One Piece : The Blood Emperor

Four months later...

Luke woke up from meditation. He was currently in a spacious room of a ship.

Beside him was the tied up Blackbeard whose expression was full of annoyance.

"Is this even necessary? We're not at the new world yet." Blackbeard muttered with indignation.

"Like I said, you're a prisoner. I already told you that you will investigate that organization for me. Your Warp Ability is your greatest trump card in this situation. Over the past months of your training, you should be able to escape that place pretty easily." Luke squinted his eyes at the latter. Although he trust Killer Bee, he didn't trust the organization especially when managed by a villain in their story

He wanted to know the real nature of their organization. Yes, he can join the organization, but his freedom will be restricted from sailing the seas and guiding Luffy. So the best candidate for this mission is his confidant, Blackbeard.

Knock! Knock!

"Sir, w-we arrived at Fishman Island." A nervous voice resounded outside the room. He was a captain of a random pirate group that dreamt of exploring the new world. However, they met Luke who want a hitch hike to the Fishman Island. Of course there are resistance, a futile resistance.

"Alright. The organization escort is here." Luke smiled as he squinted at Blackbeard who went nervous. He added,

"I'm going to create a separate memory in the very depths of your soul. If they try to investigate your memories, they will only see your previous action with Whitebeard Pirates until I captured you." Luke then grabbed Blackbeard's head to do a memory partition.

"Ahhh.. Whatever." Blackbeard closed his eyes. He already entrusted his life to Luke. Although that's the case, he also didn't want to be a henchman to work on some duties which made him frustrated all the time. Once he regain his freedom, he will definitely go all out.

Luke put a cloak on Blackbeard as they headed to a hidden part of the Fishman Island. He could sense the aura of Killer Bee whose already waiting for them.

"It's been a while. Is this the one you're looking for?" Killer Bee examined Blackbeard carefully.

"Yes. How's the preparation?" Luke nodded as he pushed Blackbeard to the latter.

"All preparation's done. Recent news is that she went to Wano Kingdom to confront Kaido of the Beasts. After their battle, she will return to Whole Cake Island to recuperate. Although she will be weakened, the whole group will also be active on protecting her." Killer Bee replied.

"Hmm. So long as she's spent her powers a bit. It will be enough. We have planned this assassination for a year now, I'm hoping for a great success." Luke nodded with a serious tone.

That's right. Luke's target is to claim Big Mom's Devil Fruit, the Soru Soru no Mi. He was gambling at the Devil Fruit's ability. As for the details, he will leave it to fate if he really defeat that monster and consume the Devil Fruit.

"Let's head to the new world. Time no waste for anyone." Killer Bee escorted Blackbeard to a nearby Sea King.

"There's someone I need to visit first real quick. Wait for me here." Luke smiled as he turned to the direction where many Fishmen are located.

Luke strolled in the bustling area called Coral Hill. He was marveled how different these fishmen looks. For some reason, his appetite towards fish dishes reduced a bit.

As he strolled in a single direction, he came to a hub called Mermaid Cafe. He suddenly vanished and entered a certain room that named Shyarly on the plaque.

Luke expected the owner of the place to atleast freak out when meeting an unknown visitor, but he was amazed how composed the Fish Woman in front of him.

"This is a private place. Although humans are guests, I don't welcome anyone entering here." The Fish Lady that Luke recognized as Shyarly said indifferently. She's a beautiful mermaid with shark-like tail. She's also a mature Fish Lady while holding a tabacco pipe. She wears a hooded purple blouse that is only buttoned in the middle, revealing her cleavage and stomach and has a belly-chain around her waist.

"Pardon my intrusion, but I'm in a hurry." Luke ignored Shyarly and walked towards a crystal ball not far from him.

"I'm here to negotiate." Luke manipulated the crystal ball and passed it to Shyarly. He continued, "I want you to read my future."

"Hm? It's rare for a human to know my previous occupation." Shyarly elegantly smoke using her pipe as she replied calmly. The crystal ball still floated in the air in front of her. Although a bit surprised, she didn't mind too much.

She continued, "My apologies but I'm not doing pre-vision in a long time. Therefore, I would like to decline your request."

"Even if my bargain is the life of your half-brother?" Luke squinted his eyes at her.

Shyarly paused her action. She stared at Luke if he's serious about his words. A few seconds past, she closed her eyes and said,

"My brother left this place for revenge but he met with trouble. He chose that life and I don't have the right to interfere with his affairs."

Luke went silent. Maybe his approach was a bit rude and direct. Also, Shyarly have no intentions of protecting her brother so it will be harder for him to convince her. Seconds past and his eyes shone.

"Then how about I change my bargaining chip?" He smiled as he stared at her.

Luke has a thing for serious type of women. Meeting Shyarly made him see her as a potential partner. However, she's a Fish Lady so he will have to restrain his romantic thoughts towards her.

"I'm listening." Shyarly nodded after a few seconds of contemplation.

"I can give you three promises." Luke said as he removed his cloak and sunglasses revealing his face to show his sincerity to her. He continued,

"First, I will preserve your brother's life and let him return to Fishman Island. I said that because your brother will face a terrible fate in the future by getting imprisoned to Impel down along with his comrades.

Second is.. I will prevent a future trouble of the Fishman Island that may endanger the Fishmen's royal family."

Shyarly frowned and got confused. She ceased glancing at future events long ago. She only saw the horror of people fighting one another and rain of blood everywhere everytime she uses her ability. As a result, she decided to left the future be unknown.

"Trouble? What do you mean?" She asked.

"Well. That is all I can say. Just take it as my private army will protect the Fishman Island in secret since Jimbe is not always around." Luke replied calmly. He knew Shyarly have something to do with Hody so he left his words as little as possible.

He will send men to execute this menace and other potential danger to the Fishman Island. He didn't need for Luffy to take action for this.

"And the third?" Shyarly was getting more interested by the proposal. Although she's indifferent towards all things, her main concern is the safety of all the Fishmen.

"I wont reveal my third promise until you read my future." Luke shook his head. His third promise has something to do with Luffy's destroying Fishmen Island in the future. If Shyarly knows of this, she will likely to be distracted when reading his own future. His agenda on coming to her was to know if he can actually return to his previous world.

Shyarly stared at Luke a few seconds before taking the crystal ball. She then closed her eyes and focused on Luke's future.

Not a single second past and her face showed utmost horrific expression. She forcefully let go of the crystal ball which caught by Luke.

"Y-You!! G-Get out!! Get out!!" She shouted at Luke in fear.

"I won't until you tell me my future." Luke calmly stated as he already expected this outcome of her getting paranoid. That is why he created an energy bubble preventing any sound to escape when she started the pre-vision.

"Y-Y-Your future is unknown. I-It's blank!" Shyarly said with a trembling voice. Her body shrank to the point she curled herself like a ball.

"Then why are you reacting like that? What did you saw?" Luke patiently crossed his arms. He was kinda intrigued of what Shyarly saw of the future him.

Shyarly took a deep breath to calm her emotions. She stared at Luke with mix emotions and a hint of pleading. Although her body was shaking hard, she remained unyielding.

Luke was taken aback. What could possibly go wrong with his future plans that even a Seer would look at him like this? Will he go overboard in the future that may cause the imbalance of the world? Probably?

"*Sigh.. If what you saw is what I imagined it to be, then you're probably right. And if you say my future is blank, then let me show you and the world how clear it is for me." Luke started to head towards the door. He added,

"Don't worry, I will acknowledge two of my promises."

With that, Luke left the place with heavy heart.

Meanwhile, Shyarly remained silent. She looked pale while having complicated emotions. She didn't have the courage to say what she saw of the future Luke. She just can't...

...

"Are you ready? Let's go to the meeting place." Killer Bee waited on the Sea King patiently. Beside him was the tied Blackbeard who has a darkened expression.

"Yeah."

"I'm more than ready."

Luke's crimson eyes shone brightly as if he became a different person.
