One Piece: Overlord Buggy

I was practically unable to get up, mostly due to my body being a vice grip with the platform in between. On the other hand, Taki and Rem were both sitting relatively close to the crank mechanism, just as a precaution to not fall off and have more time to register if they were or not.

Xetalona simply had a look of admiration? Happiness? I couldn't tell, but from her words before, she was definitely at least, happy. Or interested in the Abilities of mine. Either way, it wasn't something I would like anyone really to know before my debut as a threat to the world government.

"Xeta.."

"My name's Xetalona, Lona is my name, Xeta is my family name. Xetalona."

"Hmmm... Anyways, Lona, I have something I would just love for you to do."

I turned, still flat on the platform to find her smiling, looking at me, really close. She was sitting on the back of her feet, her legs bent to get low enough to look at me closer.

"What do you want me to do?" She spoke with more enthusiasm than I was expecting.

"Can you.. not say a single word about my abilities?"

I waited, staring back at her, as she opened her mouth, and then didn't say a word, her jaw hanging freely for a second.

"If you show me your abilities, yeah!"

"You...." Taki had started, but I interrupted with another question for Xetalona.

"You know.. that's a childish thing to do."

I looked at Taki, who I could tell asked what I was doing. I just shrugged a shoulder, and then continued "How old are you? You can't be that old if you are being that childish."

Taki then rolled her eyes.

"I'm 16!"

I looked away for a second as she proudly told her age.

'16? How old am I? Oh, I don't even know how old I am! I mean.. Shanks might know, but I don't remember!'

"Okay! Nevermind those statements and questions. Let's just go back to what you answered."

"Yeah! Show me your abilities, and I'll keep them secret!" A big grin showed on her face, along with major amounts of excitement.

".........fine."

I then let go with my left hand, and lifted my entire left arm up, detaching from the socket, and the floating it in front of her. I felt some suspense build within her, as she looked with a gleam in her eye while staring at my arm.

I then sighed, and I turned my arm into sand, regretfully. 'Why am I letting someone take advantage of me? Is there a reason? Or am I just wanting Lona here to not say a word so badly I just trust her?'

I felt Xetalona move her hand through the floating grains of sand that was my arm, and it felt weird, someone moving my own body around, even if it was small.

'I need to come up with something to not get hurt like this. I mean, I have become only partially like a logia, but I only now know the grains of sand that is my body can still be touched. I have to move it, or someone else does. When I did it before, didn't I just do exactly what I want? But.. how do I subconsciously just.. become like a logia? I did it and used a lot of energy, and yet, I had total control.. so CAN people just.. hit me still? Or.. wha..... Ugh. I'm gonna have to figure this out later.'

"Lona? Can you maybe stop doing that? I need to reform my arm."

Like a little kid, surprisingly, she meekly said "Ah, sure." Before retracting her arm, and yet still having stars in her eyes.

While I reformed my arm, she asked "Can you just do that? With all of your body? Does it hurt? Could you be cut and be fine? What happens if you get shot?"

"Woah! Slow down there, Lona! I can only answer one question at a time. Yes, I can, but it uses a bunch of energy. Yes, my whole body can do that. No, it doesn't hurt, yes, I can be cut and still survive with no wound at all, and I just dodge when, or if, someone shoots me."

"THATS AMAZING!"

"Can you just keep your end of the deal and not say a word about these abilities?"

"Is that all of them?"

I looked away for a split second, and blatantly lied "Yes."

The good part is, she didn't catch my look away, as she then just took that as all.

"But wait, didn't you-" she looked at Taki and Rem. "-didn't you say he could fly?"

I started sweating as soon as those words were uttered.

"Y-yes. She did. Uhm...."

'What do I.. Oh-kay..'

"Did you not see my arm float? While that's not my full ability with flying, I can still do it. That's it."

I smiled while obviously dripping with sweat, and she stared at me, getting a closer look, and then, her demeanor went from staring daggers into her happy form.

"Cool! I thought there was going to be more, but that's still cool!"

I internally sighed out of relief that she took those words at face value, not taking a closer look at all. I let my head and my arm drop, and grabbed on to the platform once more.

"So. You gonna keep those secret?"

"Yes!" And it was followed by another pose while basically in front of me, I wasn't looking, nor using observation, so I didn't know what poseshe was doing, because I didn't care.

"What do we do now?" Rem asked, and I didn't know.

"I'm gonna take you guys to Lord Sensen!"

"Is he like.. the leader.. or something?"

"Uh-huh! He's the one who's letting me figure out how to get off the island!" And she jumped up to pose mid-air and stay mid-air.

I perked up, alongside Taki and Rem, and I even sat up, staring at the weird girl floating in front of me.

"You're working on a way to get off the island? Can't you just..."

"Nope! You can't just sail out of here! Did you see that wave? That's one of the smaller ones, normally we have to be higher than this, but that one wasn't as bad as the others!"

"So, the ocean's keeping us here?"

"Mhm!"

"...."

"But don't worry! I'm still working on a way to get off!" She smiled proudly, posing to accentuate that smile.

".... How do I know you're telling the truth?"

"Uhhhhhhhhh...... Ooh! I can't take you to the workshop! That's where I'm working on the boat to take everyone off this island!"

"But didn't you just say we can't sail out of here?" Rem asked a pretty good question, and I followed.

"Yeah, how do you use a boat, and not sail out of here? Does it fly?"

She stared at me, then looked at Rem, and then looked back at me before answering"It does fly! How'd you guess?"

I was scratching my neck when she asked.

'Uhm.. I was right? But wait.. a flying ship? Maybe I need one. I mean, if I can make my whole ship fly, then what says I can't just use that all the time? It would be preeeeeety useful, especially getting up to sky islands, I need some stuff from up there.'

'You know, there's a better question to ask.'

'Oh, hi! Am I just being dumb right now?'

'You COULD ask if you can see how the ship is supposed to fly, that would be good.'

'.... Thanks me.'

'You're welcome.'

"So, Lona, how DO you make a ship fly?"

He entire demeanor lit up like a Christmas tree. She became ecstatic about it, as if no one had asked her to see how she was going to make a ship fly before.

"No one's even asked to see my work before! Not even Sensen! Of course I'll show you just how to make a ship fly!"

The grin on her face at that moment was wider than her own face, and I could feel an overjoyed feeling wash over me, coming from her as she jumped a little bit before scrambling to the crank, and moving the entire platform up.

"What're we doing!?"

"We're going to see the flying ship I've been building!"

And then, we started moving up. Fast. Faster than when I was helping to avoid the wave. I then looked at her to realize her arms were not as skinny as they were before. Her muscles were bulging from her arms, and she was definitely more jacked than me.

I looked at my arms for a second. 'Uh.... How? Do I have as much strenth as her? Or do my muscles not exactly grow like normal? I mean, I punched a crater into solid rock, with only a few punches, so that can't be the case. Why are her muscles like that? Oh, duh, she said she was building a ship! I already know it takes a lot of time, and a bunch of strength, but I can easily build MY ship with how strong I am. But.. uh.. nevermind. I'll just ignore it.'

And then, a building came into sight when looking up. A giant, wooden structure, which looked like it was made out of the hull of an old ship flipped upside down, with a lot of smaller rooms added on to the outside.

"What is that?"

"That is my workshop!"
