chapter 12
Episode 12 .
A strong grip squeezed Daryl’s airway and choked him. Aiden overpowered him like a beast and pinned him firmly to the wall.
“Mongrel, let’s see your real face.”
Daryl spat crab foam from his mouth. There were black thread veins running through his pupils.
“What are you hesitating about?”
The trait of being enraged by demons made Aiden drenched in a vicious murderous intent.
I wanted to burn his whole body and pull out his head, but I was left with some sense of reason.
I couldn’t use the divine power.
Iden brought the vial of holy water to his mouth with his free hand and opened the stopper.
Then he slowly thrust it into Daryl’s face.
“Are you going to search for it without being able to resist? Before that, reveal your ugly nature.”
Big, huh. Daryl opened his mouth desperately. The two eyes played separately like reptiles, and the round pupils began to change vertically.
“Look at this.”
Iden smiled cruelly and splashed a drop of holy water on Daryl’s face.
God’s Nakru is deadly poison to demons, and it inflicts fatal wounds even in extremely small amounts.
The more devil’s blood is mixed, the higher the level of the devil. cause more pain.
Cheeik! Daryl’s skin burned and gave off an unpleasant odor. the devil’s stench. The face where the holy water touched was covered with smooth scales.
“You mixed with the Sentinel.”
Demons living in the Devil’s Realm, they were a race in the form of snakes.
Iden kicked off the match and tossed the paroxysmal Daryl to the floor.
He groaned and closed his mouth desperately. As if trying to keep the screams from leaking out.
Aiden was a little puzzled. Couldn’t you stand it? It was common for them to cry desperately and die slowly.
Iden flipped the groaning Darryl over to his feet.
Daryl’s eyes were looking at Iden, desperately begging for something.
It wasn’t a beg for life.
“Three, three. Sein…, keuheouk.”
Aiden grabbed his hair and pulled him closer.
“what? Speak straight.”
“Yeah, brother. I don’t know, I don’t know…”
Daryl was speechless. The moment Iden was about to ask again, the locked door opened.
“Sir Aiden.”
It was the female knight Sistine and the Vandel priest.
Aiden looked at the two with a puzzled expression. They weren’t at all surprised by Daryl’s real face.
“What are you talking about? If you don’t explain properly, you too will die here.”
Sistina trembled, and Vandel swallowed a groan.
The two immediately put their minds together and calmly opened their mouths.
“Sir Aiden, as a sworn knight, I swear to you that I have never been stained with evil.”
“I, too, am a human who has dedicated his life to God. You cannot be seduced by the enemy of God.”
Iden threatened in a low voice.
“I was asked to explain. It’s an oath and a dedication, so I didn’t ask you to line up the mouthful.”
Cistine closed the open door and carefully opened her mouth.
“······ Daryl is a quarter. Priest Vandel and I are monitoring and protecting him by order of the Archbishop. Sometimes, we did missions together.”
The vague hypothesis was getting closer and closer to certainty.
In the middle of the game, there was an incident in which Archmage Kadak destroyed the main headquarters of the Church.
In the end, Paladin (the highest paladin) overpowered Kadak, but the damage was indescribably devastating.
It was a big case, but it was not dealt with in detail. It was because in the middle of the game, the user had no influence to intervene in the fight between the strong. No matter how fast the growth rate is.
anyway. Kadak’s motive for the raid was revenge.
Hatred for the church that slandered its disciples. As Iden remembered, the archmage’s disciples were of mixed race.
A half-demon with demonic and human blood mixed together. The church did not disclose the names separately.
Just a rumor, I heard that one of the disciples was a magic instrument, but now I see that it was Sein. Daryl’s sister.
Aiden was embarrassed. I would have thought Archbishop Tegain was behind it.
Daryl and Sanin, disciples of the archmage and brother and sister of demon hunters, were abandoned by Tegain.
Iden looked at Daryl, who complained of pain.
“Since it’s a quarter, it seems to hold up at least.”
A quarter of the black blood was flowing through his body.
Aiden chewed his lips and asked the priest and knight.
“Did the Archbishop expect me not to notice?”
Sistina shook her head.
“no. However, even if you notice, when you use divine power. In other words, you assumed you would figure it out during the mission. The Archbishop told me to give him a word before that.”
While Sistina was trying to find the timing to speak, Iden caught her attention and came to this point.
“So, what are you going to do? You want me to slaughter the hounds?”
Sistine’s face was pensive. As she glanced out of the room, her eyes softened in pity.
Cistina moved closer to Iden so Daryl couldn’t hear. He even whispered in my ear.
“That’s… I’ll leave it up to Sir Aiden’s judgment. If you think you need it for the mission, use it, if not, kill it. In addition, he said that he would not intervene as it is the Lord’s right to take action after the mission is over.”
Aiden’s chest felt tight. Tegain may not know, but if you kill this guy, disaster will strike.
Archmage Kadak. It wasn’t enough for that monster to turn Seonghwangguk upside down, it was Marira who finally found Iden.
“sh*t.”
After thinking about it for a long time, Aiden decided that killing him himself was not the right choice.
Seeker of Annihilation is a very nice trait, but every time I get into this situation, I feel very f*cked up.
Because I had to somehow suppress the desire several times stronger than the s*xual desire.
“Call Sein.”
Daryl’s face, which had been paroxysmal with pain, turned even whiter.
“what. don’t know… Big, heo. Three, three.”
Iden managed to hold back the rising murderous intent and squeezed his muzzle hard.
“Don’t open your mouth in front of me. Don’t breathe, don’t spit out any words. Got it?”
It was because the smell of the devil’s breath and black blood clouded his reason.
Cistina hesitated while watching Aiden’s notice before opening her mouth.
“······Actually, Sein doesn’t know that he is a quarter. What’s more, it’s strange, but there’s no case of mutating, and it doesn’t show any rejection to holy power.”
Aiden could roughly guess the reason. Kardak must have planted a special artifact, or blocked it with magic.
What about Daryl? I had a question about it, but I couldn’t figure it out right away.
Whatever it was, the whole situation came as a great stress to Iden.
I thought it would be good if there was no spillage of gastric juice.
“It’s too sh*t.”
“sorry.”
“Please forgive me.”
Sistine and Vandel both bowed their heads at the same time.
Iden thought they had no reason to apologize to him. If so, their apology must have been an attitude stemming from guilt.
“You all sympathize with mixed-race siblings.”
The faces of the two of them froze as if they were bewildered. Seeing that there was no denial, it seemed that Aiden’s guess was correct.
Iden approached the priest and knight who were standing as if nailed to their places.
“The knight who swore and the priest who swore to God stand side by side, defending and sympathizing with the hybrids. I just don’t understand.”
Sistine’s face turned blue.
“······sorry. I won’t make excuses. However, what I have felt watching the siblings over the past few months is that they are closer to humans than demons. Please, I hope that at least a handful of mercy dwells in your judgment.”
“Did you mix with Daryl?”
Sistine’s face heated up. He immediately shook his head.
“I dare to swear in the name of His Majesty the Emperor and His Holiness the Pope that this has never happened.”
It didn’t look like a lie. He meant that he wasn’t defending Daryl because of his passion.
“A priest? From the looks of it, the priest seems to have a similar idea to Lord Sistine.”
Vandel hesitantly opened his mouth.
“It is certainly true that cold blood flows in the veins of the siblings, but the red blood that fills the rest is warmer than anyone else. Just as light can swallow darkness, I think it is possible enough if they have a chance.”
Whether the brother and sister have the ability to roast and boil people, or whether what they felt was real. Iden didn’t know.
“I wonder if I can say that even while hanging from the heretic inquisitor’s frame.”
Both of their faces turned pale. It wouldn’t be a sin to use mixed blood on the Archbishop’s orders, but virginity was another matter.
“That, that’s…”
“done.”
Even being in this room was hard for Aiden. It felt like it would calm down a little with some fresh air.
I left the two behind and went out to visit.
‘Let’s cool down.’
When I left the room and went outside, I saw a half-horse again.
Late at night, Euron and Sain were talking in the inn garden.
The girl listened to Euron’s story with her eyes shining brightly.
Euron was immersed in what he was so excited about.
“Don’t look back! After commanding like this, he fights the Dark Warrior to death, but his spear flies! It flew off and pierced his torso, and Sir Aiden jumped in and cut him in two in an instant. Now then, what was I doing then…”
Sain burst into laughter.
“Idiot, you must have eyes on the back of your head? You said not to look back, how can you not look back?”
Euron scratched his head.
“hahahaha, how can I say that… It’s like saying that fighting back to back has something in common. hahahaha, what does that feel like?”
“f*ck, what is that? Anyway, so. What were you doing at the time?”
“me? It’s me, the dead who caught fire while Sir Aiden was chatting with the enemy commander…”
After Euron spoke, he gave a slightly bitter smile.
“Actually, it didn’t help much. The interrogator did everything. I think I just swung the knife because I was intoxicated with the feeling that I was just doing something… but, to be honest, I can’t even think of it. hahahaha.”
“I know what. The Holy Knight is your brother’s idol. Do you respect me?”
“of course. Wouldn’t it be harder to find someone who isn’t like that among the recruits? There is a flame that will never go out, called the blue flame of the fire, but in it—”
Iden, who unintentionally overheard, wanted to leave because he felt uncomfortable, but he couldn’t.
The virtuous figures were holding their feet.
“If everything you say is true, you are a hero worthy of a real bible. The Holy Knight.”
Euron, who nodded, looked at Sein’s chest with a puzzled expression.
“But what is it? It suddenly shines.”
“This one? It’s a necklace Master gave me, and when a great hero appears who will rewrite the stopped scripture, I will embrace the light. That the holy relic will lead him to the ruins where he sleeps… Huh?”
The necklace was getting brighter and brighter.
“Why is this?”
“Couldn’t Nile Lee—”
“I don’t think so. Maybe.”
