One piece with a system.

Chapter 1: 01

On an uncharted island...

"So, what do we do now?" Jack asked, breaking the uneasy silence.

"How would I know? It's not like I've ever been sent to another world before" Reed replied, his voice tinged with exasperation.

"You know," Jack said, pausing for a moment, "maybe I should've picked Armani instead. Thinking about it now, he's the one who'd actually know what to do in a situation like this."

Reed sighed and crossed his arms. "I appreciate being the first choice, but I didn't exactly sign up for this. I was perfectly happy in the modern world, Jack. And now, thanks to your stupid wish, we're stuck here in the world of One Piece. "

"Alright, calm down!" Jack shot back. "I just figured with all the fanfictions you've read about getting sent to another world, you'd have some idea what to do!"

"No? All the people who get transported to another world get a 'system'!" Reed said, his voice laced with exhaustion.

Just then, a glowing system window appeared before him, its text shimmering faintly in the air.

"Well, would you look at that! A system!" Reed exclaimed, his tired tone replaced with excitement.

"What? Where?" Jack asked, squinting and looking around frantically.

"In front of me!" Reed replied, pointing at the floating window. "You seriously don't see this?"

"No? Maybe I have one too?" Jack speculated, a spark of hope in his voice.

After a moment of hesitation, he took a deep breath and said, "…System."

Almost instantly, a glowing screen materialized in front of him, its text and icons gleaming brightly.

"I have one as well!" he shouted, his face lighting up with excitement.

Reed squinted at his system screen and asked, "Do we have the same one?"

"I don't know," Jack replied, glancing at his. "What options do you have? I've got 'Stats,' 'Shop,' 'Party,' and 'Mission.'"

"Alright then, we have the same," Reed confirmed with a nod.

Suddenly, Reed's system screen flickered, and with a soft hum, it synchronized with Jack's. A new message appeared across both of their screens:

"Missions linked. All missions will be 2-player missions from now on."

"Well... alright then," Reed muttered, still trying to process everything. "Now, back to the topic. Did you choose me specifically because I have no family left?"

Jack, still distracted by his system screen, responded with a casual tone, "Well, partly." He finally glanced at Reed. "I mean, you've always wanted to go to One Piece, right? So when given the option, I picked you. We both have dead parents, and we're basically brothers with how close we are."

He paused for a moment, then added quickly, "No homo."

Reed gave Jack a strange look, torn between feeling touched by Jack's trust and a pang of longing for his friends back in the modern world. "Alright, fine. We were bound to be working at a McDonald's anyway," he said, his voice tinged with a mix of resignation and humor.

Jack grinned, clearly relieved. "I knew I could count on you! Now," he said, his focus shifting back to the system, "let's explore this!" He pressed the 'Party' option, where Reed's name appeared under the 'Unallied' section.

Reed raised an eyebrow. "What's that about?"

Jack shrugged. "We might as well be a team if we're stuck here." He tapped the screen, eager to see what would happen next.

A message suddenly popped up on Reed's system screen: "You have received an ally request from Jack. Do you accept?"

Without hesitation, Reed accepted the request. The moment he did, both he and Jack noticed a green marker appear above their heads, indicating their new partnership.

"Check the shop," Jack said, his excitement building as he moved his hand toward the 'Shop' option on his screen.

Reed nodded and followed suit, tapping the same option. "Let's see what we're working with," he muttered, curious about what tools or items might help them in this new world.

When both Jack and Reed opened the shop, they were immediately greeted by a vast array of different *devil fruits* and *swords* from the *One Piece* universe. The selection was overwhelming, featuring fruits like the *Bomb Bomb Fruit* and the *Gum Gum Fruit*.

However, next to the *Gum Gum Fruit*, a small disclaimer caught their attention:

**"Not the Mythical Zoan Version."**

The price listed was surprisingly low: **500 000 Beli.**

Reed raised an eyebrow. "That's... oddly cheap, considering it's the *Gum Gum Fruit.*"

Jack laughed, shaking his head. "Yeah, but I guess they're saying it's not the mythical version. Wonder how much that would cost..." He scanned the list further, already envisioning the possibilities if they could somehow afford these powerful fruits.

After scrolling through the endless *devil fruits* for a while, Jack grew tired of the options and moved on to a different tab labeled 'Boats.' The selection was much simpler:

- Row Boat - 1000 Beli

- Small Sail Boat - 2500 Beli

- Medium Sail Boat - 4500 Beli'

- .....

He started thinking about the logistics of escaping the island when something caught his eye—a small disclaimer on the side of the shop options. It read:

**"When buying a devil fruit, it will give you the effects without having to eat it and will replace the current devil fruit if you have eaten one already."**

Jack blinked in surprise. "So, we don't have to eat them? That's... interesting. But it also means no extra powers unless we're willing to give up the one we have."

Reed leaned over to read the disclaimer. "Guess that clears up some confusion, but now we have to think carefully about which fruit we want."

Jack grinned, adopting a teasing tone. "Technically, we do have to think carefully, unless we lack money, since we can just change it if we don't like it."

Reed blinked, realizing how foolish his previous statement had sounded. He quickly shot back, "Oh, shut up. Look, Kaido's signature Dragon Fruit costs 150M. That's expensive!"

Jack's eyes widened at the price. "150 million? Guess we'll need to start saving up for that one… unless we get really lucky." He chuckled, glancing at the other options. "But yeah, we should probably stick with something more affordable for now."

Reed threw his hands up in frustration. "Affordable, my ass! We don't have money right now! Did you forget? We're stranded! We're gonna starve out here!"

Jack sighed, his shoulders slumping as he remembered their situation. "Right, forgot about the stranded part." He looked at the screen again, a bit defeated. "Guess we'll need to focus on surviving first before we think about fancy fruits or boats."

Reed shook his head and decided to exit the 'Shop' area. "Maybe we can get money from the missions," he muttered to himself. He made his way to the 'Missions' tab, hoping it would offer something useful.

Jack followed his lead, still scanning the screen. "If the missions give us money, we might actually get somewhere."

Reed tapped the 'Missions' tab and waited for the details to load, hoping the system would give them some direction.

When Reed opened the 'Missions' tab, the screen displayed two distinct areas. On the left were the Active Completable Missions, while the right side showed Completed Missions.

To Reed's surprise, the right side already had one mission listed:

"Open the Missions Tab" - Completed

Reed blinked. "Well, I guess that was easy enough." He glanced over at the active missions section. "Let's see what else we've got to work with."

Jack leaned in from the side, his eyes lighting up. "Bro, check the reward for that mission! It's a free sword! More specifically, a katana!"

As Jack claimed the reward, the katana materialized in front of him with a soft shimmer, appearing out of thin air. It was a sleek, polished blade with a simple yet elegant handle, clearly designed for combat.

Jack grinned, grabbing the katana. "Nice! This is way better than starving without any weapons!"

Reed quipped from the side, "That's awesome, the way it just appeared out of nowhere!"

With a smirk, he quickly claimed his own reward. Just like Jack's katana, a sleek blade materialized in front of him, the same design and elegance, ready for use.

"Now we're both armed," Reed said, admiring the weapon for a moment. "This might not be so bad after all."

Without warning, Jack swung his katana through the air with a dramatic flourish, grinning. "We're armed, alright, but we don't know how to use a sword properly!"

Reed's face fell for a moment as he realized the truth in Jack's words. "Maybe we can buy swordsmanship in the shop?" he suggested, a flicker of hope in his voice. "Maybe the breathing styles from Demon Slayer ?"

He glanced at Jack, eyes full of hope. "That could make us pretty strong, right?"

As they navigated through the shop in frustration, both Jack and Reed noticed a previously overlooked tab labeled 'Fighting Styles.'

"Wait, look at that!" Jack exclaimed, pointing at it.

"Fighting Styles? Why didn't we see this earlier?" Reed muttered, quickly tapping on it.

Jack chuckled awkwardly. "Maybe, just maybe, we got a little too excited about the devil fruits? Haha…"

Reed smirked but shook his head. "Maybe. Anyway, what is all this? I don't recognize these! 'Dark Step'? 'Electric'? 'Water Kung Fu'? What are these?"

Jack shrugged, scrolling through the descriptions. "Beats me. Some of these sound like knockoffs of the main fighting styles from *One Piece*. 'Dark Step' must be a variation of Sanji's 'Black Leg.' And 'Water Kung Fu'? Sounds like a simplified version of Fish-Man Karate."

Reed squinted at the options. "'Electric'? What is that, Enel's lightning powers mixed with hand-to-hand combat?"

Jack laughed. "If it is, it better come with a free thundercloud. These names are wild."

After sharing a laugh, Reed scrolled down further and paused, spotting something intriguing:

"'Electric-Claw' » 'Electric' mastery 400 required."

"Oh?" Reed muttered, leaning in closer to read the description.

Jack asks "what 'oh' are talking about there?"

Reed tapped the screen thoughtfully. "I see a fighting style that requires mastery of another fighting style," he said. After a brief pause, he added, "And it's called Electric-Claw."

Jack stopped scrolling and furrowed his brow. "Electric-Claw?" he repeated, then quickly asked, "Wait, is there Sharkman Karate and Dragon Talon in there too?"

Reed blinked, taken aback by Jack's rapid-fire questions. "Yes? What's wrong?" he asked, his tone a mix of curiosity and confusion.

Jack paused, deep in thought. "Wait a second... I *knew* those sounded familiar." He clicked his tongue, his eyes lighting up with realization. "Those fighting styles are from a Roblox game!"

Reed froze for a moment, processing the information. "What? Are you serious?"

Jack nodded, smirking. "Yeah! They're from Blox Fruits! That explains the weird names like Electric-Claw and Dragon Talon."

Reed sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "So, we're stranded in the One Piece world, with a system that also pulls from a Roblox game? Great. Just great."

Jack chuckled. "Hey, at least we know the meta now."

"Well, at least you know the good fighting styles, right?" Reed asked, raising an eyebrow.

Jack puffed out his chest proudly. "Of course! I reached the maximum bounty of 30M there!" he declared, a smug grin spreading across his face.

Reed rolled his eyes but couldn't help smirking. "Alright, Mr. Pro Player. Guess I'll rely on you to figure out the best moves. Just don't get us killed trying to farm bounty here."

Jack's eyes lit up as a thought struck him. "Does that mean we're gonna be pirates?" he asked excitedly. Then, without waiting for a reply, he clapped his hands together. "I really wanna be a pirate!"

Reed sighed, shaking his head with a small smile. "Of course, you do. Well, if we're stuck in the One Piece world, being pirates is kind of the default, isn't it?"

"Shut it!" Jack said jokingly, pointing a mock-serious finger at Reed. "We're going to be a two-man pirate crew! I swear, if you even think about making a harem, I'll kill you myself!"

Reed chuckled, shaking his head. "Relax, Captain Overprotective. I'm not exactly in the mood to gather a bunch of people on this crazy world."

"Great!" Jack said enthusiastically, gripping his katana with determination. "Now, let's go back to the missions tab and see what we can actually do!"

Reed nodded, already navigating back to the screen. "Yeah, hopefully, we can find something that gets us money or food. Preferably both."

As they opened the missions tab, two new uncompleted tasks appeared on the screen:

1. **"Get out of the island and find civilization"**

2. **"Allocate your first stat point"**

Reed's eyes immediately locked on the second mission. "Allocate your first stat point..." he muttered, intrigued. Without hesitation, he tapped the 'Stats' tab to see what options were available.

"Alright, let's see what we've got," he said, eager to improve their chances of survival.

Melee - 0

Defense - 0

Sword - 0

Gun - 0

Devil Fruit - 0

Points Remaining - 3

Reed stared at the stats in confusion. "What? What does this mean? Why is there no explanation!" He sighed in frustration. "This is annoying."

Noticing Reed's irritation, Jack asked, "What's up?"

Reed looked at Jack and motioned to the screen. "Check the stats tab."

Jack tapped the tab, scanning it briefly. Then, his eyes widened in realization. "Oh! It's the same as Blox Fruits!"

Jack furrowed his brow as he pondered the stats. "I remember that in Blox Fruits, Melee adds energy and Melee damage. Does this mean we get energy here as well?"

Reed thought for a moment, his eyes scanning the stats. "Could be. If we get energy, then putting points into Melee might not be such a bad idea. But we'll need to test it out."

Jack quickly added, "In the game, it was almost always the best strategy to max out Defense, Melee, and one of the three attacking options." He paused for a moment, then added, "But maybe not anymore? Since this isn't a game anymore."

Reed nodded, considering the shift in perspective. "Yeah, this is real life now, not a game. We'll have to be more careful about how we allocate points. It's not just about being strong, it's about surviving."

Jack thought for a moment, then grinned. "Alright, I'll volunteer to test the Melee more energy theory," he said with a joking tone. "I'll take one for the team and go all in on the Melee stat."

Reed raised an eyebrow, smirking. "You sure about that? Don't want to regret it later when you're too tired to swing that katana."

Jack chuckled. "Eh, what's the worst that can happen? If I'm wrong, I'll just pump points into Defense or something."

Reed shook his head, amused. "Alright, Captain. Let's see how your theory works out."

Jack quickly refuted, "We're both captains! Remember, this is a 2-person crew!" He then proceeded to add all his stat points to Melee.

Melee - 3

Defense - 0

Sword - 0

Gun - 0

Devil Fruit - 0

Points Remaining - 0

As he confirmed the allocation, Jack suddenly felt a warm sensation spread through his body. Along with that warmth, he noticed that he was feeling less tired, his energy levels rising.

"Interesting," Jack mumbled, feeling the newfound energy coursing through him. He turned to Reed, a grin spreading across his face. "It works! It really does increase energy levels. I feel like I can fight for days!"

Reed raised an eyebrow, impressed. "No way. That's actually pretty useful. Guess you weren't wrong after all."

Jack stretched, feeling more refreshed than before. "Yeah, this is a game changer. Now we can actually do things without feeling like we're gonna pass out after five minutes."

Reed smirked, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Nice! Now I wanna go gun main. Should I go that route?"

Jack raised an eyebrow, thinking it over. "I'm not sure... guns in the game were... let's just say you'd only see someone using a gun as their main damage once in a blue moon."

Reed frowned slightly. "Why's that?"

Jack nodded thoughtfully, his tone serious. "Well, you can't really rely on a gun when everyone's fast... really fast. There's no point in using one. It's the kind of weapon that's strong against the weak and weak against the strong. Plus, the options are pretty limited. You'll be at a huge disadvantage against someone who's faster or has better abilities."

Reed frowned, but understood the logic. "Yeah, I get that. Guns are kind of useless if the other person can dodge or close the distance too quickly."

Reed thought for a moment, then allocated his points as follows:

Melee - 2

Defense - 1

Sword - 0

Gun - 0

Devil Fruit - 0

Points Remaining - 0

"Great!" Jack exclaimed from the side, clearly pleased with the distribution. "Now we've got some solid foundations. You'll be more resilient, and I'll be the muscle with the extra energy!"

Reed nodded. "Yeah, let's see how it plays out. I've got defense for now, but if things get rough, I'll be able to handle myself."

Jack quickly moved to the missions tab, excitement in his voice. "Let's check the reward for allocating the points!"

Reed followed suit, eager to see if the mission gave any useful rewards. As they opened the tab, they saw the mission "Allocate your first stat point" still marked as uncompleted. When Jack clicked it, the reward was displayed:

Reward: 1000 Beli

Reed shook his head in disbelief. "1000? The cheapest fighting style I see is 50k! How are we supposed to get that much?"

Jack chuckled, shaking his head. "Well, in the game, it cost 150k. So, at least it's a bit cheaper here. Still, we'll need a lot more missions to get there."

Reed sighed. "Looks like we'll be grinding for a while before we can get our hands on any decent fighting styles."

Jack grinned. "Hey, we're pirates now! Grinding is part of the fun."

Reed let out a long sigh, feeling downcast. "Right... but I don't think I can bring myself to steal from innocent people."

Jack quickly shot him a reassuring look. "That's the thing—we don't steal from innocent people. Well, technically, we might be 'bad' pirates, but we're not really bad pirates, you know?"

Reed looked up at Jack and sighed. "I guess so," he said quietly, a hint of resolve returning. Then, his stomach growled, and he grimaced. "Now I'm hungry. Let's find food."

Jack nodded, clearly feeling the same. "Agreed. Surviving here means we need to keep our strength up. Let's explore and see if we can find something to eat."

Reed cracked a small smile. "Hopefully, the island's got more than just monsters and danger."

Jack laughed. "Fingers crossed!"
