poetry This is me

Remember me when I close my eyes for the very last time,

Remember me when some how I stumble in this race of life and get left behind,

Remember me and tell me how much u loved as lay my body to rest,

In this filthy place I tried my best to make a garden ,that was destroyed by the storms and floods that ended up taking my life ,but I did do my best,

This body too young and fragile couldn't handle it like you all did ,

I hope if I made a wound may time take it and turn and hopefully get around the pain, but in the end may it heal

I didn't know what was out there for me hanging on by a thread,

I never really gave it a thought and now I'll never get a chance,

I hope you remember everything about me from the day of my birth to the day of my death ,

From the day I grew my first teeth to the day I drew my last breath ,

Remember me as I lay I this beautiful veld

Flowers all around, a life to be lived

But on the other side never knowing what it means ,

Pulled away from the existence of this crying earth and oozing bends along the wounds that never really healed ,

Remember me as I will never forget you even in my eternal sleep I shall still give a visit perhaps as a dream,

This is my final prayer a forever goodbye that I hold in my heart so very dear, wishing you never forget me dear ,I'm praying you remember me,

When I have turned to dust when all I see is forever dusk

When my lungs have collapsed and my bones turned white .

I might not turn to precious wine after my time has passed

But I wish my memories in your hearts you will forever cherish.
