One Punch Man: The Judge

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Transmigration

"What bad luck, to encounter such a thing right after transmigrating." Takizawa Haruto wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and smiled bitterly.

There probably weren't many transmigrators who, right after transmigrating, were hunted down like dogs.

He cautiously looked outside the trash bin, and confirming that his pursuer had not caught up yet, relaxed his tense nerves slightly.

"What should I do now..."

Escaping was impossible. Not to mention the injury on his leg, the fact that his pursuer had chased him for four blocks made it clear that the bastard wasn't going to let him go.

"Human, are you looking for me?"

A mocking voice suddenly rang out.

Haruto instinctively rolled on the ground.

The large trash bin he was hiding in was smashed into pieces, debris flying everywhere.

Struggling to get up from the ground, Haruto smiled and said, "You're really petty, I only accidentally spit on your head."

"Human! You insulted the great Cockroach King! You must die!"

The speaker was the one who had chased Haruto for four blocks. Although it called itself the Cockroach King, aside from the two antennae on its head and the large wings on its back, it was essentially a muscular human with four limbs. It was about two meters tall, with bulging muscles and veins.

The Cockroach King looked down at Haruto, who was half-kneeling on the ground, his eyes filled with anger and contempt.

"Come on man, it was just an accident."Haruto explained.

"No matter what human, you must die today!"

Seeing the huge fist approaching rapidly, Haruto thought this time he was doomed... dying right after transmigrating was probably rare among transmigrators, if the Cockroach King had not deliberately toyed with him, he wouldn't have been able to escape for four blocks.

[Detected life-threatening danger to the Apprentice Judge, activating the autonomous defense system]

An emotionless female voice sounded in Haruto's ear. Before he could understand what it meant, his chest suddenly lit up with a dazzling white light.

[Autonomous Defense System—Judgment Light successfully activated]

At this moment, the wind pressure from the Cockroach King's fist was already on Haruto's face. In the next moment, his head would be blown apart. However, the white light suddenly exploded, engulfing Haruto and the Cockroach King in blinding white light.

When the light dissipated, the once invincible Cockroach King had vanished without a trace, leaving no sign that it had ever existed in this world.

"What... what happened..."

Haruto looked around, his face full of disbelief.

[Danger eliminated, deactivating autonomous defense system]

The emotionless female voice sounded again.

"...System?"

Listening to the voice in his ear, but finding no one around, and considering what the voice had said, Haruto made a guess.

Don't all transmigrators get some sort of golden finger? The most common one being a system that issues tasks. Transmigrators can complete the tasks issued by their systems to receive various rewards, from experience points to skill points, or powerful equipment and items.

After a moment of thought, Haruto cautiously spoke, "Are you inside me?"

The system fell silent after saying the last sentence, not answering Haruto's question.

Haruto shook his head with a bitter smile. Though his doubts remained unanswered, he wasn't upset. After all, surviving was already a stroke of luck.

Thinking this, Haruto relaxed completely, lying on the ground with arms and legs spread out, taking big breaths of air—having had a brush with death, he realized for the first time how wonderful it was to be able to breathe.

But soon, the look of bliss on his face disappeared as intense pain radiated from his chest and left leg.

[Initiating scan of the apprentice judge's body...]

]

"Damn it... it hurts so much... system... use judgment points... to heal my injuries." Said Haruto.

[Deducting 10 Judgment Points, starting repair of the Apprentice Judge's injuries...]

As the voice fell, Haruto felt a warm current rising inside him, flowing through his wounds with each breath he took.

The intense pain disappeared, replaced by an incredible sense of vitality...
