"Let Shanks keep using his Conqueror's Haki?"

Everyone present was stunned into silence by Byakuya's words. What kind of absurdity was this? Had Byakuya been hit so hard by Shanks' Haki that he'd lost his senses?

Others suspected he was just trying to show off, even if it was poorly timed.

After all, Byakuya had looked incredibly battered while barely holding his ground under the weight of Shanks' Haki.

Issho, standing behind Byakuya, awkwardly tugged at his sleeve and whispered, "Byakuya, my friend, for someone your age to withstand Shanks' Conqueror's Haki for so long, you've already proven your strength to everyone here. There's no need to push it any further."

Issho wasn't afraid of a clash with the Red-Haired Pirates, but he was pragmatic enough to know that any fight in this situation would put them at a disadvantage.

Everyone with eyes could see how much strain Byakuya was under; it simply wasn't wise to prolong this standoff. Shanks, on the other hand, was equally perplexed.

In his two decades at sea and six years as one of the Four Emperors, no one had ever made such a bizarre request: for him to continue crushing them with his Conqueror's Haki.

Byakuya was truly the first. As Shanks hesitated, wondering whether to indulge this strange demand, everyone's attention suddenly shifted toward the sea.

From the horizon, a single bicycle glided lazily across the waves, its rider exuding a casual air as if he were out for a leisurely trip.

This kind of laid-back attitude could belong to no one else but Marine Admiral Aokiji.

Shanks frowned, muttering, "What's Aokiji doing here?"

Ben Beckman, watching the Admiral's approach, leaned in and said in a low voice, "Captain, with Aokiji here, the balance of power between us and the Marines evens out."

"If a fight breaks out, things might not be in our favour…"

Hearing this, Shanks instantly ceased projecting his Haki. As Beckman pointed out, the scales were tilting in the Marines' favour. \\With the arrival of the ice-powered Admiral, the tension between the two groups froze as well.

Aokiji casually parked his bike on Byakuya's ship, lifted his eyepatch, and squinted at the scene: Byakuya looked utterly spent, and Shanks exuded menace.

Internally, Aokiji mused, As expected, Byakuya—who's got about a third of my power—is struggling against a top-tier like Shanks.

Good thing I got here in time, or my junior might've fallen victim to him.

Aokiji's gaze at Byakuya seemed to convey, Don't worry, little brother. As long as I'm here, no one will dare bully you. Byakuya sighed inwardly.

'My dear "brother," you're here to ruin everything, aren't you? Shanks was just about to go all in again, and now my plan to level up using him is completely derailed.'

Before Byakuya could wallow in frustration, Issho's voice came from behind, full of relief.

"Admiral Aokiji's arrival is truly timely! Now Shanks can't possibly act recklessly, and this unnecessary battle can be avoided."

"Byakuya, my friend, you don't need to push yourself anymore. You might injure yourself further."

Hearing this, Byakuya nearly choked on his breath. He wanted to scream but could only swallow the frustration.

After all, he couldn't openly blame Aokiji for arriving at the worst possible moment.

Looking at Aokiji, whose expression practically screamed, I've got your back, and Issho, who was relieved that a battle had been avoided, Byakuya's face turned pale as he silently cursed, What did I do to deserve this?

If it weren't inappropriate, Byakuya would've punched both Aokiji and Issho on the spot for being such useless allies.

Instead, with teary eyes, he muttered, "I don't want to use my World Energy…"

Aokiji, misinterpreting Byakuya's expression, thought he was deeply moved by his timely rescue.

Brimming with emotion, Aokiji patted Byakuya on the shoulder and declared, "Don't worry, little brother. As long as I'm here today, I won't let Shanks lay a finger on you!"

The firmness in Aokiji's tone made Byakuya nearly stagger, his throat tightening as he fought back an exasperated groan.

Issho stepped forward to steady him, offering reassurance, "Rest easy, Byakuya. With me and Admiral Aokiji here, no harm will come to you."

By this point, Byakuya had run out of words to respond. With a hollow, drained expression, he muttered, "Leave. Just leave. I want to be alone."

Aokiji, standing protectively in front of Byakuya, coldly addressed Shanks. "If I were you, I wouldn't linger here any longer."

Shanks slung Gryphon over his shoulder and retorted with a smirk, "Do you think you, Issho, and an injured Byakuya are enough to stop the Red-Haired Pirates?"

"Our title of the 'Iron Wall Pirates' isn't for show."

Aokiji's tone remained calm as he countered, "Vice Admiral Garp recently saw a certain wanted poster that sent him into a frenzy."

"He's been scouring the seas for you, vowing to rip you apart with his own hands. He's already been informed of your presence here and is on his way."

"So it won't just be me and Issho. You'll also have to deal with Garp. Are you sure your crew can handle all three of us?"

Shanks' face darkened as he exclaimed in disbelief, "What? Garp is chasing me across the entire ocean again? How did I not hear about this?"

At that moment, Ben Beckman leaned close and whispered, "Captain, remember? After Luffy set out to sea, we pulled back the people we had keeping an eye on Garp."

Shanks slapped his forehead in realization. "Ah, right! That's what happened. Damn it, we can't let that old stubborn man catch us. Everyone, we're pulling out!"

The Red-Haired Pirates' crew moved swiftly and methodically, turning the ship around to prepare for a quick escape.

It was clear they had experienced this kind of situation many times before.

Lucky Roux, however, hesitated and suggested, "Boss, how about we eat first before we leave? I'm starving to death here."

Shanks shot him an exasperated look and barked, "Eat, eat, eat! That's all you ever think about. If we stick around to eat, we'll all be having meals in Impel Down!"

"But there's no food in Impel Down," Lucky Roux argued. "Wouldn't it be better to eat now? At least if we get captured, we'd be going in with full stomachs."

As Lucky Roux continued to ramble about the lack of food in Impel Down, Yasopp clamped a hand over his mouth.

"Can't you see the boss's face? If you keep talking, he'll throw you into Impel Down himself!"

Lucky Roux finally quieted down after seeing Shanks' face turn a deep shade of blue.

Meanwhile, across the sea, Ace also began to panic. "Grandpa is coming? If he catches me, I'm done for!"

Memories of his childhood flashed through Ace's mind—of the countless times he'd been beaten black and blue by Garp after declaring he'd become the Pirate King.

The mere thought made his scalp tingle. "Marco, we need to go! If Grandpa catches us, we're all heading to Impel Down!" Ace shouted urgently.

Marco, knowing full well the nature of Ace's relationship with Garp, didn't need further convincing.

He issued the same command as Shanks, and the Whitebeard Pirates began preparing to retreat.

However, before leaving, Ace didn't forget his "archrival."

He turned to Byakuya, who was being helped onto the Marine ship by Issho, and shouted, "Byakuya! You look seriously injured, so I won't pick on you this time."

"But the next time we meet, I'll defeat you and settle the score from Fish-Man Island!"

Byakuya nearly exploded with anger. What the hell?! Now even Ace thinks he can walk all over me?

Do not pick on me. Go ahead, try it! If I don't beat the crap out of you, I'll change my surname!

Just as Byakuya fumed, he realized something crucial. Wait… if they all leave, what about my World Energy? My Conqueror's Haki? Most importantly, they haven't paid me yet!

Determined not to let them get away, Byakuya struggled to break free from Issho's grip, only to be held firmly in place.

Issho tried to calm him, saying, "Byakuya, my friend, you're gravely injured. You mustn't push yourself. Admiral Aokiji has already driven them off, and we're safe now."

At that moment, Aokiji walked over with a smug expression.

"Byakuya, did you see that? I made the Red-Haired Pirates and the Whitebeard Pirates retreat with just a few words."

"That's the power of using your brain! It's way better than Akainu's brute-force methods, don't you think? Pretty impressive, huh?"

Byakuya raised a trembling finger at Aokiji, his lips quivering with anger.

"Oh, you're impressive, all right! If you can take one punch from me and survive, then I'll admit you're the best!"

Aokiji, thinking Byakuya was merely lashing out in embarrassment, casually brushed his hand aside and chuckled.

"You've only got a third of my strength. Forget one punch; even if you landed thirty punches, they wouldn't faze me."

"Just focus on recovering. If you get into trouble again, I might not be able to save you like I did this time."

Byakuya's eyes widened in utter disbelief. What the hell did I just hear?! Ace says he won't pick on me because I'm injured.

Aokiji says he can tank thirty punches from me without breaking a sweat. And now he claims I only have a third of his strength?

Where does he even get these numbers?! What is wrong with this world?! Why are these people so ridiculously confident?!
