimensional Formation - Shambhala, The Complete Book Of The World - Rongo Rongo, and One-Cut Killer - Murasame."
"In addition, there is an individual with the ability to foresee the future. He is a religious leader called the Lord, who has the innate ability to see the future through dreams."
Ju Peter said thoughtfully: "In other words, our existence is likely to have been known by that empire."
"Yes, I just don't know how much information they know." V. Nusjuro replied, looking seriously at the reports spread out on the table.
"However, according to the intelligence gathered by the first batch of ninjas, this empire is waging wars in both the east and west at the same time, so even if they know something, they won't be able to spare much power to deal with us for a while."
Mars intervened with an impassive expression. "In that case, let's occupy the north first, and then we'll face them to see how powerful those Teigu are."
At that moment, Ju Peter's Den-Den Mushi rang. It was a call from the director of Cipher Pol.
"Sir, our ninjas and the ancient Pillars have been tracked and attacked."
"Send the images here immediately!" Ju Peter immediately issued an order.
"Yes sir!"
Nusjuro said coldly: "It seems that the other party is indeed well prepared. I am really curious whether they have the ability to fight against our world government!"
...
Meanwhile, in the Teigu World, in a small town in the Northern Autonomous Region...
Four shadows moved at high speed across the rooftops, while the wind and snow roared around them. There were constant clashes, sparks flew through the air, and from time to time, the sound of gunshots broke the silence.
Frightened citizens hid in buildings, leaving the streets deserted in a matter of minutes.
Two of the figures, both around 1.80 meters tall, wore gray and white coats, and held black kunai. Opposite them, a man and a woman also wore winter clothing. The man held a long extendable sword, while the woman held a pistol and a strange whip.
They were members of the Imperial Secret Service, Ritone and Pais.
[Clang!]
The kunai collided with the blade of the sword.
The next second, there was a thud, and Ritone was kicked in the abdomen. He fell from the roof with blood gushing from his mouth, and his life or death was unknown.
"Ritone!" Pais screamed. But the attacker showed no mercy and in the blink of an eye, he lunged at her. The blade of the kunai flashed as it headed for her neck.
Pais was shocked and subconsciously closed his eyes and waited for death to come.
[Swish!]
[Puff!]
A cutting sound resounded in the air, followed by the echo of a splash of warm blood.
However, it was not Pais who fell. Suddenly, a beautiful woman with black hair and red eyes appeared before her, wielding a shining katana.
"Sorry, I'm late..."
The man in grey and white winter clothing fell into the snow, holding his bleeding neck wound with both hands, and continuing to moan in pain.
"What are you doing? It's just a cut. Stop the bleeding!" Fukui, a chunin from Umigakure, shouted without taking his eyes off the red-eyed girl who had suddenly appeared.
"I... can't... stop it." Kamehi moaned, feeling his blood flowing faster and faster. He looked desperately at the katana in the girl's hands.
"Can't stop bleeding?!" Fukui's heart sank. As the girl, showing no intention of prolonging the fight, disappeared in an instant.
The danger hit him squarely. His body, moved by an intense sensation of danger, reacted instinctively.
"Second Form: Water Wheel!"
Fukui used the kunai in his hand and his body that flipped a circle to draw a circle of water around him.
With a metallic sound, the kunai blocked the sharp attack in time, causing the red-eyed girl to raise her eyebrows in surprise.
Akame quickly took a step back. The flow of water that appeared out of nowhere was obviously a supernatural phenomenon.
At that moment, Fukui, determined to counterattack, launched several shuriken towards Akame, forcing her to defend herself with her katana.
"Third Form: Flowing Dance!"
Fukui launched an attack, leaving behind a trail of blue water that enveloped him.
His speed increased dramatically, and with the optical illusion of the water, it was difficult to distinguish his true body among the multiple reflections.
The sound of clashing metal echoed throughout the village, even overpowering the howling of the northern wind.
[Puff!]
After a while, Akame used a clean, direct cut to pierce through both the kunai and Fukui's chest.
"Argh!" Fukui screamed as blood poured out of his wound. He fell in a pool of blood on the roof.
"Huh, what a powerful guy. If we hadn't solved one first, it would have been troublesome if they really joined forces." Akame sighed, finally relaxing.
"Although... his techniques seemed more like those of a swordsman. Why didn't he use a katana?" Akame wondered quietly.
Just then, another girl appeared on the roof, looking equally young, with two long pink pigtails and a matching dress. She was carrying a strange weapon, some sort of large rifle with a blade on the end.
"Hmph~ What? I didn't have a chance to attack at all. I was thinking of shooting this guy if he ran away!" The pink girl protested in a somewhat capricious tone.
"This guy was very confident in his abilities. During the fight, he showed no fear or nervousness. He even looked at me as if he was above me." Akame commented.
"Didn't the intelligence say that they might be from the Alchemy Kingdom or the Island of the Gods? Maybe they are elites there, or even aristocracy, so they were born to look down on others." Mine looked in disgust at the two bodies in a pool of blood.
She had suffered discrimination since she was a child because she was a mixed-race of Western ethnic minorities.
Until one day, an official from the empire came to her inexplicably, and she was freed from that uncomfortable environment.
So she naturally disliked the aristocracy.
"Maybe."
Akame nodded. After all, she couldn't think of a more reasonable explanation, and then walked to the edge of the roof and looked at Pais below.
"How is he?"
Pais, kneeling in the snow, cried as she held Ritone, who had his eyes closed and blood on the corner of his mouth. "His ribs were broken by that kick, and then... then pierced into his lungs."
"I see..." Akame muttered.
She and Mine remained silent, as the snowstorm continued to hit the village.
And, watching from a distance, the little Den-Den Mushi on Fukui's shoulder couldn't take his eyes off their silhouettes.
