Lucci's gaze shifted to Reiju and Sanji, who seemed poised to step in.
"I'd advise you two not to interfere. Byakuya has no intention of killing you, so you're being given this chance to walk away."
Reiju asked, puzzled, "What do you mean?"
"As long as you both agree to leave now and never return to the East Blue, the Night Organization will spare your lives."
Sanji was momentarily stunned. Never return to the East Blue? Was that condition specifically aimed at him?
After all, Reiju had always lived in the North Blue, but Sanji had spent his life in the East Blue.
This almost commanding tone irritated Sanji, and he asked defiantly, "And if we refuse?"
"Then you die right here!" Before they could react, Lucci had already appeared in front of Sanji, gripping his throat and lifting him off the ground.
"I'll give you three seconds to decide. Leave or die?"
Sanji felt his throat crushed like it was caught in a vice, unable to breathe.
His face turned bright red, like a lobster in boiling water, as he struggled helplessly for air, lacking the strength to resist.
At this point, Sanji's power hadn't reached the level seen when he first appeared in the anime.
Reiju, seeing Sanji's distress, hesitated only for a moment before responding,
"We'll agree to your terms. We'll leave now and promise never to return to the East Blue."
With that, Lucci released his grip, tossing Sanji toward Reiju.
"I hope you keep your word. If we find you in the East Blue, you'll face the relentless pursuit of the Night Organization."
"Anyone with contact with you there will suffer because of it." These were Byakuya's orders to Lucci.
To be honest, Lucci didn't fully understand the reason behind them, but he knew he was simply following Byakuya's commands.
Byakuya wanted to see if Sanji would still become Luffy's crewmate if he were kept away from East Blue.
If not, Byakuya stood to gain significantly by making one of the main crew members disappear.
"Cough… Finally… I can breathe!" Sanji gasped for air, his chest heaving.
Reiju looked at him with concern, asking, "Did you do something outrageous in the East Blue that the Night Organization doesn't want you going back?"
Sanji froze, laughing ruefully. "Sis, I was just a cook in the East Blue. What could I have done to make anyone that angry?"
"Then why would the Night Organization treat you this way?"
"Maybe… maybe they tasted my food and thought it was terrible?" Reiju rolled her eyes, sighing at the absurdity.
If that were the case, the Night Organization would have much free time.
At that moment, Blueno, wearing a bull-headed mask, approached them and said in a deep voice, "Let's go. I'll take you out of here."
With that, Blueno opened an Air Door before them, gesturing for them to enter.
Reiju supported Sanji, finally looking at Ichiji and Niji, who were still fighting, and then at her father, who stubbornly refused to relinquish the lineage factor technology.
Sighing, Reiju helped Sanji through the door.
As Blueno followed and the three disappeared through the Air Door, it closed behind them, leaving the crowd in awe.
Such a mysterious ability—a Devil Fruit that could transport people long distances.
Everyone could see the strategic value of this power.
Alongside the powerful Logia user they'd just seen with the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, it was clear the Night Organization housed fearsome abilities.
Looking at Blueno's display, Stussy had a flash of recognition in her eyes, a faint smile curling at her lips.
She'd recognized the power: the Paramecia-type Door-Door Fruit.
If she remembered correctly, that fruit had been consumed by a member of the former CP9 tasked with infiltration missions.
After the Night Organization's last appearance, CP9's members had seemed to vanish without a trace—neither alive nor dead.
Within the World Government, some had long suspected that CP9 had defected to join the Night Organization, though conclusive evidence had remained elusive.
However, it was clear that CP9 had indeed joined their ranks.
With this insight, they could meticulously track CP9's movements to uncover the Night Organization's secrets.
Invigorated by this revelation, Stussy began closely observing the other fighters, attempting to match them with the known profiles of CP9 members.
However, facing all of Big Mom's high-ranking officers alone was almost impossible for Sonic.
Without his vast combat experience and exceptional speed, he might have been overpowered by Katakuri and his forces by now.
Seeing this, Lucci jumped in to support Sonic. Amid the fight, he yelled to Enel, "Stop messing around and get over here. We need backup!"
At this moment, Enel was toying with Niji like a cat playing with a mouse. Hearing Lucci's frustrated shout, Enel shrugged, feigning apology.
"My apologies—I suppose it's time to stop playing around and finally put an end to you."
Niji, now devoid of arrogance, surprisingly showed a look of relief at the thought of it being over.
One can only imagine the torment he had suffered during this fight. With a crackling thunderbolt, Enel left Niji as nothing more than a charred husk.
Meanwhile, Law's battle with Ichiji was not as playful, but he steadily gained the upper hand.
Ichiji was already missing an arm and a leg; finishing him off was merely a matter of time.
By this point, Byakuya had almost accomplished the goals he set for attending this gathering:
Helping Law exact his revenge, altering the storyline by preventing Reiju and Sanji from returning to the East Blue, and leaving a lasting impression on Morgans of his abilities and Emperor's Engine.
The next step in Byakuya's plan involved spreading the word about his power, an essential component of his image-rehabilitation strategy.
To achieve this, Byakuya must face Big Mom in a dramatic showdown, showcasing the abilities he intended to reveal.
