Alex's POV

Just as I said that, Bellmere appeared in front of me and punched me in the head, yelling, "You idiot! They are pirates. They are not customers. If they don't like the food, they will kill us, and if they like it, they will kidnap me."

I did the only thing I could do and turned around, saying to Shanks, "Y-you wouldn't kill us, right?" in a cute voice.

Shanks laughed and said, "No, I wouldn't. I am a good pirate, so it's okay," stretching out his hand to pat my head.

Bellmere pulled me inside and said, "What the hell is wrong with you? Are you stupid? I told you to stay away from him, right? So go inside now."

I couldn't do anything about it. I know that she is as strong-willed as Nami when there is money in front of her, so I can't make her change her mind. But I tried to talk back anyway, "But he said that he is a good pirate, so why should we be afraid?"

"And you believe him like that? Don't you know that all pirates are evil?" she said.

"But you are strong, so you can kick them out if they try to do anything, right?"

"Even if I am strong, I can't protect you and your sisters alone, can I?"

Since I can't do anything about it, I have to use my last and most shameful weapon, the word "mom." I mean, what man goes around saying that to a woman? I know that my body is that of a child, but still.

What can I do? I want to talk with Shanks. "Mom, please do this for me."

Bellmere started jumping for joy. "Okay, just this once, but you have to call me that from now on."

"What? No way! I will die from shame, but it's Shanks we are talking about here. When will I ever meet someone like him again? I have to do it," I said with a flushed face from shame. "Okay, m-mom."

After that, she let Shanks come in, and I turned around to shake his hand. The moment my hand touched his, I got curious about the differences between us, so I used Armament Haki to test it out. But man, is he strong. I don't even think he felt it.

Well, it's good that he didn't feel it. I don't want to go to sea at two years old, but my imagination shattered that moment I felt like two mountains were crushing my hand.

I looked up to see Shanks with a wide smile on his face. I pulled my hand and said, "Hey, can't you go easy on a kid, man? That hurt."

Shanks replied, "You started it. It's not my fault, but you are talented for a kid. Do you want to join my crew?"
